  1. It's paid off, and an up charge attraction. As long as nothing large comes up maintenance wise, and as long as nothing is planned to take its spot currently, I don't see it going anywhere. My family from out of town always rides it when visiting KI, and it definitely seems to get enough traffic to pay for the employees running the attraction as well. I would say it still scares me the most out of any attraction at KI. The initial free fall feeling sensation when you pull the cord is unlike anything else.

  2. I'm actually surprised that Xtreme Skyflyer is still at Kings Island ever since the Slingshot was removed, which gets me thinking about how popular Xtreme Skyflyer actually is and how much longer do you think it will last at Kings Island? In my opinion I think it would be next on the removal list but what do all of you think?

  3. I still haven't tried it out but I do know you can fit up to 3 people. Still unsure if I'll try it or not.

  4. Could you imagine if WB/Paramount merge and then purchase CF/SIX after merger...

  5. I'm actually looking forward to the new app. If it means I can quite literally go to the park without having to bring my wallet in for anything, that's great. Makes it a lot less stressful for me.

  7. Great article out of CP Food Blog. He’s writing about CP, but I imagine the story will be relevant to Kings Island too. https://cpfoodblog.com/2024-modification-to-pass-perks/?fbclid=IwAR0wn0ViPBiGoOgDapQHjICwFBoLMu00tvmUsZP8-CROHnaiqPQD9AhEF4A_aem_AZF_SRQO2gRGReQrjNrN8UJkmawSzR-mcw7mQnV1dpv79GdAELzakaaJutOqFn-3fgQ

  10. Who Remembers The former Nickelodeon Store on International Street from the late 90s to early to mid 2000s? Not many people remember this but I do, I found this on a CoasterBob62 YouTube video. My question is who remembers this store and does anybody have any pictures of this store on the inside? Thank you!

  12. What is interesting is that Sea World Entertainment is renaming themselves to United Parks and Resorts. One can`t help but wonder what would happen if they merged with the Six Flags/Cedar Fair? Again the economics might not work out, and there are a few markets where they have some overlap (Texas and Virginia), but Sea World was interested in Cedar Fair before.

  14. Keep in mind the IP the SIX has is very limited in nature and not their entire portfolio. Another issue is the always seem to be rumor that Paramount is looking to get back into the park business. Who knows maybe a merger between WB/Paramount and they decide to make a run again and do not renew their IP with SIX when it expires.

  16. I got the same message as well. Cedar Point released theirs the Friday after I got the message about a new app so we might see it release tomorrow.

  17. If you look closely at the large window there, they always had a spare horse or two from the carousel on display. I remember my grandparents and I walking past that on our way out of KI every time we visited.

  19. Look. I am all for ethical treatment of animals and ensuring their well being and safety. But PETA is a joke. No one takes them seriously and haven't for far too long because of asinine stuff like this. Riding a carousel animal does not equate "bad" treatment of actual real live animals. I have been riding actual real live horses for basically my entire life at this point. Owned many and trained many. PETA would hate me for that. But if anyone who has spent the significant amount of time with real live horses the way I have, most of them actually ENJOY work and having a rider. It's a bonding activity and it gives them enrichment. Certain breeds, for goodness sakes, were specially bred to do a job. And believe me, a horse WILL tell you when they've had enough of something or they are unhappy. An ethical rider/owner will know this and take note. I was riding real horses long before I was riding carousels. So PETA, do the math. Oh, that's right, that would require them to actually use logic!

  21. I made an area concept for a Kings Island version of the DC Universe Land that’s at several Six Flags parks. I made a majority of the concepts rethemed attractions (Mostly because I don’t really want a huge IP-based land in the park and I was too lazy to go through the effort.) Banshee- Blue Beetle Congo Falls- Swamp Thing’s Plunge Delirium- Starro Invertigo- Reverse Flash The Bat- The Batman In Xtreme Skyflyer’s Section I put ‘Battle For Gotham: DC Heroes Collide’, which would be a mix of the DC shooter ride that’s at Six Flags parks already and the Spider-Man Ride at Islands of Adventure. I made a basic ride layout for this since it would be the only attraction I’d be excited for if it was added to the park.
