I went to Planet Snoopy Grill on Monday and was able to get a 4-piece Chicken Tender meal there with my season pass. I don't know if that's how many they usually give you or not, but that's what I got when I told them I wanted the season pass chicken tender meal.

I prefer a frosty mug of IBC at Cracker Barrel or a frosty mug of the stuff from Root Beer Stand in Sharonville. The stuff from Culver's is good too, though I don't think they server it in frosty mugs.

This will be at least my third time at Balloon Glow, so I'm well aware of the routine

I'm hoping to make it to Coney for Balloon Glow again this year. I haven't decided exactly what I'm doing that week yet though.

I haven't been following along all that closely, but from what I've read here, I honestly wouldn't take anything they've said as a clue to the new ride yet. So far most of what's been mentioned has been based on actual facts about the real Mayflower (102 passengers, 66 days at sea, etc.). Some things may be hints, but nothing I've seen so far seems obvious. -
Just a reminder to everyone. Posting screenshots is fine, but quotes with links to the source are much better, especially since most search engines can't read images.

I'm sure the news crews picked it up from the radio. It seems most of them have scanners which monitor police and fire frequencies for anything that might be newsworthy.

It's a big bridge over a deep valley and they have to maintain traffic during the construction as much as possible. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

I would be surprised if this has any major impact on the show. I'm sure they have backups in place in case someone gets sick or injured, especially when you consider how many performances they'll put on over the next three months.

The problem is they're saying the spans "was" demolished instead of "were" demolished. Again, I realize Dayton isn't a huge news market, but you'd still think they could catch simple grammatical errors like that.

I would also recommend both parks if you can. Neither is very expensive and both have great things to offer.

The one I booked is 10 minutes from the park and $60 a night. Am I missing something or are you just cheap? -
Holiday World advice/tips

Got the hotel booked. I've got until 4pm on August 23rd (the day I plan to arrive) to cancel it, so that gives me plenty of time. Also, on a related note, AAA.com says the tax rate there is 11%. Sounds like the county and/or the city of Dale are taking advantage of Holiday World's tourist draw. -

That's "Rumbler", not "Rambler"... Still an interesting look at how they built those coasters. It also explains how a giant wooden coaster ended up at a small family park in the middle of Kentucky (if you've ever been to Beech Bend, you'll understand - that coaster seems really out of place there). -

That helps. According to IMDB, Building the Biggest was a 6-part miniseries. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0803961/ -

What was this documentary called? I did a quick search on YouTube but couldn't find anything. However, I doubt that the "new series" teaser was in reference to the documentary itself. Discovery heavily promotes their new TV shows in other shows on the network. -
I'd still like to see local sports info as well, even for minor league / lesser known teams. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

Saw it today and really enjoyed it. It's also much more family friendly than Ed Alonzo was, which is a nice change. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

This popped up on the mobile site today (it wasn't there earlier so I don't know when it was added). Go to the site from a mobile device and tap on Best Day Contest. This is all the info I have. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk

I'm sure it was brought to her attention that park employment is not an excuse for ignoring the rules. I don't know that there's much they could do about it otherwise, but hopefully that embarrassment and being told she couldn't ride were enough. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk -

Also, on your way down, be sure to stop and "See Rock City" (as numerous barn roofs and billboards will tell you). It's a bit off the beaten path, but well worth the visit. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk
