No, actually a small group of us were chatting about how much work goes into the event. Someone in the group (that was not me) said why don't we give him a card at the event. So I ordered the card, since I had the files of him on The Racer we used. I ordered one of those big cards so everyone at the event could sign it. We had no idea at the time, but it sure makes us happy we did since the reigns have been handed over to Chad for the event.

Don Helbig is no longer with Kings Island. He is heading into a new chapter of pursuing some of his other passions. KICentral wishes him all the best of luck in his career, and we look forward to seeing him on the forums. Let's use this thread to add stories of Don during his time at Kings Island.

This got me thinking. How many bridges do we drive over every day that are not inspected regularly enough and would be deemed unsafe or condemned if they were? We probably don't want to know the answer to that question.

How do you know this? We have no idea the reason it was faulty. Was it a bad pour of steel, was it not in tolerance, or the footer pour was faulty, I don't think we will have those answers until B&M and inspectors do their tests and talk with experts.

In all seriousness, I feel bad for those that made this upgrade. At Valleyfair a Coke freestyle machine was at a stand which was not very weather protected on the front side. That tells me there is no reason they could not add one of those in the VIP area. The VIP area should get a freestyle machine if it is too get a machine.

It's July 4th. That is their sparkler holder. On topic, I wonder if they already have a new support being made? I also wonder will they take up the footer and make it deeper/bigger to make it stronger?

The crane will hold the track up while they replace the support.
