  1. After visiting many other Cedar Fair/Six Flags parks I’ve come to the realization that I don’t give KI enough credit. It has a special feel that no other park in the chain can match. That’s why I don’t see it falling down the chain anytime soon no matter what Six Flags does to it.
  2. I’m okay with the smaller investments the park has been receiving in the past few years. They’ve touched up some weaker parts of the park and made them look very nice. I wouldn’t mind if we got something like a madhouse in the Crypt building for 2026. I think another indoor attraction is always a win. Plus Rivertown doesn’t have any flat rides. My hope is that they touch up Action Zone in 2027 and give it a retheme. Then come 2028 I think it’ll be time to replace Vortex. I’d love to see a large scale Mack launch coaster similar to Stardust Racers. Maybe not dueling but make it bigger than one side of Stardust Racers. Stardust Racers has a height requirement of 48 inches which is perfect and I think they could do so much with a Mack multi launch coaster in that plot of land. Maybe 2-3 inversions. If it takes them a long time to find a worthy world class coaster to replace Vortex I have no problem waiting.
  3. Did they replace River Racers ERT with a bubble show preview at 7?
  4. They could have been surveying for an attraction in the Crypt building maybe not the coaster itself.
  5. I think the family thrill attraction for 2026 will go in the Crypt building. Maybe further down the line (2027, 2028) they’ll update Boo Blasters. I know Mike has expressed interest in updating Boo Blasters for a while so I’m sure they’ve had some conversations about it.
  6. Mystic permits were filed in early June of 2016 if I’m not mistaken.
  7. I 100% agree! I think it would be perfect for that plot of land. I can picture it just towering over the back half of Action Zone as you walk in.
  8. I hope you’re going later in the year because I’m hearing it might not be open until mid June at the earliest.
  9. I saw Mystic running back in early March with all 3 trains.
  10. Looks like it’s replacing Paradise Island.
  11. The more I think about it the more I want a S&S Screamin swing to replace Skyflyer next year. I love Screamin swings and I think it would be a perfect fit for Action Zone. I can just picture it towering over Action Zone with guests staring at it in amazement.
  12. Since the drones are back I wonder if that means the family thrill attraction for 2026 won’t go in The Vortex plot since that’s where they launch the drones. Or construction won’t start until after August 31st which would likely mean a delayed opening in the spring.
  13. Did anything ever happen with this? Still hoping for new trains.
  14. I saw them cycling a few mornings ago. Opening day is right around the corner.
  15. I doubt Mike would go for this but I wouldn’t complain if we got something like this. As long as it came with an Action Zone retheme.
  16. I really like this concept. This is the best case scenario in my opinion.
  17. Not really a loop but I think it would be really cool if instead of the turnaround we have now for Orion it was sort of a corkscrew element that twisted down into the speed hill. Give the ride a really unique element for a giga. I also don’t even know if it would be possible with B&M clamshells.
  18. Did the 2023 one say Vekoma on it for Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers?
  19. If this is a family thrill launch coaster like Big Bear Mountain with onboard audio I would be all for it. I love Big Bear Mountain at Dollywood. It’s actually my favorite coaster at Dollywood.
  20. Kings Island won’t get a thrill coaster by 2030.
  21. Has anyone been to the park recently to see if it is still there?
  22. New trains or could they be looking at raising the max rider height from 76 inches to something around 78 inches?
  23. If it was a Vekoma family launch coaster like Big Bear Mountain I would be all for it. Actually Big Bear Mountain Is my favorite coaster at Dollywood. I would hope if they did they would theme it well and give it onboard audio. Cedar Point is putting onboard audio on Siren’s Curse so I don’t think Six Flags would be against it. That 10 inversion Gerstlauer Infinity coaster concept they shared in the survey looks amazing too.
  24. I’ve done this poll before but it’s been a long time. I’m interested to hear everyone’s thoughts.
  25. Big Bear Mountain and Dragonflier at Dollywood both have 36 degree operating temperatures so I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s the same for Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers. I also believe it’s on the park for deciding what temperature to run it in because I know Energylandia runs their family boomerang in negative temperatures and snow. The park was also testing Racer in the snow last week so maybe they will run it in colder temperatures.
