Looks nice, but seems like a lost opportunity to not have included Aerial Chase and RFYL in Camp Snoopy, especially because it would serve as a natural transition to Rivertown. I mean, RFYL is a perfect fit for Camp Snoopy.

It appears that Aerial Chase will be integrated:

Look to the left. At the least, it’s getting painted. Not sure if RFYL is going to be part of it, but I wouldn’t be shocked if it is.

I couldn’t be happier with this!

And if Aerial Chase is getting repainted....let's remind everyone when it was last repainted...

Kinda seems like another short-sided decision to repaint so soon when other rides need a paint job and painting coasters isn't cheap.  What else could have been done by not repainting the same ride less than 2 years apart?

I'm curious as to where the line is drawn on what rides are in Camp and what rides are in Planet. I would love to see flying ace and log flume in camp but I think they could also repaint Linus launcher and Woodstock gliders to incorporate them into camp snoopy so that everything in that back corner from Soap Box to Log flume would then be in camp snoopy

I hope that the new additions can make that back portion of the park a bit less disjointed, particularly when it begins to blend into Rivertown. I feel like Race for Your Life and Linus Launchers feel like they're more in Rivertown, cut off from the rest of Planet Snoopy. I hope they can make it feel a bit more cohesive, but I'm not quite sure how (I think the bathroom is the thing that throws me off, and you can't really eliminate that).

This is a fun addition and should make that area of the park even more fun for kids (just as my kids are starting to age out of it, but oh well).

I'm a bit bummed there's still nothing being done in the Boo Blasters area. That ride could use a major overhaul and/or gutting. I know everyone wants to retheme it to Phantom Theater, but if that ever happens, I'd rather it happen elsewhere in the park. A Peanuts-themed dark ride would be a better fit. But it's really showing its age.

My only concern is that they will require you to have a kid to ride this... hopefully it's like flying ace and Woodstock Express where adults can ride too without stealing someone's kid

Fingers crossed. It would be a shame if so. This ride looks pretty cool!

  • IndyGuy4KI changed the title to Camp Snoopy Arrives in 2024 at Kings Island

Probably one of the few instances with KI where my jaw hit the floor and I needed to find it lol. Definitely was not expecting anything like this to happen in 2024 especially with TT2. My main question is will this reset our coaster clock another few years? Like instead of 2025 being the next big thrill coaster will it now be 2026/27? Who knows. I'm also interested in will it be like Snoopy's Racing Railway where adults have to have a kid to ride? I hope not as Flying Ace and Woodstock Express do just fine without any such requirement and I don't think any other family boomerangs have such requirement. Definitely looking forward to this addition as this back area of Snoopy needed a facelift badly.

If the rumors of Canada's Wonderland getting a coaster in 2025 are true, then probably not.

I doubt it. This likely isn’t “that type” of capitol year.

I did a little research on that because I was curious as well. I looked at two of the Vekoma Family Boomerang coasters listed on RCDB - Raik at Phantasialand in Germany and Boomerang at Energylandia in Poland (which is the exact same model as the one we're getting). The minimum height for both is 1 meter/100cm (a little over 39 inches) and anyone under 1.2m/120cm (a little over 47 inches) has to ride with an adult, but there is no height limit. That leads me to believe that KI's will have a minimum height of 40 inches with anyone under 48 having to ride with an adult.

Is there a way to find this same information on the cw ride. It could help us determine what they will do here.

Interestingly enough, you are not wrong. RFYL used to be a part of Rivertown when it opened with the park.

The coaster of the same name at Canada's Wonderland was made by a different company (ART Engineering out of Germany) so I don't think that one comes into play here, since the height requirements are usually set by the manufacturer rather than the park.

I personally think that we will see something big for 2025 but it won't be a rollercoaster. I think the park is in no hurry to replace Vortex at this point and 2026/27/28 is probably more likely. I could see them doing Phantom Theater 2025 as a big expensive addition or perhaps they do a new dark ride with the tomb raider building. Obviously we have no Idea what rides could be removed in the coming year....

What I'm meaning is that if the minimum requirements set by the manufacturer were let's say the same with this vekoma we're getting. That would mean Cedar Fair enacted a higher requirement than the manufacturer for only letting adults with kids ride. That's really what I'm looking for.
