  1. If you buy 4 tickets for instance, and you all wish to come back the next day, you will EACH have to pay $21 additional to purchace 4 next-day tickets.
  2. OK, unrealsk8r has done a good job of explaining things, let me just break it down step by step very clearly. When you buy a one day admission ticket to Holiday World and Splashin Safari, you pay one price. That ticket that you purchased allows you full, unlimited access to BOTH parks, all day long, as many times as you want to go from Holiday World to Splashin Safari back and forth. Splashin Safari is a "park within a park" with 3 entrances/exits that you can freely go in and out of as often as you like. Now, lets say you and your Family decide "Hey, this is the best park we have ever been to, and its a GREAT value.... lets come back tomorrow!" If this is the case, you simply go to the front of the park, and for only $21 additional dollars each., you can all get admission tickets to the park to use the next day. If you want to go to Holdiay World one day, and Splashin Safari the next, you can do that. If you want to go back and forth from water to dry each day, you can do that. If you just want to go for one day, and visit both parks for one price, you can do that too. Have fun, its EASY to do at Holiday World and Splashin Safari
  3. Hey, just to let everyone know who may be interested, tonight at 10pm EST on The Food Network, the Ace of Cakes episode with the working I305 cake airs.
  4. Ive got a t shirt shop a couple of miles from my place, Im going to talk to them and see what it will cost to have something made... and what the minimum order is etc etc. Doing that Thursday and will have info for those interested then.
  5. LOL, yeah I saw the bumpersticker and I was instantly like "Oh I am SO getting that made into a T shirt for Sep 10th!!"
  6. Thank you for the info RumorSmasher, Ive been waiting for this little tidbit . I actually saw a bumper sticker that Im turning into a t shirt to wear to the event that I thought was just GREAT! It said "2QT2BSTR8"
  7. While I definitely agree that, fundamentally, B&M hypers cant really be compared due to the different aspects each delivers... after comparing the two visually, I feel that the feel of the twisting second and 5th drop I will get while riding in the Night Row will fulfill my desires better than DB does. By the end of last season, I would get on DB and the FIRST time I rode it each day still gave me that "wow" feeling, and subsequent rides did not do that at all.
  8. Well, Ive been told (not experienced it YET) that the experience of riding in the Night Row cant be compared... so that could be why.
  9. It will be just like Beast is now.... no more than 10 minutes wait unless its a School outing, special event day, or Haunt night.
  10. That will be nice... but we will be leaving the park right before they start, to get to our viewing place that Jesse told us about. Hanging in the pool till 930 will be nice though
  11. Tempest was fan-freakin-TASTIC! I was up for another but noooooooooooo, not Kelli LOL (j/k). My Wife and I will be there the 3rd, as will Kelli and possibly Jesse and Family. Im not concerned about the crowds, as I have been given a good piece of information on where to watch the fireworks... and I will be there more for the enjoyment of Family and Friends. Too bad I wont see you that day except maybe in passing, as I am NOT a fan of ferris-wheels and I have no intention of ever stepping into the Rock-o-Planes lol.
  12. A seasonal park is just that... its open in accordance to the seasons of the year. KI, CP, WoF, etc etc etc are all seasonal parks because they close for part of the year, during the winter. On the other side of the spectrum, Disney parks are Destination Parks that stay open year round, due to the weather during the winter months being much more conducive to outdoor enjoyment. I would also assume Busch Gardens Tampa is also open year round, but am not positive.
  13. When I think about free drinks at KI, a tombstone placed along the walkway during Haunt just across from the floral clock in front of IJST comes to mind... its in Memorial of Bobby "#!@* NO IT AINT HAPPENIN!" Shiering.
  14. You could go get your mind off of it and relax by going to ride the big blue B&M on the shores of Lake Erie Sparky, who just COULDNT resist.
  15. Riding Voyage without getting beaten up is as blatantly simple as doing two things. Ride it in the same fashion as you would a crotch rocket on a winding road.... lean INTO the turns (obviously hands up which you would NOT do on a crotch rocket) as the turn approaches. Ask Jesse and Brad how much that helps... they were "following" me visually every time they sat behind me at Holiday Hustle, and Jesse and Keith were doing it at HWN until it was too dark to follow me by sight. Another simple solution is to switch seats every other ride... right to left to right repeat as necessary. I didnt do that well enough Friday night, and my left ribs are still slightly tender.... but its a lesson learned and I was MUCH better Saturday when I did that.
  16. Uhhhhhhhh yeah. The "chain" being referred to by the context of that statement was the Company... or chain of parks. As far as the shirt, dont worry goody, as long as its on the internet DK wont have a clue it exists unless one of his assistants tells him.
  17. If it is true, all I can say is WOO HOO, one down, two to go. Well, three if you count the one in North Carolina.
  18. I dont know what your problem was, Brad, I was taking photos with one hand, and firing my turkey gun with the other and still scored 1170
  19. And how many MILLIONS less has Coney Island spent continuously repairing/re-engineering the structure and the image/reputation, of the Cyclone... an International Icon that has been in existence for many decades longer? I am willing to bet thats for a good reason... like decades worth of highly satisfied patrons who faithfully come to ride it each and every year... and far fewer, if any, successful attempts at civil litigation. Sparky... who no longer posts, but could not let a comparison of that nature pass
  20. Sweet, Ive been lurking the Forum specifically for this info, its nice to have it now. I was there last year, and with just over 3000 people in the park... ALL of which were Hella cool and GREAT fun to be around... it was absolutely the second best time Ive ever had in this park (the first being the Diamondback Auction Ride). The price I paid for the ticket to the event was a complete steal for the time I had!!
  21. Though I agree 100% with every single thing you said in your post, my only problem with any of it is this. With the mindset of the braintrusts in Sandusky, their version of "giving passholders an incentive to stay in the park" will be to impliment a season long "No re-entry" policy as opposed to ANY type of cost breaks whatsoever.
  22. It actually just tripled in value!! Its the only Mini Cooper associated with Paramount, Kings Island, or CF that still has its stickers! EDIT: It is really cool, I would have at least tried for it had I not known Id be travelling during the weekend, I just knew I wouldnt be able to track the auction as closely as I wanted to. Nice buy Gator
  23. Or, one could simply refrain from commenting on a certain subject when one knows that policy comes into play... as opposed to feeding the powers that be the "kool aid" and furthering their self-indulgent thoughts that they can do no wrong. Its thinking like that which has sparked many big Qs about the operation and ownersip of the company, as you have said numerous times yourself
  24. Goofy, everything you have stated within your posts on this topic absolutely describes my feelings about CF as an Entity since September of 2007. As far as your distance analogy... well I live 2 hours from KI, 5.5 hrs from CP, and 7 hours from WoF.... and Im driving the 7 hours on the 17th for WoF opening day. I have exactly two KI trips planned this year, one in September (not sure of the date yet, it depends on when a certain event is going to be held this year) and the other for GOCCs Fall Freakout in October. On the flipside to that, Ive got at least 4 CP trips planned, and will be very hopefully celebrating a new CEO. EDIT: Robbie, I am in full agreement with you concerning the Eagles and Antiques.... put BLSC (or as Im calling it now "Bland Boring Unthemed Coaster" or BBUC) over where the go kart track is.
  25. He is not referring to the decals, he is referring to the actual front facia on the train. If you look at the first pic, you can very clearly see that the fiberglass front facia is not square with the train, its tilted to riders left (viewers right). Now, look at the second photo, and you can clearly see the facia IS aligned squarely with the train.
