Drummermattk Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Not Timbers construction related but does anyone know where in the park this is located? It looks like Banshee area but thats all I can guess (My bad i had just saw this on my second account CoasterMatt Productions and as curious) 2
calakapepe Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Yeah, sorry about that. It worked when I tested it on my pc.. then I tested on my tapatalk, and my mistake was editing it to say that it doesn't work on mobile.. cause that screwed it all up apparently.. https://www.KICentral.com/forums/index.php?/topic/32577-kings-island-2017-discussion-thread/&do=findComment&comment=760789 1
steveinphoenix Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 I saw on one of the parks twitter pics that there are 504 bents total on MT. I'm just curious does anyone know how many total bents were used to construct The Beast? 2
DiamondBanshee Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 ^I'm sure someone does DB, being a terp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 2
Reon Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 So many new photos. Can't comment on them fast enough.....Words cannot describe how excited I am for this thing. Very low to the ground means lots of speed and delicious g forces, and I think I've already stated my track record with GCI and how it's my favorite wooden manufacturer besides RMC. As for my thoughts on the blueprints-interesting. From what I can gather, there will be an entrance that diverges into the the Fast Lane and a curvy segment leading to what I assume are lockers before the main queue switches. I definitely agree that the exit goes toward the train station, but I don't see any divider walls or anything to differentiate between MT and Train riders, so that should be interesting. 3

CoastersRZ Posted February 16, 2017 Posted February 16, 2017 Thanks for sharing Don! Just out of curiosity, how many bents are there on each side of The Racer? 3

kirbias1 Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Is drummermattk's photo still on Instagram? I looked for it, but couldn't find it. 2

Nick_Plummer Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Winter themed Haunt maze? Could be similar to Tombstone Terrortory but with a lot of improvements as it looks close to the train. 3
calakapepe Posted February 17, 2017 Posted February 17, 2017 Except KIEntertainment had a picture of the building materials with hashtags saying it's not a ride and not a maze 2
Drummermattk Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 So I guess the station will be enclosed a little bit? 8
SonofBaconator Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Probably has something to do with the shed and the theming. I bet that any part of the station that isn't open is going to be covered in vines. 6
WWC2003Amy Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 Almost looks like an ice rink Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 1
Magenta Lizard Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 There are a couple panning shots of the ride on Snapchat right now. 4

Vines interwoven in the wood shed and below would give the station such a cool look, and would theme with the woods and Rivertown. 2
Kenban Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 That is the end which connects to the shed, could just be to help control the amount of sunlight so they can keep the enclosed areas darker. 3

The press releases have all stated that the ride is themed to a lumber company being taken back by nature......so I'm assuming the station is going to look like the renderings, looking like a lumber company........guessing they'd put some vines on it. 3

I thought I added the correct one 'kingsislandpr' but i'm not showing any snaps from them. Just curious if I had the correct account or not! Fixed it! Had to update my snap app lol 1
Xdog42 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 This ride just looks too good. It looks Beast is starting to have some competition for the best wooden coaster at KI. The ride is already great but I guess the shed will be the icing on the cake. 3
johnaalexis Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 I feel like this was mentioned before but I can't seem to locate it but....Just out of curiousity.....Wonder when they will be releasing the 2017 Park Map? 3
MDMC01 Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 I would like to see this as well, just to see how MT will fit in on the map. 4
Shawn Meyer Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 I sent Kings Island's PR team a suggestion recently about that. I mentioned that they should have a giant wall size park map of the park similar to what Cedar Point sells for $1.00-$2.00. I want to add that to my collection. 4
johnaalexis Posted February 18, 2017 Posted February 18, 2017 I would like to see this as well, just to see how MT will fit in on the map. Same. That's why is was wanting a peek at the map. I'd like to see how it fits in with everything in Rivertown. I've seen pics and thing but I prefer the map to really get a visual. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 3
