How about a B&M GiGa twin racer coaster? One side is red, one side is blue. The red side has the trains going backward. There are two underground tunnels, two lift hills on each coaster, a 540-degree side banked tunnel near the end, and the final brake run is enclosed with statues moving their arms up and down?10 points

I imagine the skyline would look like this... Source The biggest thing to remember about the lift orientation is, it's all dependent on your location....it can look one way by the Soak City parking lot or entrance and then it could look completely different by the toll booth. It could look one way in Action Zone but look completely different in Rivertown.8 points

Can we start a GoFundMe page for@sixohdieselrage? I would like to fund his buddies fuel costs to get up In the air every week and provide us with some photos!6 points

They're theming and nothing more. Small, detailed touches to help round out the area. When the park starts teasing the new attraction, it will be obvious. And only at the park the ride is going in.6 points

I’m kind of confused as to what people think this promotion would even entail if it was offered to season passholders... if you got a pass you just get to bring your kid free until halfway through June? After that you’d still need to buy them a pass to come with you the rest of the season... Kings Island has arguably one of the best children’s areas in the business. People already complain about how busy it gets. For the savings to you of $100 for an entire season would you be willing for the lines to be four times as long AND the park get zero dollars for improvements from that traffic, in fact losing money they’d have gotten from any of the kids who had been getting passes every year?6 points

I can't agree with this post enough. Lack of a line is not an indication of "guest satisfaction" or "popularity." That ride has three trains that seat 28 people each and moves them through rapidly with a relatively quick operation. It's also reliable. And on the Vekoma trains: yes, yes, and YES. Vortex's biggest drawback is the head pummeling.6 points

I would support this @sixohdieselrage. What plane do you fly in? What is they fuel cost per flight hour? How long are you up in the air normally? Just curious. Also my 100th post! I’m really enjoying being a part on this wonderful community full of so many awesome people!5 points

I would like to see black supports with forest green track and orange trains for the section where it is going to run parallel to The Beast break run. That would really enhance the worst part of The Beast. Especially if they can make that section roar. I think that would really add to The Beast experience. Hearing an oncoming roar, looking over and through the trees catching a glimpse of something big and orange booking through the forest at 80-90 MPH.5 points

I'd put the chances of a yellow and black coaster being built in Cincinnati as somewhere below 0.4 points

Yes this is likely just an Easter egg. I do think it is pretty cool how CF has been tying all the parks together with these various posters. I think they have realized the full abilities of social media. Marketing is doing a great job and these posters and tributes are pretty awesome!4 points

If you weren’t a passholder, they still couldn’t come for free though. They could only visit for free if they were under four feet, and if you spent half the price of a season pass on your ticket... There is nothing barring you from bringing an extra adult /and/ child at that price if you wish. There are already several deals that allow season passholders to bring in friends (of any height) at greatly reduced prices. There is zero reason for them to allow passholders to bring extra children absolutely free. And believe me, everyone would be complaining about how crowded Planet Snoopy was if they did.4 points

The sticker also references the closing date, id say this is almost certainly an Easter egg and not actual teasing.3 points

A few bad experiences does not coincide with 90% bad food. Not liking the food offerings does not make it bad either.3 points

I feel between Vortex, Banshee and Invertigo that blue is already well covered. I'm starting to shift towards yellow track and either burgundy or magenta supports (see Raging Bull). I really want a good yellow in there somewhere. Since its in X-base, make it sci-fi sun themed.3 points

I’m not concerned about the orientation of the lift hill. I think it will give the skyline the best profile of it is in the same direction as Diamondback. I guess it could go in the opposite direction but they aren’t clearing that way.3 points
-
yea i was sort of hoping this coasters lift would be in a different direction so the skyline looks more varied and cool. but thats a small price to pay for a kick ass coaster coming to your home park!3 points

To be fair, I don't think Adventure Express has had a piece of standalone merchandise since the mid-1990s3 points

What would be everybody's ultimate 2 color scheme and theming for this new coaster if you could be the one to decide? Me: think Seattle Seahawks uniforms. Fluorescent green combined with dark blue. Alien/outer space theming. You?3 points

Speaking of iconic sounds... that Son of Beast chain in Action Zone. I loved that so much.3 points

