So many possible projects, where does the park even start?
IndyGuy4KI replied to Taylor.B03's topic in Coming Attractions
I think the chances of the SOB name being used again is the same as Paramount buying the park again. From a PR and marketing standpoint, that would be a very hard sell. Now, I could see one of the new B&M stand ups going in and resurrecting the King Cobra name. It seems the new standup is getting a lot of good reviews. -
Funny, but shows the dangers of those things if you are under them. That is with a professional company operating them. A very good photo to justify the no drone policy over KI.

The Cargo Loco page has been updated: https://kicentral.com/rides/cargo-loco/ The new gallery for it is on that page. Here is the video taken today.

We will use this thread to post reviews of Adventure Port. Post your reviews of Adventure Express, Cargo Loco, Sol Spin and overall theming. If you don't want to see spoilers, I would avoid this thread until you have a chance to experience it for yourself.

Sorry for the double post, but wanted to share the KIC tweet.

Nope. I saw it 3 maybe 4 times. First to get pics for KIC, 2 to actually pay attention and watch, and third to see it with the kids. Even having ridden PT as a kid, it was not all the WOW for me. Every time I was going to see a show I watched the Off The Rails Show. That was way more entertaining, at least for me anyway.

Coasterstock returns on May 19th and 20th in 2023.

See over 250 photos of this years Coasterstock here: https://kicentral.com/coasterstock/ or on our gallery page: https://kicentral.com/photos/coasterstock-2023 -
Scenario to consider. Corporate says you have (lets just put a fake number to this) 3 Million to work with on your new Adventure Port area of the park. You really want to add 2 new flats in the area. Cargo Loco is 1 million, Adventure Express updates .5 Million, Theming the new area and painting existing structures is .5 million. Sol Spin 48 person is 1.5 million or the 24 Person is $950,000. Do you skip the ride totally because you wanted the 48 person or buy the 24 person that is within your budget? If I was park management, I know I would pick the 24 person to get a second ride.

Here is a look at Coasterstock 2023. -
I upgraded once from gold and I had to pay the rest at the time and had to do it at the park. I am not sure if there is an option on the website. I would also say no payment plan with this change. Call the park to confirm.

IndyGuy4KI replied to IndyGuy4KI's topic in Kings Island Central Newsroom
I did and spent a few hrs in the park this morning -
100% guess on my part, I would say in the next few days.
-
Don't expect riders today though.
-
Right now the park is at the mercy of parts showing up, getting them installed, training ride attendants, and getting the rides/attendants certified. It is really hard to announce an opening day when so many variables are in play. Since we are now in daily operations, we will likely see soft opens of rides as they are certified. I would not expect a big reveal of the full area. That ship has really sailed and not anyone's fault except for getting all of the rides in.

Walking down the midway heard a guy say to another. Guy 1: Which coaster is the suspended one? Guy 2: The Beast
-
I was told yesterday we should be pleased with the updates. Nothing will be shared by the park before it opens.
