Let's see, Sandy was pushed out of Cracker Barrel as their stock has tanked since 2021. Michael has seen Virgin stock tank from a high of $1,000 per share to the current trading value of $3. Virgin has been practically non-existent in the space domain. Felipe hasn't seen good stock returns at current employer. Stephen runs an investment firm. I think Felipe and Stephen would be open to selling off to private equity.

Like everything, there are always two sides. The official press release says they decided to resign... After successfully seeing the company through the first year post-merger, current directors Esi Eggleston Bracey, Michelle McKinney Frymire, D. Scott Olivet, and Enrique Ramirez Mena have each decided to resign from the Board in connection with the 2025 Annual Meeting. As such, the Six Flags Board will continue to comprise 12 directors, 10 of whom are independent. https://investors.sixflags.com/news/press-releases/press-release-details/2025/Six-Flags-Announces-Nomination-of-Four-New-Independent-Directors/

They didn't announce it when they were still running to give last rides, so what difference does it make when they announce it during the off-season at this point? It was first suggested on KIC these rides were being eliminated on January 10th and KK makes it official and announces it today (54 days). Let's back up just a few months ago to when Six Flags made announcements in shorter times from when the rumor got out until the official announcement for rides at other Six parks. We have all known about these KK closures for a longer duration of time than what has elapsed concerning Skyflyer....which was first mentioned on February 24th, so as long as KI officially announces it by Passholder preview day, then they announced it faster than KK did from rumor to actual date.... We may not like it, but it is clear this is the industry trend at this moment. And it is clear Six Flags is leading this trend

Despises chain, yet still plans to visit... This is why they can continue doing what they are doing....until folks speak with their wallet and avoid spending any money with them, they gonna continue down this path until enough people do speak with their wallet, at which point that sets the bar for the bare minimum that needs to be done to keep the money coming in. And then a timely give away the gate, and people return...

Six Flags Q4/2024 Results

Some interesting info. Didn't they claim initially that the merger would result in $200M in savings synergies... "We successfully achieved more than $50 million in gross cost synergies and drove meaningful improvement in guest satisfaction scores and higher guest demand.... We are making progress toward realizing the remaining $70 million in anticipated cost synergies from the merger, representing a targeted 4% reduction in operating costs and expenses, while advancing strategic initiatives to drive attendance and guest spending levels higher." Q4 saw a 4.9 million-visit increase in attendance included a 5.0-million-visit increase resulting from attendance at the legacy Six Flags parks during the fourth quarter of 2024, offset slightly by 115,000 fewer visits at the legacy Cedar Fair parks. The decrease in fourth quarter attendance at the legacy Cedar Fair parks was entirely due to the fiscal calendar shift and fewer operating days in the quarter, which resulted in 576,000 fewer visits in the 2024 fourth quarter. We have completed our initial review having identified properties that are less strategic and critical to our long term growth objectives, properties that we would consider divesting under the right circumstances. These include some of the smaller noncore parks as well as excess undeveloped land that isn't critical to future expansion plans. As an example, we are currently in the process of marketing undeveloped land adjacent to our park in Richmond, Virginia. https://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20250227928301/en/Six-Flags-Entertainment-Corporation-Reports-2024-Fourth-Quarter-Results-Provides-Adjusted-EBITDA-Guidance-for-2025#:~:text=Fourth Quarter 2024 Highlights&text=The net loss attributable to,income margin was negative 38.4%.

As expected, legacy Cedar Fair parks have adopted the Six Flags model of requiring 3rd party confirmation of disability. https://sanduskyregister.com/news/567393/new-cedar-point-disability-pass-process-revealed/?fbclid=IwY2xjawItm_RleHRuA2FlbQIxMAABHcDNDBXbaXHuKL-Lk33LKyclplMDgC5moe4-k5obVqVgZ_ru_Gj1eoJwOg_aem_iIQHObUmlL9BuW8tgcHjZQ
