  1. ^Stand ups aren't holes for any park. They're slowly going to become extinct. GA Scorcher was the last one built and CF is converting the ones they have. SFGAdv and SFMM have both floorless and stand up coasters, though, I think they could always go with a standard sit down conversion, perhaps with on-board sound equipment.
  2. There is an employee at the queue entrance who will check for phones. Not all loose articles, just phones. The thoroughness of the check, at least to me, differed from employee to employee. There are lockers right next to the entrance though. Employees also walk around the queue scanning the line for people who have phones out. I just kept my phone in my car the entire time I was at CP.
  3. My only experiences with drunks in the park have been more of the lighthearted and hilarious type fortunately.
  4. ^Someone hasn't been to Michigan's Adventure...
  5. I'm kinda torn by this. I actually really, really like HP's entrance as is. However, I do agree it can be improved a little bit. I'd rather this have been a 2nd entrance than a re-vamp of the current entrance as I think HP really could use a 2nd. A new coaster is always welcome, and I'm glad HP is acquiring surrounding land to expand upon. It's been like pulling teeth for them.
  6. Its certainly plausible to me. Pretty much anything but a stand up is something I think could be coming in as well. I'd guess either a B&M flyer or floorless are the 2 more likely candidates. Wing and dive, IMO, are less likely but still there to be considered. From most likely to least likely IMO- Giga makes sense because its something of a trend among the bigger CF parks and its been rumored for a while. Flyer makes sense because it'd be replacing the flying coaster that's now on the way out. Floorless makes sense due to replacing a big multi-inversion coaster for another and its kind of a lesser staple at parks KI's size. I put wing and dive coasters lower because unlike Canada's Wonderland, KI is in the same state as CP so they share more demographics together and I'd like not to see the 2 parks becoming too similar.
  7. I'm only gonna assume B&M took a look at Vekoma's equipment and drastically simplified it to make their flying coaster a tad bit more reliable.
  8. Probably not. Most B&M hypers and gigas have pretty high stations. Might make a good queue house though.
  9. Wow, I didn't think Vekoma actually had it working. I thought all this time it was just theoretical.
  10. I want to say the Banshee cam went up within a day to within a week of the announcement.
  11. I wonder what height would be needed to make it the first giga to the 100 mph mark...
  12. Here are some photos via negative-g.com that show the similar station when it was at Geauga Lake. http://www.negative-g.com/six-flags-worlds-of-adventure/2003/six-flags-worlds-of-adventure-2003-4.htm
  13. Kinda weird to have 2 hypers in the same park. Not to hard to make it the longest coaster in the park when most of them aren't all that long (currently Skyrush at around 3,600 ft). I hope they do something a bit more unique that sets it apart from Skyrush, like have a splash or a launch.
  14. ^There would have to be plumbing for FoF's sprinkler system, yes?
  15. I believe Firehawk and Batwing at SFA were supposed to have another unique feature apart from Stealth. I think they were supposed to remain up right until the lift and then tilt back into flight mode, or it was at least something Vekoma had idealized.
  16. I think some people are overestimating the width of the track when it comes to space. Antique Car track isn't too much wider than most of the wider queue lines, and you can get creative enough with the layouts to make it pretty lengthy given the space. I mean, you could fit either of CP's car tracks into that space no problem.
  17. NIghthawk also doesn't have the final helix. Otherwise, they're pretty similar up to the rolling elements.
  18. Vekoma does have a smaller version of their Flying Dutchman model that would fit well at KK. Its called the Stingray (both the ride name and the model name on this particular RCDB link). https://rcdb.com/4124.htm
  19. Most abandoned former ride buildings.
  20. What kind of park does a press release on a Sunday night in the fall?
  21. ...without a Beast or Banshee night ride (or in lucky situations, both).
  22. To be fair, RCT2 guests flock to that particular model in-game.
  23. Looking towards the right side of the entrance at opening in hopes of spotting KICers.