I would love to see a dark green track with an orange belly and tan supports. Grey track and black supports would be nice too.2 points

I believe I said this during Banshee's construction, but I hope the park avoids white in the color scheme. I would be concerned with pollen/dust/dirt making the white look dirty, especially if we are back in the woods. I also will never own a white car for this exact reason. I think it looks great on GateKeeper, but they don't have trees/dirt like we potentially could.2 points

It’s hard to speculate on a color without knowing the theme. If it was alien based I’d go green or dark blue track with black supports. If it somehow ties into beast I’d go orange track with silver supports.2 points

Millennium and I305 lifts both face towards the back of the park at their respective parks, while Fury and Leviathan both face towards the parking lot. It will be interesting to which way this one goes.2 points

I don't think we should retheme FOF. I think it's fine the way it is imo. I could see them adding some new decor in the queue line to tie into the new coaster though.2 points

I agree with this, especially when sitting down by potato works to eat something. The loud noise it makes at the bottom of the first hill is weird.2 points

Thinking of a giga I think a charcoal grey with medium blue track would be pretty sweet, example Blue Hawk SFOG. I imagine X Base will change drastically with this addition, while I do love Flight of Fear I would be happy to see it adjust with the new ride. Maybe even change X Base to Outpost 5, update but respect Flight of Fear, reach the sky with the giga, and in a year or two add a Sky Roller or something like that in the area. Everything could keep the spirit of the area and improve simultaneously.2 points

Silver supports. Royal Blue track. (And so what if its like MF? That coaster is beautiful...)2 points

One coaster that has a good “roar” is Raptor at CP. it’s iconic to the midway. I personally think Rougarou is overwhelmingly loud though.2 points

I was stuck in the shed for over five minutes last year. Something was going on with the ride that morning and it was taking longer for them to send trains out. I ended up hearing both "Total Eclipse of the Heart" and "Cars" play out.2 points

Been lurking for a few weeks now, so I guess I'll report in. I went to KI for the first time this past Saturday. Wanted to go last week, but the rain scared me away both days. Past few years I've been trying to convince myself to get a gold pass, but never got around to it. This year I moved really close to the park (literally 5-10 minute drive) so I decided to make the plunge. Don't really have anyone to go with and decided to go solo. Was quite pumped as I hadn't been to a theme park since 2010 when the family last went to CP. I didn't stay too long. I got there at opening and headed back home around 2. I rode most of the coasters, although Invertigo was down so that'll have to be another day. I gotta say I LOOOOOOOOVE the app. Marked my spot helped me a ton. I'd probably still be searching as we speak if not for it. It also helped me locate the rides. Although I suppose as I go more often I'll look at it less and enjoy the scenery more. I liked Backlot, Diamondback, Banshee, FOF, Bat, and Vortex. I did ride Mystic, Adventure, Beast and Racer but thought they were just okay. I think Mystic was good up until the shed so that kinda soured me on it. It wasn't even the disappointment inside so much that it felt like we were waiting forever to go inside. Not sure if that was the normal part of the ride or if there was an extra delay. Gonna see if I like them better the second go round. Also rode Delirium and Drop Tower. Those were really fun and gotta admit I was kinda scared sitting at the top of Drop Tower as we waited to go back down. Caught me by surprise as I was totally not ready. Ate twice once at Jukebox and then had a Cinnabon as I exited the park. It was an enjoyable 4-5 hours to be sure. The fastlane helped somewhat I think, but I'm not sure if splurging for the season-long one was worth the price since I'm so close to the park and can go whenever. Did get asked about it when I sat next to a few people on rides, so that was cool.2 points

The roar of coasters and the sound of the lifts are iconic to any amusement park with coasters! I remember the most exciting things to hear at KI as a kid were the screams from Drop Zone and the Face/Off roar. Also, I kind of miss that noisy lift chain from Firehawk. It had that "click click" charm of a chain lift that could be heard throughout the Coney Mall. We could hear it over The Racer when I worked at the Skyline and Subway in the Coney Mall. Also, the Firehawk roar was pretty awesome too! Sorry nostalgia set in!1 point

We all know why they kept the Firehawk queue... The waiting line for the new bathrooms that everyone will be using! Lol1 point

Let’s just hope that they keep Kennywood the way it is if the deal goes through.1 point
