Carowinds....the next Worlds of Adventure.... Attendance is over 2 million but still below the record setting attendance of 2004 and 2005 l, 2.13 million. 2006 remained relatively flat as the park's put it.

The problem with the new toll plaza at Carowinds is they very rarely use more than half of it.

Sounds like Big Dipper needs a rich enthusasist.It almost seems to me that they purposely leave the Big Dipper there for some purpose. To me the poor thing looks like a very slow healing wound(as in natural slowly taking it back).

The Carowinds Yo Yo doesn't Yoyo like a Yo Yo should, it doesn't tilt much if at all. Carowinds had a Wave Swinger from 1979 to 2000 when it was sent to PGA. I am super excited to have one again.

I wasn't aware Mike could do that. I would personally jump at the chance to work at Carowinds again if I could.

I have a better solution.... Avalanche at Kings Dominion! It is a Mack Product and has a rather tame ride plus there is the Volcano next to that could possibly be used as a physical and VR landmark. Example of my idea would be the Volcano erupting during a Olympics race.

But after over 10 years I don't think we see will anything bigger than Kingda Ka in the forseeable future. There again, I guess the term "forseeable future is relative".

You to see a marquee location, come to Carowinds. Chic-Fil-A replaced Country Kitchen in 2014, Country Kitchen was the park's first indoor restuarant and until the 80s the park's largest.

Tweetsie Railroad in Blowing Rock, NC still has their Streco Turnpike, the only one I known of that still exist.

I agree, it used to be optional but I couldn't get back to the desktop the other day from my android.

The price of Disney tickets is an arguement I get tired of, as long as the demand for tickets keeps rising, the price will keep going up; when attendance levels out then prices will likely follow suit if not fall. Adding capacity to the park most likely will not keep the prices from rising. Add a third park(Disneyland) will likely spread the capacity out further than Disneyland and DCA but it most likely will not cause prices to fall at the existing two parks. Cedar Fair doesn't have theming to maintain..... At Disney, it is about details and attractions; Cedar Fair is mainly rides.

Same basic thing happened with Thunder Road at Carowinds back in March.....

The parking lot?

A Waterpark with a major wooden coaster and a few kiddy rides. My opinion is that the waterpark is Alabama Adventure's main draw with Rampage being gravy on the potatoes. As far as rides I am interested to see they go anywhere with them.

Racer has higher capacity because the two tracks can operate independently of each other.
