  1. Renewed the family's passes in queue for Valvran this morning. Good for 2023.
  2. I am not convinced it confirms anything. Think of all the different merch they have released this year. There's obviously a profit to be made from nostalgic rides and events.
  3. Ferris Wheels are good for one thing only. A light package. They get maybe 250 pph? I feel they are a waste of real estate and cost of operating. I would be very happy with a tilt a whirl, but that is just my opinion.
  4. I have not been to a lot of them. The only two I have been impressed with is SFMM, and SFGA in IL. Even still, the safety at rides and upkeep of rides seem to be night and day compared to any CF park. When we were at SFGA, my son (who was under 48" at the time) probably could have gotten on a B&M Batman clone and never questioned. Even with a wristband on, ride ops at a CF park are still going to notice him and verify he has a band or measure him. That is the type of protocols I want to see and put my faith and trust into. I am willing to spend my time and money there. I never question the safety of myself or my children at a CF park. If there would every be an type of mishap, I know the park had done as much due diligence as they can to make sure the ride is as safe as possible before I get on it.I am not sure I have that 100% reassuring feeling at a Six park.
  5. The only press release from the park today I posted in the thread linked below. I would wager to guess any small changes (if any) will come in January.
  6. Time is running out to experience Kings Island’s historic 50th Anniversary. The summer-long event kicked off Memorial Day weekend and ends Labor Day weekend. The celebration includes the 14-minute “Fun, Fireworks and Fifty” nightly finale* as well as tributes throughout the park highlighting special moments from Kings Island’s history. Guests can experience the anniversary festivities with a 2022 Season Pass, or a 2023 Season Pass which is on sale beginning today. After Labor Day weekend, the park will begin to transition to its fall events, Halloween Haunt and Tricks and Treats Fall Fest. Halloween Haunt, the 2021 USA Today 10Best.com award winner for Best Theme Park Halloween Event, will take place on Friday, Saturday and select Sunday nights beginning Friday, September 23 through October 29. Learn more about Halloween Haunt: https://kicentral.com/ki-haunt/ The daytime family event, Tricks and Treats Fall Fest, will take place select days beginning Sunday, September 25 through October 30. Learn more about Tricks & Treats: https://kicentral.com/tricks-treats/ WinterFest, Kings Island’s annual holiday tradition, will begin on Friday, November 25, and will take place select nights through December 31. Admission Included for the Rest of 2022 with Purchase of a 2023 Season Pass Guests can experience all the fun and thrills, with unlimited visits the rest of 2022 including Halloween Haunt and WinterFest, plus the entire 2023 season, with the purchase of a 2023 Season Pass. 7. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Daryl Hall and Daryl’s House Band played at Kings Island's Timberwolf Amphitheatre Sunday night. Along with Daryl Hall and his band with special guest Todd Rundgren. They were the latest to perform at the amusement park during its 50th anniversary season. Next up is Five For Fighting with special guest The Verve Pipe on August 20th, where the proceeds will benefit local non-profit, A Kid Again. For details, visit the park’s website at visitkingsisland.com. Video:
  8. I saw nothing wrong with the original post you created. Please don't stop posting because someone misinterpreted how you wrote your post.
  9. Those are awesome. I have not purchased any of the cutouts because I don't want to put them together or paint them. So, this is the first one I actually might buy and put the time into putting together.
  10. Maybe I was not clear in my post The normal yearly sales in the past, it is listed at the top, not buried under a drop down. For someone who is not a current pass holder might just glance at the offerings and not think this is for the rest of 2022 because it is not clearly stated at the top. That was the point of my post.
  11. If they are trying to appeal to brand new pass holders, then you would think they would give you the rest of 2022 with this pass with all the extra perks kicking in next year.
  12. Do you think it would be a money maker? The amount of SOB fans might not be a very big base.
  13. I am having a hard time with that one. It seems to me the traffic is worse than pre covid, even with more people working from home. I don't think gas prices has detoured people from traveling. I think the complaining about gas prices is just that, complaints. The traffic on the roads themselves say it has not been that big of an impact. Last point I will make is that if people were having trouble paying for gas getting to the park, wouldn't per caps spending also be down? People are still spending money on top of the extra expense of gas.
  14. It was discussed somewhere. I was not at the event this year, but I thought it was on his wish list, not a confirmed project?
  15. Please share where or any pics. Vague posts don't help the conversation.
  16. That is crazy. I guess it is good to mix n match until you find the best shipping?
  17. Thanks for sharing, that is so disappointing to see. The owners need fired for sure, and someone who takes pride in the assets they own brought in.
  18. Have you purchased them all @standbyme?
  19. Don and Kyle do an excellent job. Luckily, Don loves the history of the park as much as we do, and has the memory to remember it.
  20. I remember that as well. They could not get mother nature to cooperate at all.
  21. I wish someone could overlay them. Anyone have software and knowhow to do that?
