  1. but think of all those savings from locker rental fees!
  2. I got an email today from Kings Island asking about the souvenir cup and season long dining plan. Basically asking if I purchased one if I'm aware of it and if I would support a change in the current system. The new system they proposed in the Survey would affectivily remove the souvenir cup in favor of the plan being added to your park pass which you redeemed you would receive your drink but also a disposable cup. Anyone else support this change?
  3. mike nugent could probably use one of these after that sorry of a kick... This is a joke if you don't want to be scared go attend snoopy's halloween party. Nugent could definitely use one this year.
  4. Rename Invertigo and call it Stinger?
  5. It is because they are not cleaned after use. It's a simple fix in my opinion. All they need is a bucket with wheels, soap and water with a couple long handled scrub brushes. At the end of each day once the last train with riders is dispatched. The next train ( once people disembark) gets sprayed and scrubbed down by two ride operators while being followed by the other 2 ride operators to Push the lapbars close so the train can depart, doing so that the train with riders can make it back to the station and the train that is now wet but cleaned can air dry. Every train will get its chance to be cleaned and dried because in order for the train to be put into storage for the night it must run the course to reach the transfer track. For a park that has difficulty fixing light bulbs, cleaning coaster trains after use probably won't happen. Unless there is a protein spill of course.
  6. Regardless of Collossos being a Intamin pre fab, it is in fact a wooden coaster. Which overtime will need replaced much more readily than the steel counterpart such as a RMC topper track.
  7. Here is a live cam feed of the Preserve Resort near Gatlinburg, you can see the orange glow in the distance. http://www.preservecabins.com/smoky-mountain-webcam-of-the-preserve-resort-in-the-great-smoky-mountains/ I tried to view the webcam on Space Needle in downtown Gatlingburg, but was it was down. Prayers to everyone involved.
  8. The best way to improve queue lines is to not go to the park on days the queue lines are going to be long. So far avoiding the weekends, and holidays have been sure fire ways to decrease your time spent in line.. Also picking to ride FoF Firehawk, or visit Soak City first thing in the morning helps immensely as well. The only time of the year I actually wait in long queue lines at Kings Island is during Halloween Haunt.
  9. I ride Vortex just about everytime I visit the park, and I will say their is one point of the ride that I don't enjoy. Coming out of the second loop causes me to blur out, and I absolutely dislike the first corkscrew after the MCBR drop. I think new trains with new restraints would help, but I'm certain that is out of the parks interest.
  10. Hopefully settling for Floorless Trains come 2018.
  11. Kings Island's Mystic Timbers for Lake Compounce's Boulder Dash.
  12. Kings Island's Vortex, Congo Falls and Invertigo for Kings Dominion's Dominator
  13. I wonder if RMC was ever approached about converting "fixing" Son of Beast.. the New Texas Giant, opened a year before SOB's removal.
  14. I'm 100% against adding any new water ride to the dry park, ( other than it being in Soak City ) till the park lifts the "shoes required to ride policy" on them. It's the sole reason I don't ride water rides in the dry park.
  15. According to Screamscape Ibox track is already in place at the bottom of the lift hill for Meanstreak. I stumbled across a forum on Reddit which had a picture to confirm this. https://www.reddit.com/r/rollercoasters/comments/5bwb1f/ibox_track_on_mean_streak_now_in_place/
  16. I wonder if some of the slides at the now defunct wildwater kingdom at geauge lake will make there way to Soak City in the future.
  17. I would be somewhat OK with a toppler track conversion to The Racer, yet keep the current layout but i fear if they choose to go RMC it will be to the extreme, as in a layout change and conversion to I-box. It wouldn't be the first wooden racing coaster converted before, the first one being Colossus at Six Flags which was shocking to me. Tho I think The Racer would have more popularity if they ran one side of the Racer backwards again.
  18. There was always two coasters I've drawn up in my mind that I'd see for removal because of the land they sit on would provide prime locations for new coasters. That being said I always thought a B&M floorless coaster would fit nicely in the current plot The Vortex currently sits, and a German themed Mack launched / blitz coaster were the Adventure Express currently sits. I find it tho very conflicting in my head because it would include removing the first coaster I have ever ridden.
  19. I hope along the lines of this promotion, paint gets involved in the park. #paintgate
  20. In all honestly I really don't want to see KI get a 300ft+ B&M hyper coaster. I'd much rather have Intamin or Mack design and build our giga coaster in Action Zone. ( Preferably Mack ) I would however, like to see a B&M wing coaster in a X-Base expansion, or a B&M floorless coaster to replace Vortex.
  21. Why not include B&M floorless Coaster? - Angry post from B&M floorless fan.
  22. As I've said before Matt Ouimet was an upgrade to DK, but his main concern has been shareholders.
  23. Whether X-Base is X-Panded or not, hopefully The Racer will get to stay. One thing I like about The Racer being in its current location is that conceals X-Base behind it. Which plays into the themeing of X-Base being a secret military test base that studies flight and propulsion.
  24. Maybe Cedar Fair gets a discount with these back to back additions. You look at Cedar Fair's history with B&M you would see that there was a coaster addition or conversion within the chain just about every year since 2004. ( with the exception of 2007 & 2011 ) Silver Bullet - 2004 Hydra the Revenge - 2005 Patriot - 2006 ( no addition or conversion ) - 2007 Behemoth - 2008 Dominator ( ride relocation ) - 2008 Diamondback - 2009 Intimidator - 2010 ( no addition or conversion ) - 2011 Leviathan - 2012 Gatekeeper - 2013 Banshee - 2014 Rougarou ( conversion ) - 2015 Fury 325 - 2015 Valravn - 2016 Patriot ( conversion ) - 2017 One could only imagine what Cedar Fair's B&M customer awards card balance may look like.
  25. The Racer doesn't need to be RMC'd there is without a question of it needing TLC tho.
