  1. Why not just bring back the Skyride. Remove slingshot, add a new station, convert the Snoopy store in PS back into a station. Evacuating people from 100ft up is not as hard compared back to the late 70’s. Fire trucks now days have ladders that go that high. Wouldn’t be hard for the park to purchase a cherry picker with a 100’ reach. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. I second that motion and move to close the idea of even chopping down any trees. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. “The park's iconic international-themed entry is ready for its first-ever makeover since the park opened more than 45 years ago.” Somebody at Channel 5 might want to fix this statement. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. There are usually multiple events going on in the park the same weekend as CoasterStock.
  5. They were, the itinerary hasn't been updated yet. Not sure if the site completely live since it is not on the front page, but the link I have booked marked shows the dates for 2019.
  6. The same as the park building an RMC, a wing coaster, a new bathroom, a new restaurant, or even nothing at all.
  7. ***Updated, we have one now. I’m actually looking for a 1972 souvenir map in good shape to borrow for the ki50movie project. I need to get a ultra hi resolution scan if it. Send me a pm if you have one. Thanks. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. I would support that.....as long as we get our Eagles back from Carowinds and they put it back in Coney Mall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. That would be Joey Fessler. These are the reels of film he donated. There are 2 from Coney Island we plan on restoring as well.
  10. I sent you a PM. Here is a snippet of what has been done on some 8mm donated by the Fessler family from Bellevue, Ky. This is just initial steps in the process. Far from a finished product and already much improved. The frame on the left is what you get from most places if they provide a good telecine. On the right is our 1080p direct frame by frame scan of the film. https://youtu.be/4D8jG0kMfDE Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Yes, WaterWorks took away the seclusion of the train and the back of Hanna Barbera Land.
  12. IMO, the biggest cosmetic changes. 1. Adventure Village/Action Zone 2. Rivertown 3. HB/Planet Snoopy Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. The sign was just repainted a year ago. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. You should see the model on display of the new coaster design from GCI. Sweeeet! Photo Credit to In The Loop FB page https://www.facebook.com/inthelooppodcast/photos/pcb.2281063755502885/2281063675502893/?type=3&theater
  15. I’m pretty sure there is a reason they haven’t yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. If CF holds true to past actions, then they will salvage any parts they will need to service Nighthawk at Carowinds and scrap the remaining part of the coaster. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. I would say they probably used the container instance for FOF on this page that is used for the main website. Saves from having to make a whole new instance. **edit** Looks like thats what happened. It could be on purpose or just an over site in coding the the Winterfest page. 18. This is just something I quickly threw together in ps. I used Fury 325 as a filler. It is pretty much to scale here. The coaster could be configured any which way, but I think would open the area up. Also note I closed of the X-Base “tunnel” to allow Racer to be restored to the original track configuration. I miss that airtime at the brake run. Again, this is just an idea. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Try FB. Lol Question: What is unique to Kings Island? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. To note, the earlier PTC trains were not designed to run backwards, the later versions had the ability to run backwards from the factory. Let's hear it from Mike himself...
  21. The current trains on Racer were never designed to run backwards, that is why they will not be turned around again due to recommendations by PTC, but I do know of a set of compatible trains that are currently orphaned that can run backwards. BTW, did someone say gondolas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. I think this should clear it up for you. Kings Island owns the land all the way down to the river. I would highly advise not to fly a drone over their property.
  23. Things may change next year. I think Dollywood will give KI a run starting next year with the addition of Wildwood Grove.
  24. Pretty Cool. I’m curious on the source of the footage which appears to be drone footage over Kings Island property. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
