Banshee's ride time is listed at 2:40, while Flight Deck's is listed at 1:30. That is pretty different!7 points

I can't wait to see how big the first loop is going to be. BeastForever, who prefers drawn out inversions particularly on inverts as opposed to blacking out on every inversion.5 points

Joe Rohde? He's one of the eccentric and creative types out there. He's "the face" of Disney's Animal Kingdom - an avid world traveler and artist first, and an Imagineer second, pulsing elements of his creativity and travel into the park. In other words, he's a free spirit. And yeah, those who initially supported Pandora did so almost entirely on the basis that the film is - unadjusted for inflation - the highest earning film ever. The simple rebuttal is that Avatar was the first modern, wide-release 3D movie to really rely on 3D to sell itself. So yes, lots of people saw the movie (and for the first time ever, MOST paid the extra $4 - 10 for the 3D version) and enjoyed the visuals, but it's not exactly gone down in time as a classic. The fun thing is to ask, "What was the main character's name?" Most don't know. So yes, it was a visual spectacle and an overnight sensation that captivated people into seeing it, but does it deserve a massive, permanent land in a Disney Park? The hope would be that the sequels (officially THREE right now) cause just as much stir and earn just as much... Hmm... But to be fair, Cars wasn't exactly Disney or Pixar's most well-loved film, but the opening of Cars Land certainly silenced the folks who had been appalled by the idea of it.4 points

Last night, I had a dream that I rode Beast, and after the final helix, the ride launched me out of my seat and I landed near Flight Deck, which had a brand-new q-line that was patriotic colored and themed. However, upon trying to ride Flight Deck, I kept falling down the entrance ramp (Flight Deck has an entrance ramp? Only in my dreams) because it was slippery. And I realized a while ago...wow, Beast launched me over to Flight Deck? WOW...that's quite the launch.3 points

Growing up Cincinnati was all about chili and sports. Since I have moved away from the area Cincinnati now is "ALMOST HOME!" Nothing like passing "Florence Ya'll" knowing that the awesome city skyline will fill your view coming through the cut in the hill. (When I lived in Colorado.. it was exciting to see the Cincinnati/Dayton signs).3 points

The wife and I have seen two skunks this year as well - one walking up to AE and the other outside the cavern of terror a few weeks ago. But the best encounter so far was two Fridays ago about 12:30 while getting in line for The Beast. Just above the vending machine at the end as you turn right up towards the ramp - a raccoon stuck his head and paw out just above our heads. I walked back to tell the girl at the entrance and she said "yeah I keep telling them he comes out here at night but I don't think they've ever tried to catch him" We are used to being around wild animals(originally from WV so that's just the norm) but if I had been about 8 inches taller it probably would have ended differently- they definitely aren't as cute and cuddly as they look. Moral of the story is watch the clearance next time you get thirsty in line for The Beast3 points

Top Gun was painted it's currently color at the end of 1998 season to debut with the all new Paramount Action Zone in 1999. King Cobra was also repainted at the same time!2 points

I'm from Indy so I'm surprised no one has said LaRosa's or Jungle Jim's. Two things I think of when I think of Cincy.2 points

Being a pro football fan who learns not to get too excited when the home team is ahead by more than a touchdown, even during the final 2 minutes; Being a pro baseball, well, watcher who has felt the exhileration of watching the home team win the World Series more than once in his long lifetime; The number 4,192 - Don't care if Pete Rose is banned for life; that's a memory that I choose to cherish; Bob Shreve's Past Prime Playhouse, which remains in the hearts of many a Cincinnatian; The Garfield Suites Hotel, and its world-class amusement park creating general manager, Gary; and... ^Flight Deck. A Abbreviation breakdown! DB = Diamondback SD = SurfDog ( do people use this one?) FAAC = Flying Ace Ariel Chase DT = Drop Tower CF = Congo Falls TA = (old) Thunder Alley FH = Firehawk FoF = Flight of Fear AE = Adventure Express SS = Sling Shot VF = Viking Fury WS = WindSeeker ET = Eiffel Tower WS(E) = Wood Stock Express Some of them aren't really used, and some of them I don't have but that might help.2 points

Growing up I had a friend who had a pair of pet skunks, offensive glands removed of course. They were both very friendly, and loved to be held. Now these skunks came from a pretty long line of bred in captivity ancestors, could make a difference. Also both were female, could have something to do with it as well.2 points

When I think Cincinnati, I think of the zoo and the city skyline (not Skyline Chili, but how the city skyline looks from afar). Although I'm not much of a sports fan, the Reds and the Bengals are both Cincinnati traditions that also come to mind when I think of the city.2 points

Yes, that is one huge waste of paint, and money, which we all love money. What's a waste of money and what's not isn't for anywhere on here to decide... that's decided in Sandusky. And just to point out - Vortex recieved a full paint job a few years before 2009 and for the 2009 season only had its rails painted, not the entire ride.2 points

The answer is in the TOS. And never, ever ask a philosopher like Terp an open ended question like "Why?" I'm told that was my first intelligent word on this orb. It might well also be my last. I could go on for pages with an answer to "Why?" Especially tonight.2 points

The closest I've been to a skunk was when I worked at the park in 2005. A family of skunks took up residence under the track at what is now Peanuts 500. After they decided to come out of their burrow one night while the park was open, a trapper was brought in and they were moved to the woods. Sent from my Samsung Galaxy S3 using Tapatalk 42 points

I have given names to the various critters that come into the kennel to feed from the corn that we placed for Donald, Huey, Dewy and Louie to eat. There is Rocky the squirrel, Alvin the chipmunk, and the Yardbirds that roost on the rafters to swoop down to feast on the corn. They are all feasting off of the corn and after the end of October, they will have to go elsewhere. We used to sell dog and cat food that were stored in a plastic tub. But after the close of our season 4 years ago, all that food was left in the office all through the winter and come April, it was a mess. It seems that Micky and Mini were feasting on all that manna from heaven and went forth and multiplied and all those little Micky and Mini's feasted and also multiplied. They bred like rabbits, which was the only critter we didn't see. I guess Bugs was into carrots and not dog or cat food.2 points

Why do you think that? Today is only Tuesday! The lift hill is one of the most complicated sections of the ride. It take a lot longer to put together than other sections of the ride. The park is open another two weekends. They were working last Friday well past 5pm and could be heard hammering on something until close to 7pm.2 points
