DJSkyFoxx Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 If a Screamin' Swing goes anywhere, as already previously discussed, I think the best placement would be in the former Xtreme Skyflyer plot. That seems like the best use of that space if such a ride were to make its way to KI. I highly doubt KI will get a Screamin' Swing though. I don't feel like there is a wide installation of those. If Invertigo ends up Invertigone ( sorry not sorry for the puns ), they better put something worthy in it's place. I will repeat, even if the ride isn't as popular as it once may have been, no one can deny the intensity factor. It is one of the very few truly intense rides left in the park that doesn't apologize for being so. If something much tamer took its place I would be really disappointed. 4

I rode the new one at Hershey this year. Being up on that hill is so fun to ride. I would love to get a screamin' swing at KI. 7
WoodVengeance Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 As Kings Island reopens for the Halloween season, it seems Invertigo is still closed for maintenance. Considering what's been happening throughout the Six Flags chain, I would be surprised if the ride somehow reopens after all of this. 1
TheCrypt Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Something new I noticed last night is that they have now turned off the uplighting and lift hill lights. It all but disappears from the park at night. 2

Maybe I am just being too optimistic. Really hoping it gets at least one or two more seasons and that they will do the full repair when the park is closed for the off season. 3
Losantiville Mining Co. Posted September 22, 2025 Author Posted September 22, 2025 I'm hoping one of the reasons for moving Cornered's maze layout is so they can have space to work on Invertigo as they need. I think it may be out of the running to reopen before November (just like Monster), but maybe work can be completed during the off-season? 1

VioletCoronet50 Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Just saw this on Coaster101’s instagram. There has been no announcement or any official confirmation but the future of Invertigo doesn’t look promising. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
disco2000 Posted October 12, 2025 Posted October 12, 2025 Or they don't feel the part will be here this season and took the train off to get a jump start on maintenance...which any little bit they can get started on helps... 2
WoodVengeance Posted October 13, 2025 Posted October 13, 2025 I believe they needed to remove those rails to get the trains off. However, I'm not sure how I feel about that rail being bent like that. 1

If I remember right, that section of rail is slightly thicker and so when the portion of track is attached, the track is more straight. I assume it's angled down so its easier to slide each train car off the track 1
Losantiville Mining Co. Posted October 14, 2025 Author Posted October 14, 2025 Those specific portions of rail were indeed designed to be removed and are currently (as of last week) sitting near the station. There is also a section of the exit ramp that has been removed to allow movement around the station. I suspect some of the work is happening in the maintenance building(s) and other areas of the project might just be waiting for the new parts to arrive. 2
TheCrypt Posted February 21 Posted February 21 The cables are still drooping from Invertigo's first lift hill. I know there is still time before the beginning of the season but I really hoped that there would've been some sort of visible progress on it by now.
Losantiville Mining Co. Posted February 21 Author Posted February 21 What are those cables specifically used for? I figured those might stay down until the park is closer to starting pre-season testing since they seemed to be down before work started on the lift chain.
PKIDelirium Posted February 22 Posted February 22 I think they pull the catchcar, if they're not finished with the chain work, they're probably going to be that way until that's completed to keep them out of the way. 2
WoodVengeance Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM Posted yesterday at 07:18 PM I doubt this would ever happen, but if Kings Island doesn't plan on removing Invertigo anytime soon, would it be possible they could order a new train from Vekoma? It would be similar to how some parks have bought new trains for their SLCs, though obviously it would have to be modified to be able to work with a Vekoma Invertigo model. The park could also tie this in with a retheme to Screamin' Demon to pay homage to that former attraction, which also went forwards and backwards. 5
Losantiville Mining Co. Posted 3 hours ago Author Posted 3 hours ago If Invertigo did get a retheme and new trains would you like to see the loop and/or lift hills painted with the red/orange/yellow color scheme while the rest becomes shades of black and gray? That would make it like The Bat in terms of how it got rethemed, but I'd love to see it. On another note: if Vekoma was crazy enough to design/make a new version of the Inverted Boomerang and/or the Giant Inverted Boomerang, would you want to see one come to Kings Island? Assuming this would be some time after Invertigo was removed. We've seen this with the new generations of the Tilt Coaster and the Flying Coaster, so I think it's more likely than S&S bringing back the 4D Coaster model.

We've seen this with the new generations of the Tilt Coaster and the Flying Coaster, so I think it's more likely than S&S bringing back the 4D Coaster model. It would only be a single new train since it's still an inverted boomerang that can only run with one. I think it would be a cool touch if they did those colors for the top of the lift hills, vertical loop and the cobra roll. Depending on the budget, I think on-board audio like what's on Siren's Curse would also help add some nice theming to the attraction that you don't really have with the other coasters in the park. I don't think it's that unlikely Vekoma would bring back an inverted boomerang, considering they developed a new boomerang model like what you have with Flash at Six Flags Great Adventure. Whether or not Vekoma builds something like that depends on the demand for a new inverted boomerang model.
