^That was very well thought out. I hope that closing the ride side will make GL profitable again. Only problem is, their season is severely shortened since it's waterpark only now. Not sure why we received Firehawk instead of Dominator. Sure, you may have needed to take out a few more trees, but, it seems they have plenty of space. To me, Dominator is much more fun than Firehawk, although I like Firehawk. Ok, truthfully, I haven't been on it since the move, but as X Flight, it was fun. I understand that the new location is a huge improvement over where GL had it.

What bars are you referring to when you say the bars on TTD and MF were lengthened? The t-bars? It just seems highly unlikely that those would be changed.

That's a shame, Interpreter, that Intamin won't use the lap bars any more. I think Dragster has the best T-bars and to me was taking MF t-bar and making it better. But, after the incidents, no more.

Well, maybe not all of them. But, it appears that many of them are longer. Apparently, the new belts keep popping up.

I've heard over at Pointbuzz that all of the seatbelts for MF are now longer and accomodate more people. Would like to see it for myself. Here's the link to the MF Seatbelt Length thread.

I think you should wait and ride it before you judge it. Just because you've seen an animated video does not mean you have any idea how thrilling or not thrilling it will be.

There is absolutley very little in common between Farenheit and Maverick. It's an Intamin, of course it's going to look similar. Fahrenheit does not use LIMS, it's a vertical chain lift. The only thing even close to being similar is the Cobra Roll element. None of the other elements were used on Maverick. So yes, the track looks the same and so will the trains but that's about where it stops. Again, it's an Intamin and no, it's not a Maverick "spin-off".

The Dark Knight is not floorless. The moved coaster being renamed Goliath will also have a new paint scheme.

I posted this in another forum, but, I heard rumor that Texas Twister was pictured on a brochure for Great America for 2008. Not sure if there's any truth to it or not.

I don't see any of the flat rides coming to KI from GL. The only one worth riding has been rumored to being moved to Great America. I'm talking Texas Twister. According to a member I believe at Coasterbuzz, said they spotted a pic of TT on a brochure for GAM for 2008. Not sure if that's true or not. Oh, I did forget the Haybaler...that one may make its' way here. But, it wouldn't be a major addition.

I feel awful that GL is closing. I am really extremely disappointed that CF didn't try harder with this park. The new waterpark is cool and all, but it is not enough of a reason for me to drive 5 1/2 hours away. And now, someone said no new expansion for next year? Well, I guess I shouldn't be surprised considering 2 expansions in four years and one expansion scaled back. ClevelandRocks10, I feel for ya and it would devestate me if KI closed. Yeah, I think Cedar Point has better coasters, but KI is my home park and it would really depress me to see something happen like this to KI. Unfortunately, I only went to GL twice, last year and the year before. No, it wasn't crowded like the other two parks mentioned, but, I thought it was a great change of pace from the other parks. They had great coasters and the lines were pretty short. The employees were very friendly and the park was really clean. Of course, there were areas that needed fences mended or painting done, but name me one park that doesn't need paint somewhere.

I just find this all hilarious...some people really believing that Vortex is sinking. It started as a stupid rumor about Magnum XL200 at Cedar Point and now has evolved to a whole new park and attraction. Un-freakin'-believable....

I don't know why since I've been on SOB three times in a row without being hurt. Not re-rides, mind you. But what's the difference if it's only a 3 minute walk back around and re-boarding?

It does look like a neat coaster, but, I have to agree with the others about low capacity. KI doesn't need any more of those. I also like the idea of an inverted coaster named The Bat.

^You are correct interpreter. I couldn't care less what anyone calls them so long as someone knows what is being talked about. My new pet peeve is double negatives. They didn't use to bother me, but for some reason, now it sounds stupid to me. For example, someone here at the airport said, "Well, I guess we aren't going nowhere." Which means, if you're not going nowhere, then you must be going somewhere.

Very good question. I think I assumed the kid was tormenting him as it's not everyday that characters chase a kid down like that. That's the bad thing about these clips...it doesn't tell the whole story.

^I agree. We all need to keep our urine and feces in the toilets instead of in the floor. I would bet that at the right moment, you could find this kind of bathroom in any of the amusement park chains. I don't think it's indicative of any one particular chain. And, having worked the food industry, I've seen some pretty disgusting things that patrons can do.
