  1. Now that the cable has snapped this just spells doom for The Racer.
  2. I am hopeful we get the enterprise from Valleyfair, it would be a great addition to the Coney Mall section of the park. The old Flight Commander location would be a great spot. ( after modifications are made ) Name of the ride could be "Cyclone".
  3. It would be awesome if Coney Island bought and refurbish the Big Dipper from Geauge Lake and move it to Coney Island. That would be a perfect addition.
  4. Is Incredible Hulk still using the tire launch? But great report! yes.
  5. Wow, that is interesting! http://www.KICentral.com/history/photos/displayimage.php?album=4&pid=129#top_display_media
  6. Here is a video from YouTube of the new queue line of the new Incredible Hulk Coaster: At the end of the video it seems as if the new Incredible Hulk Coaster is using the old wheel driven launch system from the previous coaster. The themeing looks incredible! ( no pun intended )
  7. There is a perfect place for Valleyfair's Enterprise at KI. They could place it right in the old Flight Commandor location, it would be a great location given the fact the concrete is already in place and the queue with the exception of the railing is still there. Hopefully this is KI's second announcement, an Enterprise would be a great addition to Coney Mall!
  8. I much prefer The Bat paint scheme and tame over the previous Flight Deck and Top gun in the past. Top Gun was nice when it had red paint, but it eventually was painted to all grey which made the coaster look very bland.
  9. Probably green Intamin track. Ba dum Tss! But in all honestly im kinda confused wether if the shed is just a MCBR or actually the coaster station? I'm thinking it will be something along the lines of BLSC's MCBR, but more than likely without the animitronics. Basically more or less a light show and maybe some cgi animations on a screen.
  10. That camo cover is all too familiar, here is a video from YouTube of the Son of Beast announcement in 1999. https://youtu.be/UJF7tdvhUTo Skip to the 5 minute mark in the video.
  11. manufacture, name, stats, color, themeing and coaster type are still up in the air. All we have in our hands and from what we can see currently is the layout. Unlike Banshee when we saw footer type ( obviously B&M ), parelell footer placement ( obviously invert ) layout ( from city ) and name. ( trademarked by CF prior to announcement ). CF and KI have done a wonderful job keeping project2017 a mystery this time around.
  12. My heart tells me Intamin, but my mind keeps telling me it's going to be GCI.
  13. A bit late to the topic but I find it interesting that they are going to announce this coaster this early and prior to footers being poured. I guess they learned from Banshee how easily it was for a the coaster enthusiast to identify what type of coaster and manufacture we were going to get based on the design and footer placement. Banshee was easily decoded in my opinion.
  14. according to Hoover http://frtw.com/?q=exteriorfirex Shows the specs and uses of this wood. Rollercoasters is not in the list for uses, not all wood makes good use for coaster construction, but certainly could be used for other things that will be apart of project 2k17.
  15. Any word on what is to become of Hurler for the 2017 season?
  16. I wonder how soon green Intamin track arrives on site after the announcement. I wonder why my iPad decided to double post this, it must be sign.
  17. I wonder how soon green Intamin track arrives on site after the announcement.
  18. Christmas in July at Ki? Meh, I won't be attending that. I think the park should plan a Pokemon GO day, that would attract a lot of crowds young and old.
  19. The great Warner Stengel designed SoB, it probably was good on paper at one point. Unfortunatly Paramount had other plan$.
  20. Not to mention the couple of times Woodstock Express was painted. Rebel Yell also received paint recently
  21. It is simply not pratical to have a natural lake used for a splashdown element. Now maybe they could have made it look nicer, maybe it was in the plans at one point but at the time we had Mr. Micromanager calling the shots.
  22. The point of a splashdown is for people nearby watching to see the awesome water affect, therefor adding ride appeal. If Diamondback's splashdown was heavily wooded the splashdown would be pointless. People nearby wouldn't be able to see it. The splashdown while riding is a very uneventful section of the coaster, the only people who somewhat experience the "splash" affect are in the very back seat, on the last cart.
