Just to add to that- the entire tri-state area (pretty much the I-275 loop and a couple counties outside that) is under a tornado watch until 9 pm and a flash flood watch until midnight.

KI lets slip plans for 2019 exist on IG today?

^If memory serves, KD closed theirs down for that conversion right before Cedar Fair purchased the Paramount Parks, then they returned it to running as it has been originally. I also recall a rumor that Paramount was in the works of doing a ride rotation program similar to what SIX did that started with Stealth moving to Carowinds and included either KD's or KI's Flight of Fear and Hypersonic XLC. -
Kennywood adds Steelers coaster!

Is this S&S trying to bring the ArrowBATic concept to life on steroids? I had no idea S&S was ever involved with something like this with their focus on their 4Ds and variants thereof. Also, I consider UPitt to be the bigger evil in Pittsburgh. -
I thought it was a bit ill conceived to add it at the bottom of the staircase like they did below the station. At least have it after a longer path so the people thin out a bit before entering. Its one of the worst bottleneck points in the park, especially with Banshee's mass capacity.

If KI gets a mouse, hopefully they operate it with continuous motion instead of the stacked cars that CF is known for. -

I have to say this season, Racer is running the best it has been in years. It also constantly leads the park in rider count, so its still doing something right even though the GP isn't exactly thrilled with it anymore. If it had the trims taken off on the turn arounds, it'd be an airtime monster on the return run. I've encountered bits bordering on ejector air on it this season. Now if we could only get the park to repaint it and get the trains to sync better on the lift hills. -
I've ridden quite a few mine train style coasters from Arrow and Vekoma, and I consider Adventure Express to be the best one I've ridden, even over BTMR at Disney.

Remember last August when (almost) all the CF parks did announcements on the same day (including CP and KBF which never happened before then) and KI was the elephant park in the room that didn't make any? Even the smaller parks like Dorney and MIA announced their Pre-K plan that day. KI easily could have done the Coney BBQ announcement then. TBH, I didn't feel they were that excited for this season, especially in their under the radar announcement of Coney BBQ, and that showed in the GP reactions. I know a lot of season pass holders that skipped this season.

No sort of news about the park anywhere. Also, not only is there no link to the webcams, but the page has been disabled as well if you type in the web address.

This is prior to me riding Steel Vengeance, so that may very well be in this category for me in a few weeks. For the time being though, my favorite wooden coaster and overall in the state of Ohio is Beast and my favorite steel coaster is Magnum XL-200. Mystic Timbers is the only other woodie that would be up there with Beast, and for steel, Millennium Force, Banshee, Diamondback, Maverick and Rougarou would be in the running as well.

- How much do trends within the industry play apart of what and when the park decides to add new attractions? - Does the park use any sort of guest survey or any other sort of sociological and/or psychological analytics when coming up with plans for the park? - Do parks and design firms (GCI, B&M, HUSS, etc) ever have to tinker with plans about rides from being too intense and/or too tame? Examples? - What kind of focus on Soak City can we expect in the near/further future? - Plans involving Timberwolf in the future? - What kinds of shows are considered for the park, particularly with the revolving circulation of shows in KI Theater?
-
Does anyone else besides HUSS make Top Spins? I'd also take an Enterprise style ride. I really miss Skylab.
-
Does anyone here think that KI has created a mindset among the GP that they'll always extend the Gold Pass offers now? Especially now that they're extending it to July? Think they'll be any backlash if they go through a season and don't extend it?

^A few guests brought in those contact powder firecrackers that you throw on the ground yesterday.

I was the one who had to watch Antique Cars get dismantled all season during 2004. Worked at RT Potato Works that summer, and it was heartbreaking and smelly to watch (one day they hit a sewer line that covered CM, RT and part of IS in a funky smell).
-
^I used the gold pass tickets to skip the line on it a TON the year it opened.

Probably Backlot, i.e. Italian Job Stunt Track. Didn't have a lot of the features it was advertised to have (drifting cars, rumbling down the 'stairs', on-board audio was lackluster, painted black instead of yellow).

Has anyone been the only one on a certain ride before
silver2005 replied to OTTER9919's topic in Kings Island
I came unbearably close to a few zen rides on my trip including Ravine Flyer II and Comet at Waldameer with malem, Thunderhawk, Steel Force, Possessed, and Twister (not counting single car coasters like wild mice, spinners, etc).
