  1. I think it's funny how the park keeps trying to cater to families but all my family members and friends haven't been pass holders since 2022. Some of them are actually getting excited about the park again with the potential of a phantom return
  2. I say they should get M&Ms to sponsor the monster and then paint the pods all different colors like M&M candies and call it the M&M Monster!
  3. We were leaning towards not ruining our passes until we saw these teasers. While Boo Blasters was our kids faviorte I hoping they will quicky forget about it with this. Kings Island please please dont mess this up!
  4. Apparently you can now rent hourly lockers at KI from the comfort of your phone. Signs popped up at all the locker stations with a QR code that you can scan to rent a locker at that location. Unfortunately it doesn't appear that you can rent the multi-ride locker from the mobile site, though t does appear that once you've rented one you can use that QR code to move it to that location.
  5. Made a final trip to WDW with my 2024-2025 Incredi-pass before it expires. I started my trip at Animal Kingdom. Being that it was my last trip for a while i decided to splurge and purchase the Lightning lane multi pass. For $19 I highly recommend anyone who visits WDW to purchase the LL multi pass. With the LL multi-pass I was able to ride every attraction open at Animal Kingdom. $19 might get you a single fast pass ticket at Kings Island. With the additional time to spare. I was able to sit down at Nomad’s lounge for a quick bite and a drink. The food was excellent and the drinks are poured heavy, as expected at Disney. From Animal Kingdom I got back to my car and made my way to Disney Hollywood studios. The beauty about the LL Multi Pass is that it’s good for any park that day. So I was able to ride pretty much everything with the exception being Alien Swirling Saucers during my visit to Disney’s Hollywood Studios because I opted for a second ride on Slinky Dog which I finished the night on. Day two in Orlando I spent the first half of the day at Magic Kingdom. Due to a ticketed event they had that evening the park had an early closing time. The benefit of that however was the crowd was light compared to a normal day at the park so I ended up not purchasing a LL multi pass. I got a lot of rides in at Magic Kingdom then proceeded to park hop back to Disney’s Hollywood Studios to finish the night. Day three in Orlando I spent the entire day at Epcot. It was at Epcot that I have noticed some budget cuts made by Mickey Mouse. Normally there are two people working the Lightning lane lines. Other than their most popular attractions, they were only using one cast member. Also on some of the rides the animatronics were not all completely working. For example an arm not working or a mouth. The worst was the day before while riding Tianna’s So many issues, with the animatronics and screens not working, I was surprised it was even allowed to be opened at all. Although some budget cuts were apparent, (Slow time of the year likely?) The customer service was top notch as always. I experienced a rollback on the second hill of Guardians of the Galaxy earlier that day and was granted a single use lightning lane ticket for the ride. Being that I had a reservation at the GEO lounge, I was not going to be able to use my single use LL ticket. Guest relations granted me a ticket to be used the following day. My final day in Orlando, I started at Epcot again. And again, I purchased the LL multi pass for $19. I rode everything and had time to grab a drink and some food at the Space 220 lounge. From there I hoped on the monorail and made my way to Magic Kingdom to finish the night and the trip altogether. Bad weather was on the forecast for the evening so I assumed the crowd would disperse when the bad weather hit, because as you know. It’s a sticking point for Six Flags during their quarterly meetings every time they don't perform well. The hard rain and lightning came, but the crowd didn’t waiver. Instead, Disney was all but prepared for bad weather. There were plenty of indoor attractions to choose from. With lines stretching outside its indoor queue, with wait times over an hour. For the folks who had purchased Lightning lanes were given “Wildcard” LL single use tickets that were available to use for a wide selection of rides Disney deemed comparable with the LL ticket that was affected. And it was done preemptively without me ever having to make contact with someone from guest relations. The bad weather lasted a few hours and eventually went away. I finally got a night ride on Tron. I finished my night at Magic Kingdom by purchasing the popcorn mix from the Main Street Confectionary. It is essentially a chipotle for popcorn lovers. With a variety of options of popcorn and toppings. The line was quite long, I probably waited about 20mins to get mine. I wish this was something that was an option and KI. MY girlfriend and I get one every visit we have made to Magic Kingdom. All in all, I had a great trip. IMG_5988.mov IMG_6029.mov
  6. I uh.. surely hope there's something for me.. i wonderr what happened *cough*
  7. No sense in using AI if you have original artwork designed already. Given the pin sets using the original performer posters, I’d assume they’d have the ability to use them within the new ride…. Should it be coming back.
  8. Hope not either. There are so many things wrong with things generated with AI slop. For starters, it’s highly disrespectful to the literal thousands of years of human creativity. It’s a slap in the face for just about every artist who has ever lived. Ai slop is also the worst example of plagiarism out there. Not to mention how much water it makes dirty and unsafe to use in areas where data centers have been recently built. Feel like we need to speak out more about the new Six Flags’s use of AI slop and do things like wear anti-AI slop shirts as a regular thing at the parks and write to them about it. The use of AI slop for a Phantom Theater revival would be hugely disrespectful to the original attraction, Encore, and those who were involved in them as well as their many fans. If they really want to go cheap, they could always try to reuse whatever posters and such are still left from Encore and the original attraction. I don’t know how much commissioning artists who work in the amusement industry to create graphics these days costs but I’ve seen some artists in like the furry community charge a couple hundred dollars for logo design.
