If a Screamin' Swing goes anywhere, as already previously discussed, I think the best placement would be in the former Xtreme Skyflyer plot. That seems like the best use of that space if such a ride were to make its way to KI. I highly doubt KI will get a Screamin' Swing though. I don't feel like there is a wide installation of those.

If Invertigo ends up Invertigone ( sorry not sorry for the puns ), they better put something worthy in it's place. I will repeat, even if the ride isn't as popular as it once may have been, no one can deny the intensity factor. It is one of the very few truly intense rides left in the park that doesn't apologize for being so. If something much tamer took its place I would be really disappointed.

I rode the new one at Hershey this year. Being up on that hill is so fun to ride. I would love to get a screamin' swing at KI.

As Kings Island reopens for the Halloween season, it seems Invertigo is still closed for maintenance. Considering what's been happening throughout the Six Flags chain, I would be surprised if the ride somehow reopens after all of this.

Something new I noticed last night is that they have now turned off the uplighting and lift hill lights. It all but disappears from the park at night.

Could be maybe that they don't want to "highlight" it and have people wondering about it while its down and out for the count. Maybe I am just being too optimistic. Really hoping it gets at least one or two more seasons and that they will do the full repair when the park is closed for the off season.

I'm hoping one of the reasons for moving Cornered's maze layout is so they can have space to work on Invertigo as they need. I think it may be out of the running to reopen before November (just like Monster), but maybe work can be completed during the off-season?

Just saw this on Coaster101’s instagram. There has been no announcement or any official confirmation but the future of Invertigo doesn’t look promising.

Or they don't feel the part will be here this season and took the train off to get a jump start on maintenance...which any little bit they can get started on helps...

I believe they needed to remove those rails to get the trains off. However, I'm not sure how I feel about that rail being bent like that.

If I remember right, that section of rail is slightly thicker and so when the portion of track is attached, the track is more straight. I assume it's angled down so its easier to slide each train car off the track

Those specific portions of rail were indeed designed to be removed and are currently (as of last week) sitting near the station. There is also a section of the exit ramp that has been removed to allow movement around the station. I suspect some of the work is happening in the maintenance building(s) and other areas of the project might just be waiting for the new parts to arrive.
