  1. They're far enough from the track there that being hit by a train shouldn't be a concern, and the hard hats would protect them from falling objects.
  2. When I rode the train Saturday they said it would open after Memorial Day. Sent from my LG G5 using Tapatalk
  3. The issue with cups on passholder preview night affected lots of people. I would assume the invalid barcode issue was either a problem with that batch of cups or with the stand itself. I bought my cup at a food stand on passholder preview night and haven't had any problems with it. And yes, the cups should be good at all CF parks again.
  4. I'll have to give Rougarou another try when I visit CP in July. I rode it last year and ended up with a major headache afterwards from my head hitting the restraint throughout the ride.
  5. While I was in Planet Snoopy yesterday, the ride op at Linus Launcher had to tell someone not to remove their shoes while the ride is in motion.
  6. I also had a great time at Coasterstock, though the re-ride policy is annoying. ERT during an enthusiast event with 90% of the rows on the current DB train empty. I move back a row because someone's waiting for the one I'm in and I'm told I have to get off and go back around to ride again. Why?
  7. It's entirely possible Heinz wasn't aware of the Montgomery Inn sauce until recently. A couple of years ago they installed a couple of "healthy" vending machines at Newport on the Levee. Originally the choices included assorted drinks - natural soda, bottled water, etc. A year or so after the machines were installed, these drink options suddenly vanished and were replaced with a note on the machine saying that those drinks couldn't be sold due to the Levee's contract with Coke. This was despite the fact that there are no Coke machines on the main floors of the Levee - they're all in the garage (and one inside the main entrance off Third Street - one floor below the main floor). It doesn't always make sense, but if someone pays for exclusivity, they will typically do what they can to ensure there is no competition in that area.
  8. Patron sues Six Flags Great Adventure over injuries caused by a loose cell phone on El Toro: http://www.courierpostonline.com/story/news/2016/05/18/huzenik-six-flags-adventure/84560080/
  9. Kentucky Kingdom has challenged Donald Trump to ride Storm Chaser. Apparently he's going to be at the Kentucky Expo Center on the 20th for an NRA convention. http://www.courier-journal.com/story/news/local/2016/05/18/ky-kingdom-invites-trump-ride-new-coaster/84547686/
  10. I'll probably be up there at some point during the 4H fair, since it's more convenient for me that way (don't have to request a day off work to go). I haven't been in a couple years.
  11. Apex has added another small park to their portfolio. This one is located in Grand Island, New York. http://newsplusnotes.blogspot.com/2016/05/martins-fantasy-island-purchased-by.html
  12. Thanks again for all your hard work on this! It's great to see so much progress being made in such a short time.
  13. Speaking of Indiana Beach, they posted on Facebook yesterday that they're looking for extras for a photo/video shoot on Memorial Day weekend. See https://form.jotform.com/apexparks/indianabeachfilmshoot for more info and to apply.
  14. They need to be more specific with most of those locations as well.
  15. Same type of coaster and same manufacturer, but the one at CP is taller, faster and longer.
  16. If I had time I'd consider swinging by Kennywood while I'm up in PA in July, but my plans to see the Lake Erie islands pretty much eliminate that option unless I add another day to the trip which I'd rather not do.
  17. Those can be some of the best times to be at the park. One time I was at KI when a storm rolled through an hour or so before closing and completely cleared the park out to the point where everything was a walk on.
  18. I think the long food lines yesterday were due to not enough staffing. They even had a security guard working at Scrambler yesterday. I still haven't gotten to Surf Dog yet this season, but hopefully will be able to knock out the few things I haven't ridden yet during Coasterstock in a couple weeks.
  19. I was glad to hear it again yesterday as well. Now I'm hoping they'll clean up the front of it and replace the bulbs on it as well.
  20. It's a shame that the park now has to come up with more money, but it also doesn't make any sense as to why the trustees would get any money when they didn't even pay for the insurance policy.
  21. Here's the link to the regular version of the article for those not on a mobile device... http://www.ktre.com/story/31910894/3-injured-when-six-flags-ride-stopped-mid-point
  22. I'll be up at the park tomorrow before work. Hopefully it won't be too crowded in the morning since the Banshee Brew Festival doesn't start until 4.
  23. I am positive the chicken is the same. But the breading is either different or applied differently. Also RHOFG they are either fresher or cooked by someone who knows what they are doing. I have eaten at both frequently and 90% of the time it is a better at RHOFG. Although I do like the Chipotle sauce at the chicken shack. Crazy question about RHOFG this year. Last year you could pay the extra two dollars and get the potato wedges instead of the chips. Is this still an option? No one at the restaurant had a clue when I asked about it. Yes, specialty potato wedges are still an available menu upgrade for $1.99 at RHoFG. I can't for the life of me figure out how to upload a photo to this post, otherwise I'd share the note from the menu, which is listed under the entrees section. See http://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php/topic/26752-tutorial-how-to-upload-photos-caution-several-large-image-files-ahead/ for info on how to post photos.
  24. See also the Cincinnati Zoo, which had an Ice Age film in its 4D theater during the holidays.
