  1. Unfortunately, nothing new that many of the other parks are already doing.
  2. And they offered it on the side just the day before lol. So inconsistent. Speaking of "on the side", Skyline freely puts people's skyline, cheese, and onions in their own containers so they can take it home without it being a big sloppy mess if fully assembled at KI for the ride home... People talk about the chain is cutting portion size to prevent sharing, yet they freely give away an extra plate for sharing and accommodate folks wanting to pack the food up to take home, yet some sauce on the side to enjoy the meal in the park is a no-no lol.
  3. Didn't they go on sale after it closed, so folks were aware of the possibility it wouldn't be open?
  4. Not the last time I checked lol, but it ties in well to the mail order bride ads
  5. I wonder how many on this site are interested in wedding dresses LOL. That is the full screen ad that keeps popping up for me!
  6. Oh but the condiment was free if you let them add it to the food. It was asking for it on the side in the abundance of containers just sitting there that was the issue. Maybe need to ask for an extra plate and dump it on there instead lol.
  7. How many parks constitute a chain? Herschend owns Dollywood and Silver Dollar City and Kentucky Kingdom and Wild Adventures (along with some aquariums), so does that mean those are off the table for this park purchasing spree? Actually we just saw this play out...MEMI purchased Coney Island. Could they buy other one off parks and expand their footprint? Good thing Beeastfarmer is buying these other parks and keeping them as parks!
  8. Hey @Tr0y - interesting that they will readily give away extra plates and bowls for people to share the meal, yet ask for sour cream on the side in a piddly little container and they say that isn't allowed...
  9. Per the FAQ: I have the All-Park Passport. Does that change how I earn and redeem Perks? What about separately gated waterparks? No. At this time, you can only earn and redeem perks at your home park. Scanning at a separately gated waterpark (if applicable) and the dry park on the same day will only count as one total visit.
  10. Hopefully 305 is going at KD when you go. Rumor down for a part from Intamin.
  11. Eiffel Tower and Drop Tower were not running....
  12. It's not unlimited food. The app only shows wait times when in the park, but there are other sites that show wait times. With over 80 rides and attractions, except for when the park is closed or weather, half of them are not closed, even with budget cuts LOL.
  13. And to this point - Can The Beast run with the exit gate ajar - sure it can - how many years did it operate without a sensor or magnetic gate there and could be open or unlocked and the ride still ran.... But safety is always a continuous improvement and thus the change to a magnetic exit in recent years, along with other safety features that most of the general public never see or here about. Most of the GP fail to realize that safety is the utmost importance on these rides and because the rides are a closed system, any sensor that faults cause the ride to shut down, even when there isn't a real risk to the guests. That is intentional. Sure they could program The Beast to still run when the exit gate opens, but why would you do that and run the what if risk? Contrast that to a vehicle - your O2 sensor can come on, your check engine light can come on, you can open your door while in motion, the car will go without the seatbelt latched, etc. All of these are sensors that fault and throw up a warning light on your dashboard, but the car doesn't stop in its tracks and allows you to still drive it with those warnings. At some point, depending on the severity of the issue, the car may came to a stop LOL, but it isn't as soon as the PLC throws a warning. Could you imagine a warning light coming on in your vehicle on I-71 and the car immediately stops and the chaos that occurs with all the vehicles behind you trying to avoid you. That would be a worse scenario than letting you continue with a check engine light on. Because a ride is a controlled environment, it can stop whenever the ride programs it to stop because it is a closed environment without having to worry about other outside entities being impacted by it. Sure it is a minor inconvenience to the guest, but it ensures that safety of the guests and employees are put first, along with the operational longevity of the ride because it isn't running hours on end with a "check engine" equivalent light on.
  14. ^to be a terpy and pull a factual, it didn't open Memorial Day weekend in 2020 due to Covid....but yeah get your point.
  15. It has been closed since Tuesday night.
  16. It doesn't help that kids and their parents have no respect for the landscaping. So much gets destroyed to go get that picture by the sign or decoration. At least it isn't getting torn up this year with the hide a front of the line pass lol. passes
  17. But people feel it is more fun to social media blast instead of asking for a new one or refund - they need the likes and what not LOL. They probably have the meal plan. Did you see the person complaining on FB that a food stand had no napkins? Instead of letting an employee know they tried to FB shame the park.
  18. People talk about our reduced hours...meanwhile over at Six Flags over Texas they decided to close on Tuesdays in the summer, along with 7 and 8pm closes (a park that usually pulls 3million in attendance):
