When I went to Kings Island I rode flight deck and let me tell you it was a great ride, I loved how you took sharp turns. And these are the only type of coasters that are left. Which one of the two coasters is do you prefer?

I voted for Flight Deck but I have so many amazing memories on Iron Dragon. The one thing that Iron Dragon has on Flight Deck is length. It's a much longer ride but that doesn't mean its better.

Me gusta Flight Deck más que Iron Dragon.

I don't speak Spanish.

No queso espanol todo.

(I know ^^)

Iron Dragon looks more exciting in pov videos than it was in person..

I thought the opposite!

I like both so I'm not gonna vote (I would if "both" was an option). Iron Dragon is one of those rides I grew up with and it will always hold that special spot with me. I could ride it all day no problem xp but I do love Flight Deck's speed though.

Every time I ride Iron Dragon I am surprised at how slow it is. I absolutely love Flight Deck I have rode it 16x now this year and probably 50 or so in the last 4 years. So Iron Dragon was one of the coasters I looked forward to the most when I made my first trip ever to Cedar Point this spring. I have rode it 3x in 5 trips.

Also there was a thread on Pointbuzz about which coaster would be better to start a person on Iron Dragon or Blue Streak, I chose Iron Dragon..lol

Iron dragon by far, the helix over the water is outstanding. Plus it has what flight deck is missing and thats a second lift hill.

Says the man who claims he gets bored on B & M forceless coasters....Ironic?

I like them both equally. I enjoy Flight Deck only in the front seat though, although will ride it anywhere. Iron Dragon is good in the front or back and as someone else mentioned, the helix over the water is great!

Flight Deck by far. Perhaps I am a little biased, too. I grew up riding Flight Deck (Top Gun) since it opened and it was my favorite when I was younger. Now I have a 5 year old and Flight Deck is his favorite. However, I believe when he gets to ride Iron Dragon (hopefully) next year he will like that one equally as well.

I'm with most of you, I prefer Flight Deck over Iron Dragon, but honestly I love them both for different reasons. I love them both as we all already know, its a dying breed of coaster so I appreciate when I get a chance to ride one regardless of the speed, swings and layout. Like most of you, I love Flight Deck for the speed, the swinging and overall pacing of the ride. I know we all wish it was a bit longer and it has so much power and force left in it when it slams into the brakes at the end, but for what it is, when it hits those brakes I never hear anyone say anything negative other than they wish it were longer. Why? Because it looks tamer that what it actually is. I can't tell you how many times I've heard people say "wow that was a lot more intense than I expected!" or something along those lines. Intense in a good way of course. Not scary, but packs a punch for what it is. Also I appreciate Flight Deck because it is historical as the last Arrow Suspended ever installed. Its a nice farewell to an era of the swinging suspended coaster.

Iron Dragon, as we all know, is older and slower, but I believe it still gives a nice ride. I feel like its a nice relaxing ride to hop on after spending most of the day on all the bigger coasters and it always has a full train. People enjoy it. You get a nice little ride through the trees, a nice peek at TTD and yes, the finale over the lagoon is very fun. I also gotta say I love the name of the ride and the colors. It just pops. I hope this one does stick around longer as it is one of the few chill coasters Cedar Point has and its also one of the few that is great for families with smaller children to enjoy together and a great starter coaster for beginners.

I will say the last trip I had to Cedar Point back on the 13th-15th I had a nice pre-evening ride on the Iron Dragon in the very last car and it offered a great little bump of airtime on the first drop. I was actually slightly surprised by that lol

PS: I wish I had the chance to ride BBW. I don't know anyone who got the chance to ride it to ever say anything bad about that ride and I am sad that its gone. I always thought it looked like a lot of fun and just by the way everyone described it, it really was one of the best suspended coasters ever made.

No hablo espanol?
I think you meant "¿No hablas español?" You incorrectly conjugated the verb hablar in the yo form, making "I don't speak Spanish."

So yea. There's your Spanish lesson of the day.

Flight Deck or Iron Dragon...?

Well....

I'd have to say that I wouldn't mind if The Big Bad Wolf came and blew Iron Dragon down.....

But...That is only if the Gardens behind the Busch would have left the Wolf alone...

My biased is based on Top Gun aka Flight Deck and rode opening day and been riding since. I rode Iron Dragon this year for the first time and have to say it was a slow ride, waiting for some fast twist or turns like flight deck but never happened. the only thing it saved me was the helix over the lake which is a nice touch.

I vote for Flight Deck, without hesitation. I knew Iron Dragon wouldn't be as intense when my family visited 2 summers ago, but "not as intense" is an understatement. Haha I was glad for the credit, but it was nothing special. It was pretty slow. Since I love flight deck, I look forward to some day visiting Canada's Wonderland for Vortex (and the other rides, of course).
