jcgoble3 Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 But don't forget that the park is only open on weekends, so they have four days and the better part of a fifth day during which they can do work that can't be done with guests in the park. Take a portion of the fence down Monday morning, work for four days, and put the fence back up on Friday afternoon before Haunt starts. 1
davidw Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 judging by how much steel they have staged, i think we should see quite a bit of activity tomorrow.

sheikra_rocks Posted October 9, 2013 Posted October 9, 2013 actually that does make since because one of the supports on the dive loop is right on the midway pretty much and if the fence is in the way it would have to be removed and then that would just be an invitation for people to walk right into the construction site, which im guessing is a big no no without permission. The fence will not be a problem. They seem to manage to thread track through those A frame supports without trouble. Plus the fence can probably be removed and replaced if need be. 2

thedevariouseffect Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Grr...why do you make us use terrible social media platforms...someone better upload these to a flickr or some normal site...last thing we need is instagram filter Banshee pics with hashtags xD 6
jcgoble3 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 You mean Instasuck? I mean that literally. You can apply any "filter" you want to your photo, and it will instantly suck. 3
TheBEASTunchained Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Light on.......At the top of Banshee tonight..... 4
Shawn Meyer Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 You mean Banshee will have one of those lights on top that tell aircraft where not to fly? 2
calakapepe Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 That looks like its a light shined upon Bashee's crest. Not a light shining from it.
TTD-120-420 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 You guys are going to complain about what site/social media Don posts pictures to? Really? It is just one more way to reach KI's audience and get people excited for the new ride. 10
Captain Nemo Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 As long as there are no filters, I don't have any issue with Instagram being used as a placeholder 'construction gallery'. I only have an issue with the twitter feed. It is always littered with pointless and repetitious updates and on the 2nd it gave the worst news of all, "The track on Banshee is not filled with sand". At least fill it up on the front half of the ride! Remember how loud IJST was when it first opened as it went into the helix? It could be heard all the way from the parking gates and everyone on this site complained about it. 2
thedevariouseffect Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Loud coasters....dunno why they're annoying...but people will stand right next to the scream like a Banshee speakers and screamers... Irony 3
myklhicks Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 there were people screaming past the threshold of pain. Banshee will most likely not be louder than that. especially since there are so many hotels and businesses near by. and isn't there a school near by? 3
calakapepe Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 I honestly doubt it's close enough to anything to be a huge noise problem. Maybe Great wolf lodge if you're sitting out on your balcony, but otherwise.. 1
thedevariouseffect Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Besides...you're near an amusement park..expect some noise..It's like people living next to an AFB with C-17's and temporarily had F-16's with F110 motor from GE complaining about noise... Just amusing.. 5
RailRider Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Once Banshee takes off in to the valleys I am not sure the noise will be much of an issue. 1
Adventuro Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 They are unloading track off a flatbed right now.
CoastersRZ Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Really? Looks more like supports to me and not track. 1
homestar92 Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 You mean Instasuck? I mean that literally. You can apply any "filter" you want to your photo, and it will instantly suck. Now Jonathan, I resent that. Surely you can't say that my most recent Instagram picture sucks! I think it captures the spirit of everything Instagram is about! (Interpret that statement however you wish) 4
IndyGuy4KI Posted October 10, 2013 Author Posted October 10, 2013 Once Banshee takes off in to the valleys I am not sure the noise will be much of an issue. I really hope it has that classic B & M roar like Raptor. That would just fit the name of the ride that much more! 6

But apparently most people find Mantis's sound annoying, so I'm probably a minority... 1
thedevariouseffect Posted October 10, 2013 Posted October 10, 2013 Nope right there with ya on mantis..The only time the roar on mantis is annoying is when you're trying to take a nap on break in the jungle below it lol 2

Really hope that Banshee sounds the same.
