collin.klopfstein Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Looks like they are putting another brake run support in 6
Maverick44 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Wow that's going to be a steep short section of track going into the turn into station lol seesh! It does look like they are bolting it down. Also Cleo and T-Bone made an X lol for Project X! 3
Kodistict Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Could we possibly be seeing two brake run pieces tomorrow? 4

IndyGuy4KI Posted October 9, 2019 Author Posted October 9, 2019 Can someone please take the screenshot of the cranes above and add the names by them that were agreed upon in paint and repost? That might help with others coming into the conversation. 7
Maverick44 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Here is one that is bigger for those using Tapatalk on a cell phone. 7

I think there will just be very minimal straight track at the bottom of the brake run, I circled the supports from the animation. 3

MrSourNinja Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 Wow that is going to be an absolutely steep break run. Wonder if that will have any impact on the wear and tear of the system? 4
flightoffear1996 Posted October 9, 2019 Posted October 9, 2019 I would think the hill would help with the brake run as the trains won’t be slamming into the brakes at 65MPH. 3

Wonder if that will have any impact on the wear and tear of the system? Most of the deceleration is done by the magnetic brakes, which produce heat via eddy currents. The friction brakes are mainly used in applications where an on/off state is required (like trims or safety brakes). If you go back to the animation you can see how the mag brakes do most of the braking work which saves on replacing the pads. 5
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 I know there's a lot of glare, but it looks like they are putting up yet another brake run support this morning. That means there will be three of them waiting for track to be installed. 3
Maverick44 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Yeah we have multiple supports in place for break run now! Also good morning everyone! 2
LovinMeSomeBanshee Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Four brake run supports ready for track. 6

JonahWilliamson Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Itll give good views of coney mall and Banshee when they stack the trains. Lol when the stupid tall break run ends up being just as fun as the shed 2 5
sixohdieselrage Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 The brake run will be the second best thrill moment at KI! 6

I'm just gonna predict that we will see the first piece of the brake run go up after the crews get back from lunch so around 1pm est. Edit: At the rate they are bringing in parts for Zeus today we will hopefully get to see it vertical very soon! 1
Driver8rws Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 JUST drove by on I-71. Definitely a good sized white crane with its boom fully extended in the northern end of the parking lot with what looks to be red boom pieces of the giant crane (Zeus) around it. 3
Rockfrog33 Posted October 10, 2019 Posted October 10, 2019 Can some one later today swing by and get pictures? Thank you in advance 1
