  1. Has anyone purchased Fastlane the night before the day you visit? Trying to figure out when I should purchase my Fastlane.
  2. Not sure. You may be correct. It was that or AP opens this summer was in some teasers I think.
  3. I received a message from ACE about it this morning. If it makes the event more exclusive I’m all for it. This could be great or terrible we’ll have to see.
  4. I don’t believe most Arrow’s will receive the treatment. I just think parks would just rather opt for a new coaster instead. Maybe the iconic ones like MagnumXL-200 could be retracked.
  5. Looks like it’s coming along well! I did not expect Woodstock Gliders and Linus Launcher to be a part of this but I am all for it. I think it makes more sense instead of just having two things in the back of Planet Snoopy that are Camp Snoopy. I know it wasn’t mentioned but I still really hope to see the new gen Vekoma trains added to Flying Ace. Also, are they going to stick with the Flying Ace name and not change the name? I just think that’d be a bit weird with the completely different color scheme.
  6. I didn’t want to create a new thread so I thought I’d just ask my question here. To anyone has stayed at Carowinds on site hotel, do you know if you can purchase or redeem Fastlane at the hotel’s front desk? I’m asking this because I know you can redeem Fastlane at Hotel Breaker’s front desk and gift shop. Thank you in advance.
  7. I agree. In fact, I think the ride is such a staple that the area around it should get rethemed to match Banshee instead of the other way around.
  8. Orion might not be the best ride on the planet but it sure was designed incredibly well by B&M to be efficient, reliable and have some of the best capacity I’ve ever seen on a coaster.
  9. Thank you for correcting me. I wasn’t sure if it was or not, it just looked similar to Good Gravy’s crane from a distance. I saw some mixer trucks arriving on site a few minutes after that photo was taken so that makes sense.
  10. I believe we are about to see construction really start picking up with 2023 coming to an end. Correct me if I am wrong but I think this crane is very similar to the one that lifted Good Gravy’s track into place if not the same model.
  11. I agree. I think RMC should be worried. SeaWorld seems to be going away from them and turning to B&M with their investments. They almost lost their relationship with Herschend after Lightning Rod. With Cedar Fair owning more of the new Six Flags company, I don’t see them working with RMC for a long time. They don’t have a single IBOX coaster opening in 2024. Not counting SDC’s family coaster.
  12. When it was initially announced I thought there was a chance for it to be ready by opening day but I saw the Holiday World podcast about a month after announcement and I knew right away there basically was no chance. Maybe it will be completed but not able to open until after May 4th. Time will tell.
  13. Good Gravy track was completed on Tuesday. It is not looking likely for Camp Snoopy to be ready by opening day. There is still a chance but it’s looking less likely by the day. Especially since WinterFest is now daily until Christmas Eve. So I imagine work won’t resume until January.
  14. From what I know it should be able to operate during Winterfest. Energylandia operates their family boomerang that is the exact same model as ours. And it was below 0 a few weeks ago. Plus, it only has one train so it shouldn’t take as long for maintenance in the off season anyway.
  15. Does anyone know when Fast Lanes usually go on sale for the next season?
  16. According to KI, when Carowinds was building Blue Ridge Junction, KI asked for them back when Carowinds was going to relocate them into Blue Ridge Junction but Carowinds wouldn’t give them back so instead, we got the Antique Autos back.
  17. That’s why I hope with Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers coming next year they can open that during WinterFest. It only runs one train so it wouldn’t take as long to dismantle and reassemble the ride for the spring.
  18. Not surprised about SDC winning it. That park is absolutely incredible.
  19. Looks like we aren’t the only one next year… https://www.knotts.com/new-in-2024 It’s very interesting they decided to not go with a family boomerang like KI. Correct me if I am wrong but is that a Zamperla Junior coaster? The rock work looks to be amazing! I just hope they can follow through with that.
  20. I have only ridden one in the area and it was fantastic. It is called the Goat Coaster. Located at Goats On The Roof. It took a while to get up to the top but it was a super peaceful journey up. On the way down I actually got some airtime on a little airtime hill. Really fun going max speed down the mountain. I looked into The Lost Mine Mountain coaster since it was right by our hotel and I heard great things about it. Especially about the theming. I ultimately decided on Goats On The Roof because come on who doesn’t want to see some goats on a roof.
  21. I found the seats a bit uncomfortable but not super bad. It felt to me like I was leaning over more so than a shoulder problem. I’m not a huge fan of the ride it made me nauseous but I’m willing to give it another try next time I go. Those of you wondering about spinning coasters, I’ve ridden lots and Sol Spin is way more nauseating than any coaster I have ever ridden. Which is too bad but I’m not giving up yet. Maybe I just had a bad ride.
  22. Congratulations to her! Well deserved! She has done such a great job at KI!
  23. Was there a noticeable increase in the amount of lights this weekend?
  24. Big Bear Mountain and Dragonflier are both able to operate at Dollywood during their Christmas event. I know they are different ride types but same ride manufacturer. The trains on Big Bear will be almost the exact same on SSBR. I know Silver Dollar City operates almost all of their coasters as well. Including Outlaw Run and Time Traveler.
  25. Mystic Timbers is currently a 90 minute wait. Is it on one train ops as well? This further confirms my thought that we need more coasters open at WinterFest. Hopefully Snoopy’s Soap Box Racers will be able to run at this time of year in 2024.
