BoddaH1994 Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 With the release of the latest Made To Thrill being posted today, it has shown that they aren’t afraid to make posters from the common to the obscure, the modern to the classics. I had a fun thought experiment with some friends and wanted to expand if onto here. What are some obscure park items, events, rides, landmarks, etc that you would like to see made into Made to Thrill posters? 1 Quote
standbyme Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 I would really like to see a Viking Fury poster in the future…I think it is a both a classic…and an underrated ride. I would also like to see a Dodgem…or maybe a compilation of Dodgem, Monster, Scrambler & Shake Rattle & Roll…although that may be too much to get into one poster cohesively. 1 Quote
jbeast Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 My long lost Flying Eagles! And I agree, Viking Fury would be cool too! 2 Quote
Shaggy Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Puppet Tree. Beastie. Screamin Demon. Guilliver's. Zodiac. WWC. KCKC. Eagles. Fascination Parlor. 4 Quote
Rivertown Rider Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 In addition to one's already mentioned, King Cobra and Firehawk would be two I'd like to see. 4 Quote
MDMC01 Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 I second the above; I would love to have a King Cobra poster! Also, a Haunt poster representing all the major Haunts over the years (Slaughterhouse, Trail of Terror, Chaos, Urgent Scare, etc.), would be cool. 4 Quote
BoddaH1994 Posted July 19, 2022 Author Posted July 19, 2022 @Shaggy I didn’t even think of the eagles! Here are some of mine: 1. All other sections of the park (I assume that’s coming) 2. Timberwolf (make it look like a concert poster) 3. KI Theater 4. Fun, Fireworks & Fifty / 50th celebration 5. Haunt / WF Another direction I feel like they could go is to make faux-advertisement posters. Like: 1. Come see the Flying Wallendas 2. Kings Island opening Spring 1972 3. Plan your vacation to Rivertown etc 8 Quote
rlentless Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 The Rotor Loved it as a kid . . Not sure if my stomach could handle it now. 2 Quote
jbeast Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Oh, The Rotor...I remember an unfortunate evening riding that after stopping at White Castle before heading to the park. Not my best moment! Ha! And a Kenton's Keelboats poster I would buy as soon as it would go on sale. I absolutely loved that ride! 2 Quote

BoddaH1994 Posted July 19, 2022 Author Posted July 19, 2022 I wonder if they can use old IPs (I imagine not). I’d love to see the OG Green Slime Zone with the erupting tower. 5 Quote
BB1 Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 Beastie, Haunt, Winterfest, Soak City, Boomerang Bay, Flying Eagles, Area 72, Oktoberfest, maybe even classic Action Zone. I already have the I Street poster, Banshee (before IP), Bat and Mystic Timbers. Made To Thrill honestly hits it out of the park with every addition they make for the parks. I'm at the point where I have to rotate out posters in my office due to wall space; which is a good problem! 3 1 Quote
Coasterteam Posted July 19, 2022 Posted July 19, 2022 While there is already a Beast poster, wouldn’t have a problem buying another one for Beasts helix 2 Quote
Gabe Posted July 20, 2022 Posted July 20, 2022 I'd like to see a poster of an old favorite-the "It's Fried!" concession stand (since renamed the more palatable "Coney Confections and Treats") 2 Quote
MDMC01 Posted July 21, 2022 Posted July 21, 2022 That'd be interesting! It's Fried! and St. Funnel were my first locations for my first job at the park. Quote
Imperial79 Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 Same here, I didn’t know the cars had a poster! Just bought that, the Son of Beast poster, and the Kings Island 50th blanket! Quote
BeeastFarmer Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 I like the poster, but would rather see it name Les Taxis and/or Ohio Overland Livery. Quote
homestar92 Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 I think we need a poster of the one, the only #Jonathan. You young whippersnappers won't know what I'm talking about, but if you're reading this thread, you've seen it even if you don't know that you have. 2 1 Quote

silver2005 Posted August 15, 2022 Posted August 15, 2022 Does Starbucks still sell overpriced tea inside the park? Also, @jcgoble3 (if you're still lurking), you still have that jacket? I know @malem is clever with a camera. For reasons.... Quote

Yes, Starbucks does still sell overpriced tea. I don't recall exactly which jacket it was, but probably it was the GateKeeper jacket, which I still have but the zipper broke, so it's been retired to the trunk of my car to serve as an emergency jacket if I walk into a freezing cold restaurant (Taco Bell, I'm looking at you). 2 Quote

I passed them up while in the park on Saturday as the line was too long and the prices were too high. And good to see you back, @jcgoble3! I also remember the noodle 2 Quote
