I think part of the way the entrance works in opening up to the Eiffel Tower is the low ceiling in the entry. I think the contrast from having that lower ceiling and then having it open up with the Eiffel Tower standing in all its glory is what sells that feel of walking in the park. I think whatever form a new entry would take should keep that going. I think there should be some form of arched facade in front to kind of supplement the Eiffel Tower when walking up to it and give it more of a royal/international feel.3 points

I think an entry plaza update will happen eventually, but I hope it stays unique to KI. Keep the turnstyle building as-is structurally, replace the banners and roof. Add the flags back. Put the classic logo back on the berm. Since passes can now be processed at the turnstyle, replace it with something smaller. Just don't mirror CP like Carowinds did. Our entry plaza needs to stay in KI style. While i like your first rendering, I think it's too much for the space as you alluded to. Maybe relocate the parking behind the berm and move the berm back? Your second rendering is much more doable....good work!2 points

Any one else think that Kings Island could use some more thrill rides? With Drop Tower and Delirium being the main ones, they could definently use a ride that sends people upside down. Especially since their two newest coasters don't invert.1 point

Six Flags Magic Mountain announces Wonder Woman: Flight of Courage, the world’s tallest, fastest, and longest single rail coaster! https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=3DSXp4VZxOk1 point

I have to agree. Hershend and Six were adding hours and days as they saw the demand go up. CF was cutting days and hours. I still have not figured out why they could add hours to their staff when CF was the opposite.1 point

Seems that Six Flags is recovering from a lackluster 2020 season quicker than Cedar Fair. I think they also handled everything much better.1 point

I'm personally hoping this is a sign that Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular may return. I've seen Broadway shows and Cirque shows. I've been to Disney parks and have toured the lights of Hollywood in LA. I know quality, top-tier entertainment and believe me when I say it: Snoopy's Starlight Spectacular was one of the GREATEST experiences I've ever witnessed. There was nothing like it on this earth. Absolutely incredible. /s1 point

I really hope they do more focus on flat rides here over the next few years or so honestly. Feel like the park has been lacking in that area for decades. The fact that they are cheaper might make a good way for them to add new rides each year without spending much. Especially if they added 3 one year, be a bit to market then. Could add 2 or 3 as an expansion to Area 72 in the empty space by Flight of Fear.1 point

A Screamin' Swing would be a good fit for the unused land behind Showplace, it wouldn't interfere with the I-Street view because of the terrain drop behind the tower, and would give Rivertown a flat ride again.1 point

My preference for a new flat ride for KI would be either a S&S Screaming Swing or whatever make and model Carowinds' Electro-Spin is.1 point

And sometimes they throw in a red herring just to mess with the fanboys…Ride Sally Ride.1 point

Some more thrill-level flats would be nice, it's a weak spot in the overall ride collection.1 point

I have been on all three of wing riders in the US. While I thought that X-Flight, and GateKeeper were just meh I love Wild Eagle. I could see them getting pretty creative with the layouts if more parks purchased them.1 point

I honestly think wing coasters in the US are on the decline. We only have GateKeeper, X-FLight, Wild Eagle, and Thunderbird and those debuted in the early to mid 2010s. In my opinion I don't get the appeal of current B&M wing coasters aside from the main draw- the trains. Near miss elements enhance the experience significantly but other than that I don't see the hype.1 point

Since they're bringing back old rides from the past now, a coaster like King Cobra would be nice.1 point

Hey guy. Just a friendly reminder to check other posts as well. I am sure there is one that is pages and pages long talking about this haha. @KI Master1 point

KI said they are taking down a coaster and they would anounce it this week!1 point

I have a feeling that they’re going to remove a ride to make room for another. Maybe Firehawk (since it was down pretty much every time I visited (and I made 10 visits this season))?! They could also definitely expand X-Base into the old Dino’s Alive area making it an extension to Coney Mall1 point
