Hawaiian Coasters 325
My Mom at church today got $95 from people at church who were donating for this. I already raised $50 before that. So I should be very close!

Benjamin22
$20,000! I wonder what the record for the most money raised for a first rider auction is.

Hawaiian Coasters 325
I just checked my page, I have reached my $150 goal. I have a question, does the money automatically go to the park through the page when donated or do we have to send it in?

Believe online donations are collected then because I've already had the withdrawls hit my bank, my understanding of offline/cash donations can be dropped off at the park. Kinda wondering how they will total everything if you don't drop off until day of event though.
MaestroJr
Imagine if somebody came to the park with $20k the day of the event in cash and was like “yeah I’d like to ride Orion now, will this cover it?”

collin.klopfstein
I’m currently at 305, counting the 100 I just got today but in cash, thanks to everyone who has donated! Currently number 14 on the top 32 list!
BeeastFarmer
I finally got my page set up today. I am doing a twist--I'm going to match the initial $150 that folks donate to my page with donation to others. Being in the medical field, I know how important laughter and fun is to the recovery process.

I love how Cedar Fair and everybody else donating to all of those children that are ill. https://www.firstgiving.com/fundraiser/benjamin-litteken/Orion-First-Riders-Auction

DJSkyFoxx
This will be my first time participating in this kind of event so it feels good all the way around. I also purchased a brick for the CP Legacy walk. Lots of ways to make this season a memorable one. collin.klopfstein
It was great fundraising money for this and I’m very excited for April 9th. A couple questions though. 1. Is there usually a lot of people at the ride auction events? If so should I get there early? Also what time does it start and end?
King Ding Dong
Well there are currently 645 participants so yes that is a lot of people. There may be more joining prior to April 3rd deadline. How many rides will you get? Well that depends on the actual ride capacity they can achieve on a new ride. Being a B&M probably pretty good. Event is 6-9 so maybe plan on hitting the toll booths at 5? I am sure the park will give guidance closer to the event on when the gates open.

Right now 126 have reached the minimum, 184 additional have any amount between $2-$149. Just for perspective Mystic Timbers had 334 participants and 186 met the $100 goal.

Nothing in the article mentions sponsorship money in any form going to A Kid Again, which leads me to believe it is not. This does not jeopardize the importance or the integrity of the auction, but it does feel kind of dirty.
