Cedar Point to Remove Witches' Wheel

I think I am more curious as to what is next then lets cry about losing a ride I have never been on lol

I have a thought, hear me out on this one. What if it WAS to be relocated to Kings Island in someway. One thing to remember is that Cedar Fair did go oversea's and purchased flat rides that where not open anymore from parks (what does that have anything to do with this you ask? just wait). Those rides where sent to a shop/place and where completely refurbished. If i do recall, Boomerang was sent to the same shop. What if they are removing it early so they can send it to that shop, get it completely refurbished and then add it to another park. That's just my thoughts on it. I do hope CP decides to replace WW with a Zamperla Endeavour. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Kentucky Kingdom made the right move when they replaced Enterprise with Scream Extreme!

You are all wrong. There are only two possibilities: 1. An arcade will be located there. 2. RMC Steel Witch.

I'm thinking in another direction. Hoping for a pancake or waffle house. A place that serves breakfast all day on the midway and I would not be disappointed. Now I know they have Perkins but this would gives guests another option especially those not staying at the Breakers.

To quote the mechanics that worked on Enterprise “I hope they rip the thing out, it’s a huge pain in the *** to work on and the parts take forever to get here”.

I don’t ever recall a day I’m at the park and it not working. I love seeing that thing spin and go up. I just don’t recall ever seeing it not working. That makes me believe it’s clearing for 2020.

Oh it will always work.  Getting it up and running in the morning however... the parts reference was for something with the E-Stop.  It would still run fine in 2014, but if you pressed the E-Stop all the hydraulic pressure would escape too fast and the arm basically fell over.

One day advance warning of announcement with zero hype prior to today? Better start expecting one of the bigger announcements in park history. :P

@King Ding Dong beat me to the punch!

I wonder if its just general updating or if we will see Wicked Twister being removed( I hope not).  I know whatever they do it will be in prep for 2020!!

Don’t get your hopes up. They’re updating CCMR. 2nd coaster represented by #2 pencil.

Source on that being a #2 pencil? :P

It was a Ticonderoga standard, which is a #2 pencil.

I actually think its going to just be general updates to the park. Maybe even removing other small attractions to make way for the 2020 install!

given that it isn't a large area I'm hoping that there is a new flat or two going in it's place and not a food stand or arcade. Could be a nice extension of the Gemini Midway. Maybe a G2 Enterprise at least and maybe a second flat if they can.

The ride is mostly disassembled, and 7 trees in the area have been removed.

How would that attraction use WW's old space?

Maybe they would put in a gift shop or something.