  9. Offering it now, if the park uses AI for anything related to Phantom Theater, I will personally redraw it free of charge
  10. My wife and I got the brewhouse nachos... those were the BIGGEST nachos we have ever seen!
  11. It's literally the same thing as Hanks, but a different name. The main downside is they charge like 5 bucks extra for guac OR queso which is ridiculous lol. I'd much rather go to Hot Head where it's like a dollar extra for guac or queso tbh.
  12. Plenty of times. I usually get the chicken bowl. Pretty good. I wish they gave you more food or gave you chips on the side.
  13. For $2, thats not too bad thank you Dippin Dots guy!
  14. I haven't eaten here since it was Hanks Burrito Shack... has anybody ate here?
  15. Its funny how a ride over 20 years being removed from an amusement park is still being talked about, just goes to show you how much this ride is loved and missed.
  16. ^I’m down there enough to be a local, once every month-2 months and spending 120-170 for an epic ticket each time has not been the best experience. I’m hoping they drop an ap for USO IOA EPIC for 2026 soon!
  17. I hate to be overly nit-picky, but Six Flags LICENSES the rights to *some* Warner IP—they don’t “own” the rights to WB properties (the way Disney owns the rights to Mickey Mouse and Star Wars or Universal owns the rights to Shrek and Jurassic Park) and they’re paying some sort of ongoing fee to use that IP in their parks. My understanding is that the licenses to Looney Tunes & the DC comic characters is pretty long term, but at some point they will have to be renegotiated and renewed—and any IP not specified in the current licensing would have to be negotiated separately—for example, Six Flags couldn’t just create a replica of the “Friends” coffee house in the parks without negotiating the licensing to use that specific IP.
  18. But you can literally stow your carryons in the floor of The Bat and Junkyard Coaster. Or at least when I was there last year you could. Why would they the put lockers there?
  19. It sounds like a nice way to get around using the locker machines. I wonder how it will hold up with the standard human competence as I have to assume someone will end up testing its resiliency. I'd really like to see if Kings Island could find a way to install queue line lockers like on Steel Vengeance and Siren's Curse. Mystic Timbers probably has one of the better setups to install them in the park, with the Stunt Coaster coming in close behind it. They might be able to do it for Banshee and The Beast with a little work. Diamondback, Orion, Adventure Express, and The Bat would probably do better with the Yukon Striker-style station baskets and some queue line/exit line work. I can't imagine how you accomplish any of this on The Racer. It's something interesting to think about.
  20. I saw that during my recent visit to Cedar Point as well at the Top Thrill 2 lockers. I take it those were just added?
  21. I'd love to see this kind of facade come to either the Boo Blasters building and/or to The Crypt's building. Both of them would need to have some extensive work done to look like this, but it would look so good. I feel like the biggest hang up from this concept art to what became PT was the addition to the building (with the posters in front of it). It would be a good place for some additional queue line and/or a much-needed addition of space for the Peanuts Showplace. Whatever we end up seeing, I really hope there aren't any AI posters or artwork. AlpenFury has AI all over its indoor queue and it looks bad.
  22. When it comes to dressing up the exterior of the building, I'd like to see them attempt to make it like this old original concept art
  23. Yes honestly this is the best teaser Kings Island has given us since Mystic Timbers, I'm actually not sure what the next part of the teaser is going to be.
  24. I’m starting to get the idea that you don’t enter the conjuring through the normal crypt building entrance, and they’re making a path available for the side of the building that faces slaughterhouse and you’ll enter through the bay doors over there instead. Since the indoor theming doesn’t go with conjuring that they’ve had since the crypt. That way then you don’t have to go up and down the stairs either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. I’ve listened to it like 100 times, I can barely hear “So you wanted to see the theater did ya?” in the static (mostly listening for like syllables). But it might just be nonsense because anything else is a stretch. I’ve never seen any of the Conjuring movies so idk if wind chimes have any significance, but a lot of the Maestro’s dialogue in the original attraction references like portals to another world. “You have entered our world, now escape if you can!” Honestly I love the fact that there’s a teaser campaign that isn’t just “Phantom Theater’s coming back to Boo Blasters”. As of yesterday there’s apparently more construction walls outside of the Tomb Raider building, which makes me even more confused. I’m still sticking to my theory that PT goes in Boo Blasters as a flashlight shooting ride, and nothing goes into Tomb Raider, but the fact that I’m not sure about that is so interesting to me.
  26. Rumors say that it has something to do with the Conjuring Haunt attraction which is said to be in the old Crypt building. But honestly I'm not sure...
  27. Really great teaser they released! In reflection, I see the obvious reference to the queue music, the cartoon Maestro, and the cat. The video also focuses in on a BB cutout that says something to the effect of "not dead yet." The radio static reminds me of Mystic Timbers. Any significance with the wind chimes in the transition scene?
  28. As do bankruptcy lawyers! I wouldn't be opposed to more competition between Kings Island and Cedar Point, even if it's from within the same chain. Either way, this may be a conversation for another extant topic altogether.
  29. We’re nearing mid-July, and let’s be honest—this has been really rough season at Kings Island and for the company. From staffing shakeups to cutbacks, to things like no ice, no cups, and restaurants closed—it’s all added up. Guests have noticed. I’ve noticed. But here’s the part we don’t say enough: there are still a lot of hard-working associates out there showing up every day, doing their best with what they’ve got. And they deserve credit—a lot of it. The message about what’s wrong? It’s been heard. Loud and clear. The park knows. It’s on them to fix it. As we head down the homestretch for daily operation, let’s shift the focus and talk more about the good things happening during our visits.
  30. So according to one guest Flight of Fear was formerly Tomb Raider and his wife corrected him that Tomb Raider was actually at Universal....
