  1. USA Today released its list of the 2024 most anticipated new roller coasters. Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers is not one of them. STORY: https://shorturl.at/cjpG0

  2. don’t know of anyone that also purchased an on ride photo. This was my first time riding it in 2002. Anyone else here ever bought a photo?

  5. You compared SSBR's track length to Good Gravy's total ride length (factoring that it traverses the layout twice since it's a boomerang). If you look at SSBR on Kings Island's website, it says it traverses around 1400ft of track. Granted SSBR is still shorter, it's only a difference of about 100ft or so of track.

  6. Where has been the buildup from the park about SSBR? The focus has been Camp Snoopy as a whole and oh BTW, there is a coaster as well. The story should have been a new coaster in the new Camp Snoopy. Not the other way around.

  7. We'll have to see if @malemcan do that for when the site goes down, but with no server to deliver content I don't see that happening. As far as the tab favicon, I have almost done the same thing multiple times just this week.

  9. It would have worked very well if it was just a transport attraction. Taking a nice trip from Camp Snoopy to Frontier Town is what we need.

  10. I always loved riding WindSeeker during the fireworks, which has been one of my fondest memories especially when Vortex was still here. I like the drones and lasers, but dearly miss these fireworks rides and subsequently feel slightly conflicted when watching the show. Honestly, I hope the drones and lasers eventually get phased out so the WindSeeker fireworks rides can return.

  11. I got to ride it when it first opened. Actually went on my lunch hour with a co-worker. I really had no idea what type of ride it was and went totally uninformed. It was amazing and I was blown away. My favorite part was being hung upside down to the lava pit . . I could feel the water hitting my face. The only other time I was that amazed at KI was my first time riding "The Beast", but you gotta know I was 12 when it opened. The other ride that comes to mind is seeing "The Outer Limits: Flight of Fear" being launched for my first time. You could hear everyone in line just say 'wow'. Remember it was a new experience back then. Honestly, I do not think Disney or Universal could have done a better job.

  14. Thunder Striker sounds like a crappy 80's hair band that never quite made it anywhere As for i305, it'll be interesting to see what kind of name they change it to. If it rolls into the jungle theme-"JuNgLe StRiKeR".....sarcasm of course...orr...

  15. Seen what? Your photo shows when the train valleyed between the loop and cobra roll, so a crane was utilized to bring the train back to Lift 2. This is not common at all and actually might have been the only time the ride had this scenario occur.

  16. And I am in the minority here, but I hope she has some years left in her to stick around awhile longer. Especially with being the last one of its kind in the states. It is one of the more intense ride experiences at the park and personally, I feel, one of the better older Vekomas still operating.

  17. The one at Kings Island is the last one in North America, and the only one still in its original location.

  18. Not sure if it matters if it’s ready. Vekoma has announced repeatedly that Good Gravy would open first, they used cars from the train as part of their display at IAAPA back in November. Where they again announced it would open first. Something has the manufacturer convinced, it will be first, even with Kings Island opening for the season first. I suspect Vekoma built a no earlier than date into the contract. Basically Soap Box Racers cannot open for media or guests before X date. The ride might be cycling, completely ready, and still not be allowed to open.
