Thanks for sharing your day. AP is definitely a nice addition considering it was not in the plans for 2023.

I would hope so. I would call the park just to be sure. I would be upset if it superseded this year's pass. Do you have the receipt from this year's past to prove what your pass is today?

Can't even go 48 hours without something being totally wrong that is announced.

Camp Snoopy Arrives in 2024 at Kings Island
IndyGuy4KI replied to RedSummit20's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I do think this is going to be an awesome addition to the park. Kids are going to love it, and the playground area is going to be a great reprieve for parents. -
Looks like the park got trending today on Brand X (my nickname for Twitter), and that is with me in Indy. Is anyone going to give KI Comms a pat on the back when deserved?

That is a really good point. I had not thought about that. -
On a more serious note. It has taken me a few weeks to make this post. It is hard when your personal feelings on a situation come into play as well. I struggle with keeping this thread up. We want to be a positive and supportive fan site for the park. After all, that is a big reason this site even exists in the first place. That is even before some of us became members. That incudes myself. The admins have talked about this thread more than any other thread recently. We have to consider if the thread is of value for the forums. Since some of the criticism has been adopted by the park, it is of value and benefit not only in discussion, but seems to be having a positive impact for the park. When I think about the purpose of the forums, I think the following: A place to hear others thoughts, options, and understand another persons perspective of the park. That does not stop at just being a visitor or pass holder. We are also discussing how Kings Island and other parks operate. There is a lot of years of park experience and history on these forums and members of KIC. We may not always agree with or understand a decision that is made by the park. The management of Kings Island (and probably corporate) have made their decision on who they want in their respective roles. Some members may see from the outside looking in that a decision is not the correct one. It is hard to watch seeing a possible bad move or decision hurt the park. lt's especially hard when we have such passion for the park, want to see it thrive and for some have even invested in FUN. In that regard, let's please keep the criticism respectful. Speaking from emotion alone usually ends up not being helpful to the thread or park. We also have to come at it from an intellectual perspective as well. Give us all something to think about in your post.

I had to pull out the external hard drive, but below is a picture when he was a guest at a Coasting for Kids event in 2012. KI Enthusiast Dude

They did an awesome job with Fury. Granted it was a totally different scenario and no communication would have been detrimental to the chain. Alternatively, a small update about little things sure would be helpful. It would be able to put this discussion to rest. This is not the only medium online this same discussion is happening.

I don't and I hope this scenario is the case. The bad part is with other budget cuts, we assume it is one in the same. If not, why can't that be known. More information and understanding turns into empathy and patience to the situation.

I still have a hard time understanding how not running a second train saves them money over the losses they receive from disappointed guests. How many guests will not return this year for a second visit? The possibility of more losses like family and coworkers of those disappointed guests not even coming once because of word of mouth. As @IBEW_Sparkysaid. It's shooting themselves in the foot. I really feel for those at the park that have no desire to be doing these cuts and have no choice in the matter. How about start running actual sales on merch to boost in park spending? Use some of those mobile carts and start selling ice cream buy one get one free. Let's get rid of the fun perks position. We never saw the result of that position anyway.

One train OP at AE today. Saw Planet Snoopy rides closing at 9. Noticed the parking lot 2/3 full while riding Drop Tower. For the GP ticket buyers who dropped hundreds to get in the park today, not a good look for those families at all.

At the park now. Rode KMAA earlier. Only two poor ride ops running it. Loading only car at a time. I expect this operations at a Six or IB parks. I felt so bad for those two guys. They were doing awesome!

That Firestone ad sure is brilliant.

Is anyone actually in charge of Fun Perks? If so, what are they doing?

Holiday World - New for 2024

I think I would have done Gravy Boat as the name, not Good Gravy. Still play on the theme of no gravy since it spilled. -
Top Thrill Dragster Incident

Ya know, I am really thinking that might be the case. -
Now the person has lost a second pair of shorts. Knowing they were going commando by your post, we have a streaker lose in the park.
