  1. But you have to have a few bigger hills to burn off the momentum of a multi-ton train going 90+ mph. You don't want too much work on the brake runs. A few tall overbanks and maybe a 200 ft camelback would be nice. The idea behind most of the gigas (sans Steel Dragon 2000) has been blending taller elements with elements that showcase their speed.
  2. The idea of SIX owning the Busch Gardens parks depresses me.
  3. Why use the DA land when you got less tree clearing to do when you go towards Banshee and have access to the rest of the SOB plot?
  4. I also think the layout could reach as far as Bat's lift, maybe even further.
  5. I wonder if the perpetually planned European Paramount Park spawned from these ideas. It also does seem odd that Miami doesn't have a major theme park nearby.
  6. The layout I predict is starting in X-Base, heading behind the Flight of Fear building (possibly hopping over it on the return run), and having most of its layout behind Banshee since it's already cleared. That route would lead to the least tree clearing as well. The terrain should serve to make the drop larger than the lift.
  7. The more I think about it (pertaining to 2019), I believe this particular construction project will be pretty difficult to get construction photos of. Even from ET, that area is blocked by the FoF building and due to the distance away from the tower, it won't be easy getting detailed shots from there. For reference, Banshee's construction was much closer to the ET and with Mystic Timbers, you at least had the train to take photos from. Depending on how well they cover the area with the fence, it'll be even harder. I imagine WindSeeker will be ridden a lot by enthusiasts next season, though, even from there is tough with how fast it spins and by the time it stops, its too low to really see X-Base.
  8. ^Assuming they won't put up a wooden fence a la Banshee and Mystic Timbers. Also, no Eiffel Tower access or webcams pointed in that direction.
  9. There's always RMC's single rail design.
  10. ^Didn't they try that with Diamondback and Beast not too long ago?
  11. If its not torn down, I think it'll be a queue house.
  12. Paradise Island opening sightings are even rarer than Coke Freestyle stand openings. Gannersdaddy surely unlocked an achievement of some sort.
  13. I imagine Vekoma would have a say in its service life as well for their own sake.
  14. ^The trick to that is doing so with minimal crossings. I would also think such a train expansion would mean the park would need to buy at least 2 more sets of trains (1-2 more locomotives and passenger cars) if you want to make it bigger and make it convenient. Personally, I think a sky ride that starts in Action Zone around Timberwolf with the other station between Backlot and Diamondback would be a good way to go, linking 2 of the more popular areas of the park.
  15. I will note that Banshee crews have been triple stacking trains more often this season, but usually not for long, like almost as soon as the 3rd train is on the brake run, the train in the station is dispatching.
  16. What's that building supposed to be between Killmart and the new 'Tiques?
  17. ^I think it was something to do with Vortex's construction that led to the removal of The Beast pond. (I could be wrong, though) One thing I wish they would do on Beast's queue is put an actual roof over the switchbacks and the ramp up to the station, maybe widen the switchback lanes as well. The queue up to the ramp feels a tad claustrophobic at times.
  18. Correction- I-71 N coming from Cincinnati is AWFUL. Took me double my usual time.
  19. The weather tonight will probably be a bigger factor.
  20. I really don't think the GP gives a darn about sports teams' colors on a coaster unless the ride in question is specifically themed to that sports team a la Fury 325 and Steel Curtain. If sports team themed coasters were a thing, we'd see a lot more of them by now. Besides, if any team around here gets a themed ride first, I'd put money on the Reds or Buckeyes over the Bengals.
  21. ...water cannon target practice at White Water Canyon.
  22. Firehawk is going to end up as material for another coaster. Its not worth re-locating for any park, even within the chain.
  23. RCDB is currently listing several 'unknown' B&M coasters, all going overseas.
