  1. While not haunt related per say, I saw a dude in Kiddie Land with a cup of beer. Am I wrong in thinking that there are "no alcohol past this point" signs at the biergarten?
  2. A bowl of toppings, minus the main course!
  3. I took my 4 year old to "the spooky park", she said the fire was the only thing that scared her. Most of the actors just wave and say hi when they see her.
  4. I believe it is loaded as soon as the confirmation is given. So yes.
  5. I tried to go to Mac and Cheese tonight, but a fully wrapped queue and the line still out the door turned me away. Literally the most full I've ever seen the parking lot, I parked a stone's throw from the entrance it was so full, 4 people working the front-end of Coney BBQ.
  6. Getting irritated at parents not watching their kids in Hanna Barbera Land and letting them cut in line.
  7. Bring a friend ticket you just go to the ticketing booth, flash the GP and they give you a ticket. I've placed them back into will-call before for someone to pick up later, I've also just turned around and gave them to someone in line. Fast Lane there is a booth just to the North of the entrance inside the park. It's near stroller rental and the measuring booth, same thing; flash the pass and they give them to you.
  8. Just think of all the marketing materials they'll have to re-do if they get rid of Vortex.
  9. I'd pay good money to go tour old abandoned parts of fairly well established places. The museum center, music hall, KI. I did the old brewery tour downtown where you go into an ancient looking aging cellar, love that stuff.
  10. I'd actually prefer something other than Phantom Theater. Same kind, but not the same thing. Something still a bit spooky, but the BooBlaster part kind of takes away from it. Make it a ride with a ton of little details just like PT but don't give me something to distract from the effort.
  11. Potato buns? They do fries, and they do them well. I'd be happy if they just take the chicken off the menu, and start offering cheese fries as their offering to the meal plan.
  12. Put the entrance back where Dinosaur's Alive was at. Also I'm really hoping the South side of Racer was a guess. I'd be much happier if they put the ride on the North side. Nice drive through the trees.
  13. Are you suggesting that if they paid people more money, more people might want to work?
  14. Cars were all the same style, two seat in front, two seats pointed back in back, one pedal and the four post roof. Different colors is all I recall. There might have been minor embellishing differences.
  15. What if... they tie it into Mystic Timbers theme? Just a casual drive through an old timber town in the 20s or something. There are a bunch of little easter eggs planted around of things being a bit off. Nothing standout-ish that just jump in your face and ruin the nice tranquil feel of cruising at the blistering speed of 1.5mph through an old village or anything. Maybe a sign here or there about people hearing sounds at night, maybe some trees are shaped a bit funny and are overgrowing a shed... What if The Beast isn't an animal, and The Woods surrounding the park is The Beast. There is one master tree (Mystic Timber) that has been fueling it? All because some alien tech got lost in the woods a long time ago, and they tried to come back to find it later and got caught, and we built a big warehouse around it. Heck we could tie in like five different things to this one storyline! *EDIT* Wait a second, we can go deeper! Add Adventure Express into the mix! I'm bored, story time! 2500BC while helping the Egyptians construct the pyramids, one alien ship has a disaster mid-flight and crash lands in what would later be named Kings Mill Ohio. The shuttle lays dormant for millennia and is eventually overgrown by the deep forest known to cover this land. Around 1200, nearly 4000 years later the natives of the region decided to start investigating the area instead of avoiding the deep forest. They find one massive tree that seems to exude some mystical power. They build a temple around it and begin to worship the tree and the surrounding forest. After a few centuries the tree actually starts to learn and recognize it's power over these people. However some of the natives begin to worry that the tree may be evil and attempt a coup to cut down the tree. Disaster follows and the entire population is destroyed, knowledge of the tree and the temple fades as the community kept their tree very secret. People start populating the area centuries later in 1700. Due to the oddly dense forest they start a lumber mill, which is so successful that they name it Kings Mill. The wood is stronger than normal and there are lots of them, making them rich as kings. Later, deeper in the forest one truly monstrous tree is found hidden surrounded by an ancient and unknown of temple. An expedition is set up and outposts are constructed to supply what may turn out to be the adventure of a lifetime. As cars become more prevalent in the area roads are constructed, and the mill begins to buy up multitudes of cars for the business to increase transportation of the lumber. The lumber mill flourishes, and with the help of the all motorized vehicles transportation costs drop. The mill start delving deeper and deeper into the forest cutting down more and more tree. Eventually, some time in the last 70s disaster strikes the mill. A massive crash is heard from an unknown source, due to all the panic and general bewilderment of the town an evacuation of the mill and surrounding area is called. Some people mysteriously get turned around trying to leave and find themselves almost magically herded towards one of the older sheds in town. They are never seen again. Another distress signal later that week arrives from one of the outposts for one of the thought to be abandoned expedition outposts. Only one is ever received, after later investigation Outpost 5, and the reported monstrously big tree have vanished. Little activity comes from the area in the forest any more, but on occasion visitors to Kings Mill can still hear sounds from the forest. Nobody knows what makes them, but everyone refers to it as "The Beast"
  16. I had the same issue. I signed up for the auto-renewal, went through the entire process thinking "maybe the next one will come up after this one", nope. I didn't even get a confirmation about the purchase after that, I ended up just going a manual renewal on all my passes, so let's see if I accidentally bought myself two gold passes, with two meal plans, and two drinks. 5-6 days later I still have no confirmation on the auto-renewal, but I did get confirmation of the manual renewals and my entry into the auto-renewal program for those passes. Platinum Plus, extra 10 bucks everything works everywhere. Period.
  17. They will ask you, as long is it isn't super obvious that they are over 3 they don't tend to question it. Though I had one 16 year old ask me about my 1-1/2 year old once. Teens are funny, they either just accept they generally have no idea what a toddler looks like and never question, or ask all the dang time. Some of the older people at the gate will ask more. So if you want to game the system, plan accordingly. One kid's birthday is in the last half of the year, I'm not going to get her a season pass for Halloween Haunt alone. My second is in the first half of the year, she gets a season pass 'early'. My buddy is 6'5", his wife is 6'1". Their 2 year old is taller than my 4 year old. They have fun times at the gate. Their 5 year old is nearly 5 feet tall already. Side note. I think this will be the last year I do the meal plan, at least two meal plans. Unless the food game steps it up in 2019 I can just wait for Taco Bell. My kid's patience is about that of a fly so I'll get one for them to eat in the park, but it just isn't worth paying for two meals.
  18. Every time I went to get my FL for my renewal, they just hand me the bracelet and send me on my way. Just put it on someone else's wrist.
  19. Everyone, buy 2019 Season Passes now, get exactly the same deal we've offered for at least the last 3 years.
  20. What if I wanted steamed rice? I am sad to see the Bangkok Beef gone. Everything else they offer tastes like Asian Inspired Sugar.
  21. Does anyone have a legit picture of the post at Cedar Point? The one posted is a real close up that you can see some sliver of a building. I'd like to see a clear shot of the building. Like everyone else said, if this poster really is at Cedar Point, then the comments from the rep at KI might be true ("Park spokesman Chad Showalter told WCPO, "We have nothing to do with the speculation you are reporting on.")", but the CP rep sounds fishy (a spokesman for Cedar Point, Tony Clark, told us, "Cedar Point does not comment on rumor or speculation. Fun stuff, though, isn't it?"). Saying "we don't comment on rumor and speculation" is not the same as saying "It isn't true". They are totally hinting at something, and they WANT people to hype up over it. What gets more hype than a bunch of hilarious conspiracy speculation stories?
