For Saturdays (the day of the week that has 4 Cirque shows), meet and greets are after the 1st and 3rd shows.
-
Good to know; I will have to check this out when I go Saturday...
-
I rode Python when I was a kid and yes, Sea Dragon is always an option for #99...

Hey all, just bumping this thread as I edited the first post of this thread.

I was reminded of this topic before my night ride on The Bat as there was an announcement to have someone put their phone away as The Bat is more interesting than one's phone. While this is true, would the spiel change with VR (As to quote Son of Baconator they would be essentially "shoving a phone in front of someone's face"). Also, I get that VR is hot right now and it's an interesting concept with coasters (as VR can transport you into another place while mimicking the sensation of a coaster), but maybe they could not do this right now.

This storm is quite interesting; I am safely sheltered at Festhaus. I think Boo Blasters may one of the only things open atm.

While I do agree that DA is great for catching Pokémon, the park itself offers a lot of Pokestops even without DA. In fact, I was able to evolve Clyde (my Golbat) into a Crobat yesterday because of the massive Zubat nest at the park, even without going into Dinos (which I was planning to do). So, not saying it won't be a loss if Dinos leaves (because that's why I mostly go thru Dinos anymore, and also, it's a nice break in the day and it's a beautiful trail) but you can get a ton of Pokestops/Pokemon without necessarily going to Dinos.

Wait... and you'll be at KI on the 4th (I think?)? If so, wow!!!! Still, wow! That's jam packed w/coasters! Interested to hear about La Ronde, Great Escape (I went there in the early 2000s) and of course Boulder Dash! Stay safe and stay hydrated with some good ol' H2O.

I voted Undecided because while it would be cool to have VR on The Bat (as I've ridden it so many times), I'd miss the area's natural beauty (Unless you were racing/following a Crobat lol). Also, there's there's the issue of increasing wait times because of the technology. Although I voted none for the second question, I think the most likely candidates could be The Bat or AE. IMO, VR on FoF would be a bad idea because you are launched indoors and you can't brace yourself from the forces. MDMC, who is "old school" but is considering trying Iron Dragon's VR whenever he gets back to The Point. EDIT: Backlot could be another good VR candidate, but then again, the unexpected forces. Also, if Cedar Fair got the rights to Crash Bandicoot and made AE a VR Crash Bandicoot : The Ride, I'd do it!

So, for those considering riding Slingshot, they appear to have a new system where you pick a timeslot after paying to ride. I don't completely know how it works as I didn't ride today (I opted for Skyflyer instead as I couldn't do SlingShot as a single rider), so if anyone on here does, feel free to let everyone know.

Enjoy the show DubVLegend, it's a great one! -MDMC, who has now seen this season's Cirque: Origins 18 times!

Sure. Crowds aren't too terrible right now. It's not even 11 and I did Delirium (ERT), FoF (x3!), Zephyr, Vortex and just got off Beast.
-
About 9 minutes till tolls open I figured it would be busy today, so I got here early. Anyone else from here planning to be at the park today?
-
As of 2016, that is still true. Specifically, 1/3 of the people (including myself) headed to Raven following rope drop.
-
@VortexBFForever: Well... what did you think?
-
He is my favorite part/character of the show. I feel you really get to know the character through his actions/reactions throughout the show. I also really like In fact, I'll be heading to the 7 PM show after work and I'm so excited!
-
Today when I was riding The Bat, the ride op told the person to put their phone away because The Bat is more interesting than their phone. From the lift, I could hear him say "Ya know, if I had to choose between my phone and The Bat..."
-
The only time I've seen that in recent memory was when the back half of Storm Runner (Hershey) was roped off. However, the park had only been open for less than an hour that day.

My friend texted me around 6:30ish and said that SpritSong was currently suspended b/c of the weather (I'm assuming the show is still going on now as the weather has improved since then). Also, I didn't end up going to the 7 PM Cirque show as planned (due to some unforeseen circumstances...), but I will for sure be at the 3:30 and 5 PM shows tomorrow. Also hoping to get a night ride on Adventure Express as well as ride The Bat, among other rides!

Aside from my favorite act, I enjoy watching the guy on the slackline. Even if he doesn't nail every trick perfectly every time, I've seen some great recoveries from him. Also, Liz, thanks for explaining about the skill/ability of the performers within the scope of the schedule demands. I would love to see some of the more difficult tricks you speak of, but I understand it may not be feasible as they do 3-4 shows a day. I'm going to try to make it to the 7 oclock show Friday and I can't wait!

That thing books it thru most of the course; looks like a cool addition!
-
I rode Mystic twice today and I guess they now refer to the Orange Menace as "Butterscotch". I like his new nickname; it has a nice ring to it. Also, I got to meet @Drummermattk before exiting after my second ride.
-
I'm leaving now and for the AM (got to the park around 11:30), it wasn't too bad. Crowds have picked up a bit in the afternoon; I noticed this increase after around 3:30-4 ish.
-
Good to know. I'll have to check those out later today (as there's a good chance I'll be in the park today)

I went to the park for a few hours last night and had a unique, but fantastic evening. I wanted to take it easy as my neck has been hurting since I woke up Thursday (thankfully, the pain's been going down every day; I suspect to be fully healed Monday or Tuesday) and I didn't want to damage it any further. I mostly rode the flats (specifically Zephyr, Delirium and a night ride on Shake, Rattle and Roll) and saw Cirque (7 PM) and Off the Charts. I also took lots of pics of Mystic Timbers, had a fantastic ride on Bat, and had an amazing Grilled Cheese at Tom + Chee. Speaking of food, I noticed this new sign yesterday: It looks nice, I wonder when that was put in... EDIT: I also hunted for Pokémon in Dinosaurs Alive!
