CoasterJack
As a precaution, Flight of Fear has been running reliably, but they haven't been filling the last 2-4 rows. It was explained to me that because of everyone running their AC within the park and within Mason, the stators don't have the power to launch a full train without repeated rollbacks. So, the capacity has been even more abysmal. Had a great ride Friday night while everything else was closed for rain

Diamondback_Is_King
I heard about the power outage today from a friend that is there. Apparently Bat, Banshee, Racer, and Express were all down because of power
IndyGuy4KI
Park is quite busy today. Almost full queue at Beast 3
Hawaiian Coasters 325
I'd expect this whole week to be busy with it being July 4th week with lots of people off work. Also the cicadas being gone helps. I heard even with storms the last couple of days the park has been busier than expected. Tbh this is good to see as it did look like attendance struggled the last few weeks so hopefully this is the start of a bounce back attendance wise.

Some shops are closed on a busy day. People can't spend money if they are closed.
disco2000
^as Terpy used to say, they already have your money and must figure the money made by non drink passes isn't enough to justify more open.

I went to KI last Tuesday evening and had a walk-on for every ride except FoF. All the sudden MVP sale comes out and the parks are PACKED. The nice weather has contributed to that a little, but like you said, everyone wants to get use out of their brand new shiny pass. It'll be crowded until school starts back up. Everyone's getting their last trips in before school starts. I'll explain some of the stuff I noticed at CP in my Trip Report

It'll be crowded until school starts back up. Everyone's getting their last trips in before school starts. I'll explain some of the stuff I noticed at CP in my Trip Report I think that the weather had ALOT to do with the crowd. With the cooler weather the dry park will be more crowded. When the heat index in 100 people either stayed home or were in the water park. This could be easily deduced by the line at either the season pass sales booth or taking forever to get in the park because of people getting their pictures taken at the gates. Too many people are concerned with spending on school supplies and will likely wait till the last minute to buy new/renew their pass. I do have a theory that there may be alot of pass holders that buy every other year. Thinking about it they would only miss Mid April - July (4 months) in a 2 year period.  They buy a pass now for the rest of 25 and all of 26, take off mid-April - July in 2027 and buy a pass when they go on sale in 2027 for the rest of 2027 and all of 2028.

CartersCoasters
Does anybody know if WWC will open before Labor Day? I haven't rode it this year and want to get on it before the water rides close.

Losantiville Mining Co.
The Bat had a station wait tonight and all of the other coasters appeared to have short waits whenever I looked. Oddly enough, my train on The Bat was almost a zen ride but as soon as we got back in the station there seemed to be a horde of people in line. There was a "horde" that I seemed to be just in front of all night. Same expereice - I'd ride with little wait, get off and see double the line. Help in my favor till I somehow got out of order and they got in front of me and the short line for ORION shot up to 40 min. Â
Orion-XL200
@Oldiesmann has shared that a lot of the rides this evening had high wait times and he waited longer than the posted time for Mystic Timbers.
Oldiesmann
I think a big part of it was people coming back from Soak City. I ate dinner at RPW and there were a ton of people coming from the train between 6 and the time I got in line for MT around 6:45. Even so, having a posted wait time of 35 minutes and waiting twice that long (yes, seriously - it was almost 8 by the time I finally got on) was annoying. Diamondback's line apparently ballooned around that time too as the app said it had a wait time of 80 minutes while I was in line at Mystic. By the time I got off the line for Mystic was much shorter and the line for Diamondback looked to be closer to 20-30 minutes. I don't know if wait times at other rides increased dramatically around that time or not as the wait times thing wasn't working properly in the app (I got Diamondback's wait time by switching to map view and tapping on the icon for that ride). I ended up cramming a lot in in the last two hours though - Boo Blasters, Soap Box Racers, Woodstock's Air Rail, Diamondback and Woodstock Express all within about a 90 minute period. Losantiville Mining Co.
Not necessarily a ride wait time thing (it's close enough), but on my most recent visit I experienced two full-stops in short succession on Boo Blasters due to loading/unloading. I wasn't bothered by it, I just found it interesting since I'd never thought about how those minor delays might impact wait times. They might not impact them at all. Maybe with this new attraction we'll see new or modified ride vehicles that are easier to enter and exit. (The current ones are easy enough to use, but I've also never seen someone attempt to transfer out of a wheelchair to ride.)
Stoan Posted yesterday at 12:01 AM Share Posted yesterday at 12:01 AM My kids have been in line/on car for the antique cars for over an hour. A full line, overflowing into the walk way, 1 person delivering cars. This is a joke. Â Brewhouse has so many orders in the kitchen they ran out of buzzers and the line is still out the door. Â It's the last friday of regular summer hours, on a holiday weekend and they're seemingly running half staff

It doesn't help that antique car crew is also responsible for WindSeeker AND Shake Rattle and Roll. Imo it should always be at least 2 dispatchers MINIMUM. Just because they can technically operate antiques with one dispatchers doesn't mean they should. Just like how Dodgem should not be a single op even though it technically can. Or how Viking Fury can run with 2 instead of 3 which slows down operations significantly bc that means the person up at drive has to come all the way down, unlock the gate, check the load side, and go back up and if a safety issue needs corrected they have to go back up and unlock restraints and start over which is a pain.
