  1. What I mean to say is OTSRs and air time don't go together.
  2. Anything with air time shouldn't have OTSRs. I know or Maverick has them, but I don't like them on anything that emphasizes air time.
  3. I have a few questions for the Interpreter. 1. Is a potentially scathing review by you really noteworthy enough to warrant barring your entry to the park, (no offense)? 2. Do you think it could it be that you have just ticked them off with your criticism lately? 3. How do they know who you are? I'm sure they knew you were coming from your posts on here. 4. How are you involved in the amusement industry? Are you actively involved career-wise now or in the past? Do you know major players in the industry?
  4. Interpreter, are you hinting at the demise of Timberwolf? I think you've talked about it before fairly recently. Spirit Song is really all it has left.
  5. BB1 is also known as Detective Sergeant Joe Friday. "Just the facts ma'am.", ( I had to look that up. I'm not nearly that old).
  6. FACETIOUS1 : joking or jesting often inappropriately : waggish <just being facetious> 2 : meant to be humorous or funny : not serious <a facetious remark>
  7. ^ Clearly your account has been hacked by Big Sexy/YoungStud.
  8. Considering Kings Island has seven adult steel coasters and just two adult wooden coasters you've got to go wooden. As great as The Beast and The Racer are it's time for a modern wooden coaster. There is so much more that they can do these days than in 1979. Yes, 1979 let that sink in... ; the park's most recent existing wooden coaster is from the Carter administration. The most recent steel coaster is from last year.
  9. The original idea from an imaginary and romantic standpoint was genius. Throughout the late 19th and into the second half of the 20th century the World's Fair was the world's greatest event and stage. From around the world people witnessed the latest and greatest inventions from electric lights and Ferris Wheels to ice cream cones and television. From a business standpoint it was stupid and problematic. Much of the allure of the World's Fair was that it was an event that happened once in some years like the Olympics. If the Olympics constantly cycled who would care? Also this idea was behind the times. The world in the 1960-'70s was much different than 1908. The glory days of the World's Fair ended with the development of television and jet travel. A single showcase such as the World's Fair was unnecessary, the very idea quaint. Also, monetization proved to be a problem down the road. It is a great thing that Disney had business savvy people around him just as it was good for then to have a dreamer in Disney. Rarely can one person do both as these seem to be on polar ends of the spectrum. I wonder if Walt Disney were still alive what he would think of the company he started. I wonder if he would think like me that Disney has become too commercialized that they are resting on their laurels while raking in the cash. I find it hard to believe that he would support the abandonment of traditional animation and the generally lower quality of Disney animated feature films of late, (post "Disney Renaissance" of late '80s and '90s.). Sorry for that really long post, but I think it was all valuable.
  10. It should go back up. That sign is not in the way of the new Coke building.
  11. My vote would be the original eagles first. Second would be Cuddle Up.
  12. Ok, that makes sense. Maybe when the dinos go extinct we can have it back.
  13. That's true, but I'd doubt that fewer people would come to the park just because they'd rather not go through 1 or 2 more outdoor haunts. Must don't go at all on cold, rainy days.
  14. ^^ I share your sentiment. I'd like there to be more outdoor mazes. The old Psycho Path trail isn't being used right now. What happened to the old Curse of the Crypt area near The Racer way back when? I don't think that one is being used as a haunt anymore.
  15. Larson's are 8-tub. Maybe they could alleviate the problem by bringing in a second set of flyers. I know... how about a homesick 10-tub Bisch-Rocco model?
  16. Wouldn't it be great if they turned the Action FX building into a giant walk-through fun house?
  17. Tried this and it still took me to the mobile site. My fault, change your browser setting to desktop mode for this page and select the link.
  18. I figured out a convoluted solution. View this page in desktop view and click the link.
  19. Ideally you should feel unsafe, but at the same time be entirely safe.
  20. I've only seen it used on one piece of merchandise, a t-shirt which lists all the rides at Kings Island in its opening season.
  21. Thanks for the help goodyellowkorn. Don probably knows this. I hope he sees it.
  22. My question is was the lesser known promotional logo featured on a billboard advertising the upcoming Kings Island ever used. Maybe the first year or so? Anyone know? The logo is a much different script than the commonly seen medieval kind of script. It features a crown above the 'K'. I would post a picture I found, but I'm having trouble doing that. If someone else could I'd appreciate it!
  23. I'm not sure what you mean. I'd still be upset if KI closed then. Geauga Lake was one of the oldest, most storied parks in the country.
  24. For those of you who do not know, here is where the name almost certainly came from. I really like the name by the way.
