It appears the waterline was put in before the season started. Several cuts thru the parking lot and new hydrants along KI drive.

OK that makes sense. Do keep in mind though that that is how the ride ops estimate the times on the app. However, despite what Fast Lane fans say LOL, the biggest unknown is the Fast Lane users and that can seriously impact that estimate and can really mess up the "if the line ends at this point" approach. The Beast and Orion are two that have the FL queue "hidden" unless the FL line is really long. But take Diamondback for example. You can see the FL line from the other side of the splashdown pond. What you don't know is how many FLers the line separator is letting on each train, and how many of those FLers will be marathon riding and pass you 6 times before you get your turn. The regular line could be ending at the pop machines, which is usually about a 10min wait, but the FL line can make that be a 10min wait if there are only a few FL or the separator is really rationing the FL line to a group at a time or it can be 30min depending on the number of FLers and the line separator allows half a train to be FLers. And then of course there are the "hidden" queues as you mentioned that may or may not be in use. Diamondback has a queue that runs parallel to the splashdown pond that is rarely used, but when it is, they are expecting a busy day. Flight of Fear may have a queue line to the outside, but maybe all the queues or most are closed off inside. Orion has a queue that extends out beyond the final brake coming into the station, but you cannot see if that is being used until you get far enough into the queue line to know. That could be 15-20min full queue that you do not know if it is in use or not.

Well, that is what this thread is for, but it hasn't been used much this year as in the past....

Weather is always a factor, but in some past Father's day, they were parking in the grass at KI Drive and Western Row. But those were also bring a friend deal days. Many here will avoid that day due to past experiences of large crowds.

Wasn't the lightning crazy? A lot of action in a short period.
-
Fireworks time. Must be 10pm...oh wait LOL. Just your run of the mill close early nights (3rd one this season I think). Joking aside, I am actually surprised it even opened back up at all with all the lightning and weather it just took.

It is obviously a hint for a new motorcycle themed attraction that goes upside down

Nope that is their typical marketing ploy. Pre-pandemic 2019 was a record year for Cedar Fair and year to date, this year is way better financially than 2019. As a chain, Cedar Fair is reporting record revenue. Revenue is up 21% thru Memorial Day compared to pre-pandemic 2019, despite 14 fewer operating days in 2022 compared to 2019...Season pass sales up 24% and season pass add-ons up 46% compared to same period in 2019, and a 28% increase in in-park per capita spending - all records for the chain. -

Wasn't CPs VIP given away to random people, or did they have a purchase option also? It is interesting, set up an igloo for a what at most 5-6 hour Winterfest night and charge a lot of money and they sell out in advance for almost every night. Set up a VIP area for a lot less money for a 10 hour operating day and barely anyone uses it. I say give it time. We are still early in the season and I suspect we will see more use late June and thru July as more non-passholders come to the park. -
Oh I agree, it looks like Peanuts will stick around for sometime with CF, but whenever one pays for IP, something can always come up or the relationship sours. I think it is why we have seen recent large attractions are IP created by CF so that they maintain control of it. It is a lot easier to retheme a kiddie land (Peanuts 500 is some paint and decals LOL) than it is a major ride, as anyone around long enough to remember Top Gun to Flight Deck, Tomb Raider to the Crypt, etc. can attest LOL.
-
Other than naming a kiddie ride something Peanuts related LOL, I would be surprised if we totally themed a ride to Peanuts or some other IP. What if they went to the expense to redo Boo Blasters to a Peanuts themed ride (which your idea does sound really awesome) and then two years later CF and Peanuts don't agree on pricing and then they have to de-peanut it. Then we are stuck with yet another ride that lost its character due to IP de-theming issues.

Yep, here is a rare picture of Snoopy not being climbed on despite 4 labels not to climb... Basically if it can be climbed on, kids will do it and the parents don't say a thing. Usually you see a parent here telling the kid to climb hire on Snoopy for the picture

I think it works well for the non-passholder or a family that comes with a member that doesn't ride rides. Certainly cheaper and longer experience than the Winterfest Igloos. You forgot about the outstanding view -
+1 above! For FunPix, you can all be in the roaming photographers photos (pretty much limited to front of the park right now) and then scan at ride kiosk or with the employee however many pictures it takes to capture your whole crew. Have fun!

Supply chain issues. A few months back LaRosa's outside of the park had plain unlogo boxes as well.

I bet you enjoyed the lobby more than her lol.

I thought we already had a review thread for encore?

Past history has indicated it is a very strong likelihood that a preview show will happen. Edit so as to not double post: About 350 saw the first show. Who saw and what was your favorite part? Anyone like what they saw in lobby (or are you too young to appreciate lol)?

Blue Racer has been shutting down at 8pm.
