silver2005
You guys, Winterfest has already started.
DoomPlague
I missed out on Haunt this year for various reasons but managed to get to the park for the last day of the season before Winterfest. I was pretty happy with the reasonable crowds and honestly the ride crews were on point. Everything was running at full capacity other than Banshee running 2 trains and WindSeeker not running. I don't think I saw any stacking on the coasters. Also, tried the spicy mac & cheese from Wishbone. It wasn't a ton of pasta but there was a lot of tender, fatty beef pieces which were surprisingly good. Aside from some insufferable young men trying to start a political chant on The Beast (and annoying the entire train), it was a pleasant end to the fall season. Also, I noticed the music in Rivertown, at least that I heard, was purely instrumental. Is that just a fall thing? I very much prefer that to the country style cover songs. silver2005
I might not do a TR on my visit for the 90% last day, but I'll throw out a few observations- - Mystic Timbers was absolutely HAULING at night, it's the kind of ride I've been hoping for as it's aged. Hopefully it's not too much of an outlier - Loved the marches and Dixieland music in Coney Mall, please keep that KI - The KI Haunt music lineup is abysmal this season - I hope the lighting at night was only indicative of Haunt and not during normal operations and they just didn't change it to normal lighting out of convenience, otherwise- the park needs better lighting at night.

Good grief I believe that same guy was there Friday nite, doing the same thing on Orion around 9pm
Timchat2
If it hasn't been noted elsewhere, the official app is now listing The Racer and Snoopy's Soap Box Racers along with other WinterFest attractions like Flight of Cheer, Snow Flake Lake and Holly Jolly Trolley.
Orion-XL200
Everyone can hope that the Holly Jolly Trolley battery lasts longer than it did last year on each day of operation.
Rivertown Rider
The Notice of Commencement for 2024 and 2025 has now been published on the Warren County site. https://ohwarren.fidlar.com/OHWarren/AvaWeb/#/search (Search for Kings Island) This does appear to have the same issue as the last Notice of Commencement did where they didn't remove all of the previous project companies. I don't see anything on here that would lead to a hint of the '26 coaster installation as GCI, GravityKraft, and Zamperla have all been part of those previous projects that just appear to not have been removed from the Notice of Commencement. Based upon past coaster installations we will probably get another Notice of Commencement for 2026 sometime in the spring of '25.

Since 2026 isn't on this one, I assume this is probably just for the Soak City expansion. However, I am curious as to why we didn't see a Notice of Commencement for 2023-2024 with the addition of Camp Snoopy. If Vekoma was on this Notice, I'd assume it would've been because of Snoopy's Soap Box Racers, but nothing on here seems to related to Camp Snoopy in any way.

Beast off-season work continues now that Racer is done? That's another rumor I'm hearing.

Orion-XL200
Interesting as O’Rourke is listed and they’ve done demo at the park. So is something being removed? 2

It couldn't go higher than that for the old train. But new trains are at a much more steeper incline for the seat.
