Land clearing in front of the park
I really like that concept! There could be a gate for the park near your pond for concert goers who buy a combo ticket. It also could be a neat place for winter shows and eats (Have a small indoor theater for live or electronic shows, a couple of eateries and maybe an indoor FEC or something)

Has the pathway to Timberwolf been built yet?

Land clearing in front of the park
Agreed, agreed and agreed! If there ever is front gate renovation, I hope it is considered as Phase II of the Interntional Street rehab. Restore the landscaped logo berm on the left. Remove the banners and put flags back up. Add trees and flowers. Replace the shingles with another material and maybe add some dormers to break up the long bare roofline. Update the buildings on the left to look international. Replace the blacktop behind the Eifel Tower. Add some blue spruce trees and flower beds around the tower. Replace pavers in Tower Gardens. Remove the Junkyard Coaster and renovate the entire area into a Parisian Promenade with a few small classic flat rides, curved walking paths, lush landscaping and statuary and an Arc Triumphe. Oh and for goodness sakes, restore the ornate gas lamps on IS, entry plaza and in Parisian Promenade.

Summer 2011 videos
^Thank you for sharing those, @KIfan73! Very enjoyable and yes, the park has changed quite a bit. My favorite thing with your editing was the comment: "A pond" LOL

The Beast Retrack Work Reviews
I did not notice any pothole(s) on my ride yesterday.

Phantom Theater Encore Reviews
I went yesterday. I never experienced PT. I was impressed, but agree, there is so much material it is hard to keep up (I feel the same way about the Fun, Fireworks and 50)--this is not a terrible problem to have! ) Sensory overload. I have a much better appreciation for the ride after experiencing the show (I use the word experiencing purposefully. It is so much more than seeing the show.) But what made me even more appreciative was seeing children get sooo into the production. I saw clapping, dancing and smiles galore. I also appreciated that the show harkened back to a day when things were not so "careful"...there were some things that I consider edgy...references to smoking, drinking and dates. But all appropriately presented.

Guest leaves dog in 110+ degree car to go to KI
So, kudos need to go to KI Security. They rescued the dog twice. The only thing I could see being done differently is calling Mason Police when s/he picked the dog up from first aid. If KI does not have a policy regarding this, the incident would be an opportunity to develop one. Not knowing, and not knowing Mason's policies, I think they did well. Now for the individual who is guilty of doing this, s/he should have the dog surrendered.

Ride Wait Times 2022 Season
I didn't hear that the park had been ill...

Kicked Out Of KI
So security caught up with him later and asked him to leave and he did without incident? I guess that's a win. But wow, the zombies following him around...

People Speculate Too Much
I guess needless speculation about "land clearing" dates back 20 years at least.

Land clearing in front of the park
While I am not Mason or Ohio construction specialist, I doubt that a permit is required for small areas that are undergoing general maintenance. This hardly qualifies as "land clearing." It looks like routine maintenace. If you remember, a couple of posters here were convinced about something happening to Timberwolf when there some tree removals. It turned out to be sprucing up the venue to prepare for the summer concert series. I doubt they had to get a permit to remove those trees.

Kentucky Kingdom to add October event
I have enjoyed KK since I went in 2015. I was excited when the rights to operate the park were sold to HFE. I've waited for some HFE "flavor" to come into the park, and besides the Bluegrass Bakery, the front facing look has not changed much. I'd specifically like to see more entertainment. Harlem Globetrotters and the dog show are great (although I miss the sea lion show), but I would be ecstatic if they copied and pasted other things from other HFE properties.

Season Pass Newbie Questions
1. Yes. Most places participate in the meal plan (except for outside vendors like food trucks, and any special event booths). The meals included are listed on the website, and on the menu board, there is an icon to indicate which meals are on the meal plan. 2. No, just choose your meal from the included meals. Show your pass at checkout-you can use the physical card, the app or a screen shot of the QR code from the app. 3. Just show them your pass and they will give you a cup. At the drink refill stations, it's easier. At the eateries, most clerks will ask if you want the drink. You do have to wait 15 minutes between refills. Please don't go get refills at the station in the middle/end of your meal without being scanned, like you would do at McDonald's. Unfortunately, you have to stand in line to be scanned and get a new cup. Funpix-I don't have it, but I'm fairly certain everyone can be included. Also, on ride photos can have multiple pictures added on the same pass. In other words, if your family is in three different photos, you can have them all added on the pass. Play and Save-I have no idea. Sorry!

Mattel park in The zone in Arizona
Water rights are very contentious west of the breadbasket. Lakes Powell and Mead are at historic lows right now, and the water from the Colorado River supplies water as far north as Idaho and as far south as Mexico. When I lived in Phoenix 15 years ago, there was a push to convert grass into xeriscape. But water still flowed like liquid gold. (I still miss my pool!). Many golf courses were making the switch to grey water and the use of it was being explored further. The golf course that my rental house backed up to used it. I'd venture a guess that some of the water in developments will be grey water.

Mattel park in The zone in Arizona
Glendale is suburb of Phoenix, and by locals, Phoenix is is considered more central Arizona. Ironically, Phoenix is hotter than Tuscon which is considered southern AZ. October-May will be golden for this park for outdoor attractions. It seems they have a good mix of indoor attractions as well. Interestingly, before Covid, there was a proposed huge entertainment complex in development for Casa Grande. This is between Phoenix and Tuscon. If that ever comes to fruition, it will be very interesting.

Actor Barry Williams “Greg Brady” to narrate Kings Island’s 50th Night Time Spectacular
Do you approve of this use of drones at KI?

Actor Barry Williams “Greg Brady” to narrate Kings Island’s 50th Night Time Spectacular
I haven't seen the show in person yet, but from the videos I have seen, it does seem to me that they are a huge part of the show. The classic logo and Snoopy scenes especially seem to evoke emotional responses in the audience (and me too).

The Geese of KI
I enjoy watching the gosslings, but not the adults. They make a mess, can be agressive, and overall just a pain. Hopefully, Aunt Rhody is nowhere near KI!

Haunt and WinterFest are important to KI, so I am pleased that fog and snow will be included.

Kings Island 2022 General Discussions
I think the park has never looked better in all the adult years I have been going as it does now. I love the miniature sunflowers they have put in. The new trees planted on the train route. The 50th flower logo by the carousel. The big potted plants. The grassy area in front of Adventure Express (as much as I hate the loss of the trees, it does look so much better now than before). I went on passholder preview day and was not fond of the "elevator music" on IS, but now it has grown on me. I saw people of varying ages moving to the music, subconsciously. Kudos to a job well done, KI!
