IndyGuy4KI
Warning: this is a silly thread for fun making Delirium a sentient ride. Who else noticed that just days after the presented by Snickers sign appeared on Delirium it had an issue? Is Delirium not happy about this advertising? Does Delirium prefer a different candy bar, or just does not like any advertising on their sign? Add your thoughts in the comments.
Joshua
I believe it's revolving.
SonofBaconator
Before people get into the silliness, I do want to make a somewhat serious comment: I think the reason why so many people are upset about sponsoring rides because it’s not something that has really been done prior to the merger for CF parks, let along KI. Sure you would have the Hershey company sponsor the trick-or-treat event during Halloween or you have the Coke and Sprite umbrellas scattered throughout the park but when it came to the rides themselves, they weren’t really touched- seeing sponsored rides is pretty much new territory for Cedar Fair. All that said 3 Musketeers>Snickers

The sign and advertising does not really upset me. Would I prefer not to have it, sure. If this helps the company to staff the park, open food stands, and continue to invest in the park, that is fine with me. My only ask is to not plaster trains, cars, and gondolas with advertising stickers. Please leave that to theming.

So is it too soon to tell if the advertising opened food and drink stands (it hasn't) or investing in parks (where is our 2026 announcement) or is the extra money going to bonuses....

The example here is just a pure, lazy cash grab.
Losantiville Mining Co.
Delirium is certainly not revolting! Sure it may not be the cutest ride in the park, but that is no reason to call it revolting!! Maybe it's trying to get some attention because it would like a fresh coat of paint As a reminderfor anyone who's still upset: "Sherwin Williams presents The Eiffel Tower", "BankAmericard Service Center", "North American Van Lines Locker and Storage", "Rainbo Backerei" (I think it was a brand of bread), the "Marathon Turnpike", "SupeRX General Store", "Coca-Cola Presents The Salt Water Circus", the "Firestone Airshow", a giant "Gillette Mach 3" ad in the queue for Top Gun, "Paramount's Kings Island" The difference between the ads we see today and the ads from 1972-1999 is both that Cedar Fair chose to not display many in their parks (leading to a mostly ad-free experience), and that the ads of yesteryear were presented in a somewhat more elegant manner.

It's tragic that you have never experienced Rainbo bread! Also, don't forget about Fast Lane presented by McClutchy Ford, lawn care by Trugreen Chemlawn, and the different car dealers who would have car displays parked on the Area Formerly Known as Coney Mall.

Ha, I forgot about that Mach 3 ad. IIRC, the little theater at Americana/Lesourdsville was also presented by Sherwin Williams. Tbh, I think most people won't pay the Snickers thing any mind. It isn't all that invasive compared to other ad experiences. Every time I go see a movie.. well, let's just say, I'll take AMC slapping a Snickers logo on something over ever seeing that dancing Coke commercial ever again...
I...am SteVe
Seems like White Water Canyon and Invertigo have joined the rebellion. They've both been down for multiple weeks, and there's a Snickers ad close to both of them!
rlentless
Does anyone feel like White Water Canyon is on the chopping block? I don't want to see it go, but I admit I have not ridden on it for years. I do not like having wet clothes walking around the park. I believe it is a high maintenance cost ride and it is 40 years old now. Have the lines been low the past couple of years?? Other parks like Kentucky Kingdom and Holiday World have been getting rid of their rapids rides and WWC doesn't seem to be that popular of a ride. Buckeye Brad
Back in the day I recall several “Kodak photo spots” around the park. Clever, appropriate, subtle. For anyone not as old as me, Kodak was probably the biggest consumer brand of cameras and photography.

Cannon AE-1 was my tool of choice in that era but Kodak was certainly the film of choice.

Please leave that to theming. 10 years ago, during my first visit to Six Flags Magic Mountain, I did most of the coasters including Viper. At the time, Viper’s trains were covered in ads. It was really strange. I think some of the ads were beauty products themed or something. Next time I went to the park in 2018, they did get rid of them by then at least. Like honestly, a feature in the now year old Planet Coaster 2 game allows you to put things on rides and coaster trains to skin them and some people have taken that to the extremely. I saw a video on YouTube by LetsGameItOut with a steel coaster train having literally thousands of trees attached to it, leading to a nightmarish and hilarious outcome as the train went around. I’d honestly much prefer to see something nightmarish like that somehow irl against literal physics than see another ad plastered onto a roller coaster train. super7
It’s just a small sign now, but wait until they start putting tacky wraps on the coaster trains
