Diamondback_Is_King
Cedar Point announced that Siren's Curse will be opening to the public on June 28! I cannot wait to ride this and TT2 later this summer! https://www.cedarpoint.com/rides-experiences/sirens-curse Edited June 5 by Diamondback_Is_King Added source
Winterfestguy
Coastermania fans today were disappointed with this announcement to them early this morning and additional disappointment that TTD2 would not operate at all today for the event.

Ouch! Any reason TT2 is down? That hurts bad after the disaster last year
Diamondback_Is_King
Another Siren's Curse Chronicles episode if you haven't seen it already: The theming and pond effect look really cool! The rusty station look kind of reminds me of Iron Menace a little. Hopefully Cedar Point cooks up a good queue with immersive elements! Can't wait for the next episode with the POV!

jzarley
In fairness, the reporter is pretty annoying Similar to Maverick or Mystic Timbers, I think this is going to be one of those coasters that don’t seem that exciting in the description, but ends up being a really fun ride in reality.
KIghostguy
I had the chance to ride this during Associate Previews, and it is a great ride. Very smooth, great airtime, and the on-board audio really ties everything together nicely. I really hope parks buy more of these. I was surprised by how much the ride feels at home at Cedar Point. To me at least, it didn't feel like a ride that was supposed to go to two other parks. And yes, I would support building one of these as The Vortex replacement!

I definitely don't think a tilt coaster at KI is completely out of the relm of possibility like some would think. Especially since both parks have hypers, gigas, and inverts. Also, I doubt Siren's Curse outside of the first few seasons will be as big of a draw as a ride like TT2, Millennium Force, or SteVe are. I think Siren's will long term be a great supporting ride for Cedar Point like what Valravn, GateKeeper, and Raptor are. The more I think about it, I think how cool a large tilt coaster would look from The Beast's exit ramp with the tilt and drop section being placed where Vortex's drop was.

Although, I am thinking Siren's Curse is going to still be a somewhat significant draw for Cedar Point in the near future, due to the attention Gravity Maxx recieved from the general public online. Siren's Curse will be the only coaster of its type on this side of the planet (until Circuit Breaker opens), so until more tilt coasters open up, I think Siren's Curse is going to draw a lot of attention from people who want to get that Gravity Maxx experience here in North America.
Losantiville Mining Co.
I'd support a tilt coaster in The Vortex plot more if it has chaser lights on the lift hill and properly fills the land it would be built on. I won't choose to die on this hill but I will advocate for it! Siren's Curse is about 20ft taller than Vortex, but the length is almost 1,000ft shorter. I think it's been long enough since Vortex's removal that Kings Island could build something with similar elements to Vortex. It'd also be a non-B&M coaster, which would be a win in my book. (No hate on B&M, but a majority of KI's newest coasters are from B&M.) This would also be an awesome opportunity to add a small pond or water element to that plot to pay homage to The Beast's original water features. Incorporate chaser lights, fill the land, add a signature feature, and make it fun!
Diamondback_Is_King
I really like that CP put some effort into the theming. They could have just left the ride sitting on concrete, but they actually incorporated a story and added some water features and more. CP really did a good job on this coaster, and I think a ton of people are getting excited to ride it. I know I am! Next time I'm there (hopefully this summer) I will definitely ride Siren's Curse and press my luck with TT2 (both I haven't ridden yet) On a separate note, I think that if Siren's Curse is successful and doesn't have a ton of downtime, then we could definitely see some more of these pop up, which I think KI is at the top of the list for a new thrill coaster like this. Yes this is correct. There used to be only paid lockers, but now they provide small lockers for free like SteVe and Siren's Curse. You can also pay for the bigger lockers needed. Like stated above, Siren's Curse has free lockers as well

This sign is a bit misleading in that regard:
robintodd
Just got back from CP and had a great trip. Despite the call for 40% rain it only rained Friday Night (after park close) and about an hour Saturday at 8pm (our party was at Tomo's during that time). Anyway, rode Sirens twice and it is a FANTASTIC coaster. Way better than expected.  The sound helps so much to create an immersive experience and the lights on the train at night are incredible. Never saw an issue with the tilt and the first time I rode it got last row and it was INTENSE. Such a great ride. It exceeded my expectation just like Mystic Timbers did when it first opened. Waited 1.5 hours around 11am on Saturday and got in like at 10:30pm and waited an hour. The line keep moving only to be delayed by people who had metal on them and had to be wanded after the detectors, despite the repeated announcements. Fantastic addition, congrats to all involved as well as the ride ops! In an interesting note, it's been noted the several paintings of snakes and sunflowers around the old Snake River Falls site. Could it stand for S&S??
Hawaiian Coasters 325
I went Friday as well and got on Siren's twice including once in front row. It was a fantastic ride and I wouldn't mind something like that eventually making its way to KI. Maybe a Vortex replacement? Imagine standing at The Beast's exit ramp and looking up and seeing a tilt coaster tilting.
Leland Wykoff
Six Flags Entertainment seems to be suffering a serious lack of management ability to construct and operate new and refurbished rides.  If Cedar Point management hoped Siren's Curse would eclipse memories of the failure of Top Thrill II to properly launch last season, they were sorely mistaken.  Current management seem experated in efforts to introduce quality rides on time, within budget, displaying acceptable reliability, and pleasing park visitors. Management has shown a frightening skill removing, closing, and discontuing attractions. Note such closures require limited management skills.  https://nypost.com/2025/07/28/us-news/cedar-points-sirens-curse-rollercoaster-breaks-down-for-4th-time-since-opening-forcing-riders-to-scale-down-160-foot-tall-curve-video/?utm_source=aol&utm_campaign=nypost&utm_medium=referral
disco2000
^Basically a click bait article. People get evacuated off older rides as well, including Beast and Bat and Congo and Invertigo and even our B&Ms, to name a few. Doesn't mean they aren't safe. Of course if Sirens sensor throws a fault it is going to be at the tilt - that is where the most sensors are and shouldn't come as a surprise to anyone. Sirens Curse continues to have long lines, as does TT2, so the general public that actually goes to the parks are unfazed by it. As I have said before, and we may not like it, but they have the metrics and bids that show a ride opening "late" doesn't show a measurable impact on attendance, especially when they account for the savings by not paying a premium for a ride to be ready by season opening. Heck they have the metrics that show new rides regardless of when they open don't move the attendance needle. School trips and Music in the Parks will occur whether the new ride is ready or not. Passholders will show up whether it is ready or not. July is the summer money maker and sadly that is when they want the attractions ready. Maybe trends in the future will change that, but that is what the numbers are saying from a business standpoint. What we should be more worried about is them starting the season later or reduced operations like 9pm closes. I would rather the park be open in April and the new ride not ready until June than the park decide to open the season Memorial Day weekend. And with the whole push for comfortably crowded and chopping off days of lower attendance, nothing is safe right now.
