rkadejoe
They have rethemed Back Lot to a Cincinnati theme which ties into Coney. Vortex replacement should be a Wing coaster called the Flying Pig. It would have white wings and a pig head at the front of each train. The trains/pigs could have Cincinnati related names. Maybe put a replica of the Fountain Square fountain near by with pigs as the figures.

Losantiville Mining Co.
Two Cincinnati themed coasters in one park? That would be like putting two hyper coasters in one park! (just kidding! Orion is a giga coaster)

BlondyRidesOn
I know Kings Island is technically in Greater Cincinnati, but Dayton is not too far away. Dayton is the birthplace of aviation. Up at Carillon Park in Dayton, there's an exhibition about the Wright brothers; they even have the Wright Flyer on display. Why not an aviation themed area (I know Aeronautica Landing at Carowinds is kinda that)? They could tap further into Southwest Ohio's history and heritage with that kind of attraction.

Isn't Area 72 sorta that? The whole backstory of Area 72 is it is a secret research facility studying flight.

I think they were referring to an area themed around traditional flight, as opposed to the more "science fiction" theme with Area 72.

In that case, I feel like if KI isn't going to go with a Haunted theme for Action Zone, then flight theme it is, but I would hate to see Banshee rethemed. Maybe they could try and fit Banshee's mythological flying ghost theme into an aviation themed area.

Maybe they could try and fit Banshee's mythological flying ghost theme into an aviation themed area. Granted they probably would not want to do this, but they could split the former Action Zone in half and eliminate the center seating area, annexing Delirium, Banshee and The Bat (If it sticks around) into Oktoberfest or even Adventure Port. Then the West side of Action Zone can be reimagined into a new themed area. I didn't add any new coasters, just drew the seperating lines between the areas to showcase the possibility of a split. Now granted, as I mentioned, it would mean the total removal of the shaded seating area, so there will need to be a way to remedy that loss. Perhaps more tables with umbrellas like on International Street. It is a bit tricky especially considering how well established Banshee is as a Kings Island coaster and not wanting to retheme it. BeeastFarmer
A few thoughts: splitting it could make a lot of sense if they got rid of TimberWolf. There's a ton of concrete that exists, so an aeronautic theme could be pulled off. The other side, as you mentioned, would be great as an Oktoberfest expansion, a haunted area, or a reintroduction of Adventure Village. That would tie in well with Adventure Port. Or, they could make the entire area Adventure Village again, similar to JungleX, with a multiple year phase in. Some are calling for this to be a DC Universe land as well. 1
rlentless
To me Oktoberfest is so non-existent now, just make it part of Adventure Port. For Action Zone and getting a wing coaster . . I don't know, the aviation theme just is not grabbing me. Not saying it won't work but look to other park sections theming and see what are some fan favorites. I am not talking about cookie cutter attractions. I hate to say it but if KI does not do it around the kids area, Six Flags may want this to be DC Comics area. That was tough to say!!
