  1. Like an all new music review for 2022
  2. That band is top notch. They can literally sound like a soundtrack of the top acts.
  3. But they should have known looking at all the pent up demand attendance other non CF parks around the country were exhibiting that opened long before CF opened the majority of their parks. Why would they think CF wouldn't follow that same trend? This uptick in attendance comes as no surprise to me whatsoever and I have stated many times on this forum this year that I think on a per day basis that KI will have significant increases in attendance... A typically light 15,000 guest Tuesday will now be a busy 25,000-35,000 guest day...if Soak City didn't have reservations, I think they would have exceeded that today. Lines today looked like passholder preview Saturday... And this was an 8pm close that typically keeps the crowds down. Wait until 10pm closes...
  4. It sucks you had to deal with that @Rallyomalley Hopefully you didn't see them the rest of the day. It really is a shame that so many in society now when pointed out that they made a mistake or broke a rule, instead of apologizing they get all defensive and willing to start a fight. All the years I have stood in a line and someone lit up a cigarette and I nicely inform them that it is not allowed in line, only once did someone apologize and be like "my bad I didn't know" and put it out immediately. Most of the time it is an F you... Once I was sitting eating and someone lit up a cigarette at the table next to me and I nicely informed the lady and she got all fussy and she said "There is a security guard, I am going to get him over here and tell him you are harassing me." I encouraged her to please wave him over and she did with the cigarette in her hand and he told her smoking was prohibited. She got belligerent with security and hastily put it out, and not once apologized to me or security. Entitled society we are becoming.
  5. Unfortunately, it is basically right at the bottleneck before the little bridge going over toward Brewhouse...any crowd at all will block the midway that can get bottlenecked just with the train and Timbers being let out at the same time....
  6. But what if it is mostly passholders and season pass add-ons? And if the crowds continue where a normal light Tuesday is like a Saturday crowd, many will not be renewing....many have stated that already given everything going on with CF....now if people hold true to that LOL and not renew is another story. Easy to speak on emotion and the crowds at this point... But I think many will wait and renew next year, if at all, after seeing what product CF is putting out (like operating days, hours, etc.)...
  7. 45 minutes for skyline that started at Starbucks...just to get inside the building...then another 20min After work crowd coming in now for their "free" meal...they will have to cut the food lines off early lol.
  8. Of course they can't accept photos...
  9. As mean as it sounds, with an incident like this, the whole group should be ejected. That would prevent the abuse you took in line that could have ended much worse. Or they follow and harass you around the park.
  10. He would have turned right around lol! Approaching a Saturday crowd.
  11. Anyone thinking Tuesdays are light will find that not the case today.. As of this post, Skyline is out past Starbucks and chicken shack halfway to Drop Tower. Rides all healthy queues as well. And this is an 8pm close...
  12. It doesn't have to be for a coaster. Is HC325 gonna fund the concept I think Shaggy nailed why we will not see it continue as a main act venue.
  13. Cedar Fair should feel slighted they were not mentioned as they are offering way more than Kennywood! https://www.nytimes.com/2021/05/30/business/economy/pandemic-jobs-teenagers.html
  14. @flightoffear1996 - was this your first time to Carowinds? Your experience this weekend was different than this?
  15. Interesting - in another thread someone said how bad the operations were and how understaffed Carowinds was? 20 trains in an hour and Gold Rush only had 2 employees and 10min dispatch times?
  16. ^this! Many will make more per hour in their chosen career field as a co-op or intern than the park can pay. And fast forward to graduation and that results in higher starting pay compared to the graduate that didn't work in their field during college. But on the flip side, there are also many demanding jobs that some of my RN nurse friends have said CP or KI is paying more per hour than they make and they have joked about working their for summer. So what is the answer? More full-time jobs to entice people to work there? Bigger outreach to high schools? Couple positions to internships within their chosen field - for example a ride op majoring in marketing would have x% of their time within the marketing department? And then of course how does CF pay for all of this? Increased prices or reduced prices and make it up on volume?
  17. ^ yep and I hope I am wrong, but I think the typical slow days at KI will be slammed, especially with CP closed on Tue and Wed in June and reservations, KI will pick up many people that would have been going to CP. Plus all the pent up demand and so many passes sold that people want to get their money's worth... The 8pm closes may deter some, but apparently not today lol!
  18. What is considered a midway and gatherings in large groups that block midways
  19. Personally I would rather attempt the jump than ride up and down the starting ramp he used to get up to speed LOL. That looked more scary to me! If you didn't pay attention to that part, watch some videos again of him going up that steep ramp at enough speed to get up it yet not shoot off of it at the top or go off the side. The jump is all about getting the right speed LOL. Going UP the downward ramp was more impressive! Who am I kidding, it was all impressive! I remember he said he learned about the landing ramp idea from his dad and I know he felt that early landing by landing on the flat part and it was impressive not losing the landing coming in. Those shocks absorbed a lot, but that wasn't much different than landing on the ground at that point so his back took some of the hit as well.
  20. I found it interesting, but not surprising when you think of it, that clearly someone had to have made and tested that jump a few times. Look at all the tire marks on the landing ramp! And yet he came up just short when it mattered, not that most realized that though!
  21. Change pen to computer and you get the idea (this commercial is a little old LOL)... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TlhFwFxi2Do (in case anyone doesn't get the humor - CF only has one computer for social media so they cannot get to everything as the Twitter employee didn't get their turn due to the email employee crafting an email )
  22. They will be closed tomorrow due to a staffing shortage oh wait wrong park...
  23. Guess what...just as many of us predicted...the park calendar now changed to show Soak City NOT opening tomorrow...where is a tweet or FB post about this change? Hopefully at the very least they notified those that had reservations! Will the 2 hours be added back now
