  1. In today's episode of Six Flags budget cutting, Skyline is out of season long paper cups and refuses to provide guests with the larger cups available and forcing guests to then carry their Skyline to another place to get their drink. And they are out of onions... Buy your season pass with free drink plan...and go to Coney BBQ where the drinks are flat... Caveat Emptor
  2. IYKYK lol (you actually answered your own question.....)
  3. Water is available at some of the fountain drink locations...well actually all of them right now with so many drinks out of syrup
  4. Anna Sun by Walk the Moon And with its chorus "This house is falling apart" seems appropriate for Six Flags at the moment lol https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qDVW81bXo0s&pp=0gcJCdgAo7VqN5tD
  5. ^If they feel the steal is too much, I could see the chain eliminate the self-serve and return to the unsanitary hand the associate your nasty dirty souvenir cup and fill up and touch the ice scoop and drop back in to the ice or give you water cups they filled. Right now they feel the theft isn't worth the hourly rate of associates to manage it.
  6. Buy your silver pass Caveat Emptor
  7. 47,000 rides baby LOL
  8. Whatcha talkin about Willis
  9. It was Gary Coleman. He has had many health issues and doesn't make it to the park very often anymore.
  10. Let's not forget that in 2019 the park put up signs in The Beast queue with stats and pictures and recognize Carl Eichelman as the official record holder at 4,400 rides. Or did Rick accumulate 40,000 rides since those signs went up to go along with his over 5,000 Orion rides
  11. If only there was a rumors subforum...oh wait...
  12. Many of The Beast ride ops are returners over many years. Many don't know who he is other than what they see on FB... Many here worked Beast in the 80s and 90s and don't know who he is other than on FB... Over the last few years, probably under 20 times, and that is probably generous. Maybe he has smoked 43,000 cigarettes in the park
  13. Just like they stopped complaining we need a giga after Orion was built
  14. Are you sure that Coke Freestyle drink stand by Enrique's re-opened? Every time I went by after 12:30pm that sign was there that is was closed. Maybe it did for a short period, but seems unlikely. As for The Beast guy, he is a nice guy, but a good fish tale story teller LOL. So, this Vlogger attended CoasterStock in 2022 and from this video dated May 23, 2022, they ran into him and he says on the video that he has rode The Beast 31,030 times and when @Tr0y and others (because there seems to be daily posts with pictures with the guy on FB), claimed that as of July 24, 2023 he has rode The Beast 38,000 times.... And as recently as last week, people were posting on FB he said he is over 47,000 rides. So who believes that in 14 months (but really about 9 months when you subtract out Nov-March) that this dude rode The Beast 6,970 times? And without a Fast Lane? And at the pace he walks? Not even Mr. Racer got near that many rides in a year when he was on his marathon stretch LOL. Mr. Orion struggles to get 2,000 rides in a year and he has Fast Lane. Mr. Diamondback never hit near those numbers in year either. Heck has anyone hit more than 6,000 rides on a single ride in one year LOL. He also says his name and picture are on a plaque in The Beast queue - has anyone seen it and got a picture? As they would say on Mythbusters, this claim is FALSE. Enjoy his stories, but don't take it as 100% accurate.
  15. No different methodology than the person that bought a pass for 12 months and then watches in August someone buying a pass and getting 17 months (August thru end of following year)... Did they do anything for those that feel cheated the past couple of years on that deal....
  16. Go on days with rain in the forecast they say...maybe Zimmerman has some social media plants to make the park comfortably crowded on historically light days lol (about 40min wait)
  17. It was deliberate to get another trip out of them
  18. PA announcement Soak City closing in 30min, so 2:20pm lol
  19. They plan to open it today (Monday) https://www.wkyc.com/article/entertainment/places/cedar-point/top-thrill-2-closed-cedar-point-weekend-update-tony-clark-sandusky-ohio/95-8ec3cfd5-3541-4dbe-8534-1f4ea2adeecf
  20. #truth lol Almost everyone I know that says that still renews...or returns the following year... And as long as the number of new passes sold is greater than the number of passholders that don't renew, they don't care... And the new passholder will have a higher per cap than the disgruntled non-renewer, so it's a win-win lol Ar the end of the day, complaints and all, it still represents a cheap entertainment value. Buy your silver pass
  21. Some video of Day 2 I found, including some cool shots of the lights on Flight of Fear. Who doesn't have fun experiencing that - always a fun and crowded event!
  22. All valid points. My quick take: They held a dog and pony Investor day to try to oversell their efforts and generate positive buzz and the investors saw right thru and asked the pointed questions. They are falling well short of the pre-merger synergy savings they touted as a reason for the merger. Eliminating a bunch of rides and counting the reduced O&M savings as a synergy of the merger was called out. Once you take the shine off the sell, they only have about $60M on hand, upcoming $350M in notes due, and carrying almost $6B in debt. They need money and they need it fast. Stock price down over 30% this year. With the dumpster fire of an Investor day, they feel a sense of urgency to act quick to try to gain investor confidence. We are now seeing the knee-jerk reactions and direction changes based on whatever direction the wind is blowing the Six Flags over the HQ at Charlotte. The media has latched on to the park head honcho terminations (or um retirements), but there are lots of other positions let go and at several levels below head honcho level that folks thought wouldn't get that deep. That is their story to tell, so I won't share how deep, but expect to see more cuts....just because you never heard about it or didn't know them doesn't mean they didn't provide tremendous value in your day at the park. Buy your silver pass....
