Got to ride it three times this morning. I was actually very impressed—smooth and surprisingly forceful for a kiddie/family coaster! Great addition to the park and is sure to be very popular. Will be interesting to see how it functions since it has one train and has Fast Lane.

The ribs were good.

The landscaping team is running with a pretty small team, combined with limited time in the morning before the park needs cleared along with prepping for the food and wine festival and planting in the waterpark. (We just carved out time last week to do the carousel planter, and the main bed is coming up)

It will be similar to Invertigo and Woodstocks Air Rail. They both also have Fast Lane and also only run one train. Sent from my SM-G986U using Tapatalk

Glad to hear that it's a fun ride! I always think its important to go in with a blank slate mindset when riding a new ride/coaster. It's super easy to set yourself up to think a ride/coaster won't be good due to how it looks/POV/etc but I'm glad to hear that this new family coaster packs a little punch. I think if others feel the way you do about it, KI will have a winner on their hands and I think the relationship with Vekoma could be restored. I'm proud of them for re-inventing themselves and getting back in the game. I look forward to giving this a whirl and experiencing it for myself!

Both trains were running last weekend. Anyone know if it was removed earlier this week?

Also the maximum height is 80 inches if anyone is curious.

The minimum height is 38 inches.

Zamperla offered CF a multi-Intamin refurbishment package. Next year KI will open 2 Eiffel 2 Tower. When ascending, the elevators will use multiple launches a la Power Tower, except using LSMs, and it'll stop at the top, not the bottom. When descending, the elevator will perform a randomized program of ascents and drops like Tower of Terror.

It'll be interesting to see how this show fares compared to last years. I felt like there was a lot to be desired, but I also know that stemmed from having been spoiled the previous year with the 14-minute long spectacular for the 50th Anniversary. I am hoping this one has a bit more of a refreshed feel to it instead of the sort of "leftovers" last years show felt like. I'm not bashing the show, I just didn't feel the "wow" factor like I did the previous year. I am always grateful to see fireworks and I'm glad the drones are here to stay. But I also know that there is so much more use of the technology they have at hand (ahem, the pyrotechnics) that really give that full-immersive experience.

Coney BBQ had Baby Back Ribs (back) replacing Burnt Ends tonight. The signs out front reflected the change as well.

So many comments about the cost of the burger and it being under cooked, but if the burger was $3 and undercooked, that would be ok? My favorite from the article:

Got to ride Snoopy's Soapbox Racers today as part of yesterday's ACE silent auction. They sent us around twice so I got to ride it twice and I'll say it is an awesome ride and a great addition and will be a big hit with families! Awesome job to Vekoma and Kings Island! Now I would love to see a Vekoma launch replace Vortex

It was closed so much last year as well that people just come to expect it to not be running. But hey at least it isn't as bad as Kings Dominion's Eiffel Tower!

What has happens to ET ? Last weekend I understand with high winds but 5 -10 mph winds and beautiful weather and closed. Was closed on Thursday also. Where are all the conspiracy theorists? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Both trains only ran last Friday. On Saturday it went to one train, and Sunday the ride was closed with the temp gates blocking the entrance/exit way and did not open again until yesterday afternoon with one train...

I'm sure someone knows....

Can confirm, was there last night and spoke to a ride mechanic on the way out. One of them is down for maintenance, but he didn't clarify anymore. Rode it May 3rd on the train down for maintenance, my seat was loose and the back car sounded like nails on a chalkboard whenever it swung side to side, so I assume they might be addressing some issues with the second train.
