Overall these stunt shows have not been well produced. They basically just play music and do stunts and there’s no coordination between the two. I don’t know what the dancers are for because they don’t do any significant choreography. I would rather see this amphitheater used in the evening for the bandstand show like they did in 2014. -

Interesting. I just watched a YouTube video about The Sphere last night, and the plan to roll them out worldwide, but in different scales. Subjectively, I don't think Six Flags would have the money, or if they did, actually invest the money in one of these. I think for a mini sphere the cost they projected was around $250 million plus the operating expenses are exponential. The Las Vegas sphere took in something like 1.25 billion in top line revenue and was still in the red in spite of the luxury experience and spend. Unless Kings Island had this open every day of the year, I think it would be a paperweight, and probably the end of Six Flags as we know it. -

I actually took a survey from the park a few days ago and part of it was they had a list of possible enhancements to the park and had me rank my top 3. One of the options listed was a mini "sphere" theatre with seating. There was no concept art or anything, but what I have in mind is a much smaller Las Vegas sphere type theatre. I'd be all for that as long as it isn't dark for the peak summer season like the KI Theater is. -

I had mostly given up on the matter until Cedar Point put the age suggestion (I think it was 14 and up) on one of their shows last season. Of course they will probably change the show for this season to remove whatever made it unsuitable for young children, but the precedent is there. They could also cover up a lot more skin — that's not the part that I'm missing from Hot Blooded FYI — but the International Showplace needs something big and exciting that isn't just a hype show. Now I won't say that the park needs to stop letting little kids through the turnstiles during Haunt, but I do think that catering to families during an event like this plays into its own ratchet theory. Whatever happens with the stunt shows I hope they can move elsewhere in the park after 2027.
