This is incredible! Thank you for sharing. The park was so beautiful back then...and with the recent improvements, it is again! It's very nice to see the beloved pedestals and know they have been put to good use in Area 72. This video helps me to see KI as I did as a kid. It looks so big.

My post was not directed at a marketing strategy, it was directed at people who seem to think that nothing is ever good enough.

Since the update, every time someone posts in a thread I have commented in, I get a notification. Before, I would only get notified if someone quoted me. Is there a way to change notification notifications?

Because that is a different park with people running it who decided what they deemed what was needed for their park. KI decided what was needed for their park. You do have a choice on which parks to visit.

If there is an opportunity to make money, it should be explored. Obviously, it worked for Carowinds in spite of Haunt teardown and Winterfest prep. I wouldn't be surprised to see more of these off season festivals pop up to extend revenue--maybe not at KI but at Cwinds, Schillerbahn etc. How cool would it be to have a December food tasting event at Breakers resort? Nothing but food, maybe movie night etc. I'd go from 6 hours away if I could get the time off! I'm kind of surprised they havent done this at KD, Cwinds, CWland, ValleyFair and Great America given the success at Knotts. (meaning, just a food festival in times of Covid).

We are not the judge and jury. We would like to see justice served, but unless charges are filed and the guilty parties (there are others who have been alleged to commit acts) face justice, we can only remain safe by being united. That's why this thread was a good idea and the information is key to protecting children from harm.

Wow, you put much thought into that. I'd like to know what you would do if you were given the following options: Action Theater shell, Kill Mart Shell, Crypt Shell and a temporary shell (think Carnivale Style tent with heaters and a floor and airlock entryway) in Action Zone---or the shell of the Blackout building. What would you do with these spaces desgined to be climate controlled? Time and budget are not an option, nor is COVID 19.

If they are not going to eject line jumpers, cell phone users on rides and smokers(up until 2020), I doubt they would eject trash throwers.

The only things I saw were outside the traditional park boundary, and that really wasn't clearing, it was earth moving. Somebody said that it might be for a parking lot, but I can't remember who or the validity.

I have no idea how their financial have done this year, but they certainly did seem to take advantage of every day they could open. Risky to offer a deal to "new" 2020 passholders that is only good for this year while others who bought before Memorial Day get 2021 included. But then they lowered the 2021 price by $10. Tey can be much more nimble that a park having a corporate structure.

I disagree. It's human grease. Sweat, oil, cosmetics, hair products etc (among other things).

Unfortunately, people are people and that's why we can't have nice things like a pond around The Beast.

Ideally, it would be at both positions. Similar to a hospital room--you sanitize before entering and before exiting. But the stations that I have experienced after riding are almost always empty.

Not that I am a fan of over regulating things, but I do wish the park would require hand hygiene before a ride. If the hand sanitizer station was at the separator position, it could be monitored closer--so many of the stations have been bone dry when I have visited. Check mask, check that hands have sanitizer in them and allow to pass. Riders could do the hand hygiene while waiting for the next train before the gates open.

And the question is finally answered. Infrastructure work. What did they say, sewer lines? Maybe it will take away the smell near Adventure Express...or maybe the awful smell of over excited enthusiasts who extrapolate things and think that only they are correct. Eggs on faces stink too.
