Special Guest Speakers from Philadelphia Toboggan Company

Philadelphia Toboggan Coasters, Inc. is one of the oldest and most prestigious existing roller coaster manufacturing companies in the world at 121 years old. This Coasterstock, join PTCI President Tom Rebbie and Operations Manager Janine Rebbie Matscherz for a unique presentation of the company’s history with Kings Island. From the amusement park’s 1926 Grand Carousel (PTC #79); to its original wooden coasters, The Racer and Woodstock Express; and former PTC president John Allen’s contribution to the design process of The Beast; PTCI has played a vital role in shaping Kings Island's most beloved attractions. This special event will feature rare photos, historical insights, tales from around the workshop and on the job site as The Beast was one of Tom Rebbie's first rides he worked on! I'mThis will be the first Coasterstock I've missed.

I am stepping away from Six Flags for a season to refresh and renew my perspective. There's been so much negativity since 2022's season end. The only caveat is I am trying to decide if I want to go to the ACE Spring Conference. I love Kings Dominion and BGW.

Six Flags regional PR representative Chad Showalter deliberately left me off the list for the distribution of the Coasterstock news release. No surprise there. Despite his ongoing pettiness, I continue to produce some of the best content about the park across my owned and shared channels.

Here's a link to the piece I wrote on Coasterstock 2025 at Kings Island.

This will be the first year I miss the event since it's inception unfortunately. I'm going to enjoy going to the park as I always have throughout the season, but going Holiday World, Carowinds and Cedar Point instead this year. Going to get a little use out the all-park passport. I hope the tickets I won't get will go to someone who has not experienced the event yet.

its $50...renew with GOCC its $20..

I'm sorry, but I'd rather put my money to use elsewhere. Not to knock on ACE or GOCC they are both great organizations, but outside of Coasterstock and the monthly magazines, I don't really find a use for the memberships. I originally joined ace back in late 2019 so I could attend Orion media day and Coasterstock in 2020 (neither ended up happening for obvious reasons). In terms of Cedar Point stuff (ie Coastermania and media events where ACE is invited). I'm still a new driver and don't feel comfortable on the interstate quite yet and I don't even trust my car to make it up there as it's pretty old lol.

Like I said, I'm going to watch and see what happens at KI for next season and maybe I'll renew my ACE membership later this year, but as of right now, I'm taking a break from being in a coaster club.

Joining a coaster club just so you can attend a media event, or a coaster event is the wrong reason to join a coaster club.

I'm a member of ACE and GOCC. I will be joining Coaster Crew and the Western NY Coaster Club soon.

While not an official coaster club, being a part of KIC is similar to being in one of the clubs because of the people involved and the camaraderie amongst members.

The question is, did it really sell out or did they turn off sales to pretend it sold out and claim success?

It doesn't really matter as long as everyone who wanted a ticket got one

IMO, I think they actually did sell everything. But, I've not been around here as long as some other people so I stand waiting to be corrected :P

Going from less than eight minutes to more than seven hours to sell out would be hard to claim as a success. But there is no doubt that someone will.
